The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 168 Mia's Nightmare

Alexander couldn't help but smirk. Poor Teddy!

With Aiden's plan, Teddy was probably going to spend half his day on blind dates.

When Allison and Liliana came out, Aiden immediately scolded Liliana. "How could you let Allison work when she's still recovering?"

Liliana rolled her eyes. Aiden's favoritism was way too obvious.

"It's no big deal. I was just bored and wanted to learn how to make pastries from Liliana," Allison explained.

Aiden was thrilled. As the family sat down for dinner, he noticed Mia wasn't there.

"Where's Mia?" Aiden asked.

"She went to the countryside with Hunter. She'll be back this afternoon," Liliana replied. She wasn't the type to impose a lot of rules, and Hunter was a reliable kid, so she allowed it.

Alexander looked at Allison, noticing her envious expression. "Do you want to go too?"

Allison shook her head. "No, not in my current state. Maybe later. But I did give Mia some problems to solve recently. I'll check her work when she gets back."

Liliana was overjoyed and quickly served Allison a bowl of soup. "Allison, Victor and I have been struggling with Mia's studies. We're counting on you."

"Don't worry, Liliana. Mia is smart; she'll do fine," Allison assured her.

Hearing this, Liliana felt relieved.

Jessa, watching from the side, couldn't help but feel envious, wishing her son could bring home a wonderful daughter-in-law like Allison.

After lunch, Allison got busy in the small study. She had modified the control system to create a small space for herself, using AI technology to set up a virtual workspace. With a simple touch, she could operate everything quickly.

Allison was immersed in the world of code, surrounded by it. "Felix, keep up the pace. If you fall behind, I'll shave your head!"

Felix's face appeared on the large screen in front of Allison, along with Carl and Cleo.

"Allison, you want to bring in another team and decode with the competition team? That's risky! And we have to do it without getting caught. You're going to make me bald!" Felix exclaimed, genuinely worried.

Allison, amused by Felix's theatrics, raised an eyebrow and looked past him. "Sabrina, take over."

"Got it. I'll handle it," Sabrina replied, immediately starting to work. Her code appeared on Allison's screen, and Allison was very pleased.

"Felix, send Sabrina over. I'll borrow her for three months," Allison said.

Felix, suddenly serious, refused. "No way! Sabrina is my team member!"

"Sabrina, are you up for it?" Allison asked.

"Sure, I am," Sabrina replied.

Allison smiled triumphantly. Felix's objections were futile. She booked a flight for Sabrina right away, driving Felix mad.

"If she goes, I'm going too!" Felix protested.

Allison laughed. "Buy your own ticket if you want to come, at your own expense!"

Felix was too angry to speak.

Cleo was laughing so hard she could barely stand.

Carl smiled, though his expression darkened when he saw Allison's injured arm.

"Allison, can you compete with that injury?"

Allison shook her head. "I'm injured, remember? Let someone else take the spotlight. I'll work behind the scenes."

Carl was satisfied with her response but still ended the meeting early to force Allison to rest.

Allison took a nap but was woken up by Mia, who burst into the room with treats. "Allison, I brought you something delicious!"

Startled, Allison almost jumped out of bed.

Hearing the commotion, Alexander came out of his study, his face red with anger. He sternly looked at Mia, but his voice softened as he said, "Mia, what on earth is going on here?"

He then wrapped his arm around Allison's shoulders. "Don't worry, I'm here." Allison took a deep breath, her shoulder throbbing from the sudden movement. Mia, realizing she had messed things up, stood there awkwardly with the treats. Alexander chased Mia out, leaving Allison amused. After treating her wound, Allison found Mia being scolded by Alexander, looking utterly dejected, which made Allison laugh even more.

"Alright, stop scolding her. Mia, let's go to your room. I need to talk to you," Allison said.

Mia perked up and ran to Allison, only to be grabbed by Alexander. "Behave yourself. If you hurt her, you'll be sorry!"

Mia stuck her tongue out at Alexander and ran to her room, showing Allison the treats she brought, including fresh cherries.

"Did the farm have these?" Allison asked.

"Yes! Isn't it great? Hunter grew them for me. He's the best!" Mia said proudly.

"Did you finish the problems I gave you? Let me see," Allison said.noveldrama

Mia's heart sank. She reluctantly handed over her work, and Allison frowned at the high number of mistakes.

"Mia, with this many mistakes, you shouldn't be playing. You'll need to focus on studying for the next two months. I'll tell Hunter not to distract you," Allison said sternly.

Mia was on the verge of tears.

Allison smiled. "Unless you can keep your error rate below 20%, forget about Skycrest University. You might not get into any university."

Allison then spent the afternoon going over the problems with Mia, who was nearly asleep by dinnertime.

"Mia, you need to sleep early tonight after dinner. You've been playing too much," Liliana said, feeling sorry for her.

Mia pouted. "Mom, I used to think Alexander was the scariest, always so cold. But now

I know Allison is even worse. She's a demon!"

Liliana lightly tapped her on the head. "You ungrateful brat! Allison is doing this for your own good!"
