The fate of the Rejected Alpha

21. Mates, part 1.

THE BRAND ONLY HURTS IN ONE

Eyes like a night without stars meets eyes like a sea of blood. One is innocent and fearful and the other is spiteful and murderous. How can they be destined?

Breathing gets hard, both of their hearts racing. Everything that was cold, now seems to be burning. With each step that Occisor takes back, a pain strikes his neck, forcing him to return to his human form. Bloodstain also feels her body being forced to change back.

When she lifts her gaze to look at him, she sees a naked man. She had never seen a man naked before and certainly not one so beautiful.

He’s virile and muscular, while she’s just bone and skin. With her face burning, she raises her hands to cover it, but then realizes that she’s also naked, which further increases her embarrassment. The silence is cut by the man’s howl of pain. Frightened, she sees lines of smoke rising from the ground caused by the heat emanating from his body.

Why is he in so much pain? She asks herself as she watches him.

Occisor’s neck begins to radiate a silver light, so does the young woman’s thin neck, but unlike the male, she feels no pain. After a few seconds, the pain disappears and Occisor gasps for a few more seconds, falling on his knees. The whistle of the wind is the only sound she can hear. .

“I don’t believe this!” Occisor mutters lowly.

Bloodstain sits on the ground and hugs her knees as just as Guilla had told her, the word “mine” screams at her mind.

Why, goddess? Why him? He’ll never love me, Bloodstain laments internally. She lays her head in her arms and begins to cry. She never imagined that she would be the mate of a murderer. But isn’t that what I am, too? A killer who carries the bloodstains of her crimes on her back. Someone who shouldn’t exist. Is that why she’s his mate?

She cries harder and Occisor feels the sadness almost bordering on depression exuding from her.

This doesn’t change anything, I’ll still kill her. Occisor stands up determined to go all the way to the end of his slaughter. But as he approaches the young woman, her thoughts take him by surprise.

“I just wanted someone to love me and accept me. I just wanted to know happiness for once in my life and not just be rejected again,” she repeats in her mind, leaving it open for him without realizing.

But he doesn’t care what she’s feeling, even though the sadness is going to hurt physically, and he’s feeling this pain twice as much because of his curse. All he wants is to see her dead.

He walks a few more steps toward the young woman and turns his fingers into sharp claws.

If only silver is capable of mortally injuring a Lycan’s body, why do they manage to kill themselves using their claws and teeth? The humans wondered and later the church researchers, with Mary Van Helsing’s help, kidnapped and studied the body of a Lycan cub.

Lycan’s claws are not like those of common wolves; after birth the claws are no longer soft and begin to be coated by a substance similar to silver. Somehow, that silver substance doesn’t harm the owner, however, it is even more lethal on other wolves than the silver used by the humans.

Occisor raises his transformed hand in order to sink it into his companion’s skull, however, he can’t continue. Stopping halfway, his pupils dilate and tremble and a mixture of anger, fear and hatred overflow him all at once.

“I just didn’t want to be rejected again, I just wanted to be loved. But all that awaits me now is death. Forgive me, Guila and Bruno,” she thinks and he listens once again. He falls to his knees in front of her.

That is not happening. Why can’t I kill her? Why doesn’t my body obey me and let me rip her head off her neck? He punches the ground, scaring her even more, who lifts her head and looks at him while still cowering inside her own arms.

He’s so close. Is his hair as soft as it looks? In order to clear that doubt, she raises her hand, but before she can touch it, Occisor brutally slaps her limb.

“Don’t you dare touch me!” He says in a low tone, but Bloodstain can feel his hatred in every word.

Occisor lifts his gaze again, and now looks more carefully at the female in front of him. A thin woman, malnourished like an ill patient counting the days until their death. Her long black hair is dry and all tangled and the smell that comes from it it’s not pleasant. She has dark circles below her blue eyes

He lowers his gaze to her neck and it is then that he sees it, one letter like a tattoo on her skin. R for Rodolf, the name given to him by his mother.

What will be the letter on my neck?

“Come on,” Occisor gets up from the ground, but Bloodstain doesn’t move. “Are you fucking deaf?”

Occisor’s scream only makes Bloodstain shrink further.

“I-I don’t… I don’t want to go with you,” she says in a thin voice.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

“First of all, I didn’t give you a choice. Second, I call the shots and you obey. Isn’t that how your kind works?

Yes, it is so, but I don’t want to be just a servant who obeys you, a cold male who doesn’t care about anything, she replies in her mind, that time blocking him away from her head.

With only silence as his answer, he takes a deep breath to keep himself as calm as possible. Occisor looks at her and is annoyed to see her with her face turned away from him. How he wanted to be a patient person at times like this. Without care, with one hand he pulls her arm and with the other he grasps her waist and lifts her. Her sounds of protest to him are like nothing. He throws her on his shoulder like she weighs nothing.

She’s too light, it doesn’t even feel like I’m holding a body, he thinks and starts to walk back to the base.

She punches his bare back and the faint blows are like tickling to him, but what’s really making him angry are her screams. To make her stop it, he slaps her hard on her ass. She startles and shuts up immediately feeling her cheeks burn.

The coachman is no longer there. Mary already took the supplies and sent him away. The smell of piss and fear are still impregnating the place. Mary even wondered if there was a wolf stealing the carriage, especially in the Murderer hometown. Even if her brain imagined several answers, for sure, she would never have imagined that the wolf was the female destined for Occisor and that she would finally meet her.

The goddess watches everything with a smile. Now all she has to do is to wait for the magic to happen. One will be the salvation of the other, and together they will be the salvation of all.

That’s what the goddess wants, and that’s how it’s going to be.
