Chapter 2191
Meg sighed. "Mr. Chand, just look at your friend-who wouldn't be interested after just a look? Just be glad that I'm nice. Anyone else in my place would be goading Lugh into cutting ties with you."
Jason snorted, waving her off. "Not gonna happen. I know the man! He may appear haughty, but he's also very loyal-heck, he knows that you're up to your little schemes when you come up to him, but he never rejects you because you mean no harm. If anything, he's going all out to help you." Meg nodded Jason was right about that.
Just take today for starters-what bigwig would have come running just because she called?
But Frank did, proving that her judgment was correct.
Just then, the valet ran inside.
"Why aren't you outside? What are you doing here?" Meg scowled.
"Trouble, Ms. Quill!" the valet exclaimed nheless. "There are thugs everywhere, demanding that lady Mr. Frankton brought, but she's out jogging with the bouncers, so they're now breaking everything!"
Even as he finished, they could hear crashing downstairs.
Meg hurried downstairs, with Jason quickly following to find a scene of chaos.
One of the thugs whom Sadie had punched down earlier stood at the center. He was no longer acting like a pervert and was shouting charismatically like a real leader as he yelled, "Break anything you like. Don't worry, the boss will take responsibility for anything!"
The thugs were only too happy to continue at those words, just as the thug saw Meg and grinned ear-to-ear. "Long time no see, Ms. Quill!"
"What do you want?!" Meg demanded.
"What do we want?"
The thug sneered. "It's that obvious? I'm warning you-our boss is friends with Pax Jaric! Who do you think you are, walking all over us?!
"I don't mind saying that I like you a lot. And since our boss said that we can do anything short of murder, I'd advise you to come quietly!"
As he finished, he turned to the other thugs and yelled, "Go! Tear this place down-if you do well, I'll let you have Ms. Quill once I'm done with her!"
The thug lackeys were furthernoveldrama
encouraged, as it was the first time
many of them had ever seen
someone as hot as Meg. They would die happy if they had the chance to even kiss her!
However, Meg smirked. "Do you really think you get to strut here?"
The thug laughed. "Yes. Now, kneel!"
"Kneel? Did I hear that right?" Jason asked, pricking his ears.
The thug recognized Jason and was ready to insult him, but he had also heard that Jason was close friends with Donnie Ingram's future son-in-law recently.
Afraid to overstep, he instead said
et
respectfully, Mr. Chand, we're not disrespecting you here, but we're just following orders. We can stay our hand from Ms. Quill out of respect, but we'll still tear this place down! Now go upstairs, boys!"
At the thug's orders, his lackeys charged upstairs, but Jason was chuckling in exasperation. "I could've mediated this as a third-party, kid, but you're done for now. You just messed with the one man you shouldn't."
The thug laughed. "This town is only that big, Mr. Chand. Who haven't I met? Who here isn't to be messed with? As long as we don't make this ugly, everything will be fine."
However, just as the thug finished, one of his lackeys was sent flying downstairs, followed by a second and a third!
And they just kept falling!
Eventually, Frank leapt downstairs, stepping over the lackeys who were writhing and groaning to reach the thug. "You're their leader, I take it?"
The thug was left too stunned to speak.
What the hell? How was this brat so strong?!
What do you think?
