The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2242

Everyone returned upstairs to continue the party, and it was eventually late.

Even Jada got tipsy, no longer haughty and actually jovial and girly.

"She's so hot... I'd be expecting my second child if I were you," Alda blurted at Frank from alcohol

Frank was not sure if he should laugh or cry-such words from a lady? No one would believe him.noveldrama

"It's late. Time to go," he said, standing up.

"Wait, Mr. Frankton!" Jada was suddenly on her feet too, wobbling toward Frank and cutting him off. "It's a joyous occasion... Let's hit the dance floor too!"

Frank waved her off. "Forget it. I've been to Golden Lily enough times that I'm bored, and the dance floor is even worse. I prefer having my safe space without getting molested or molesting for that matter."

Jada pouted, shaking her head silently.

Even Sylvie smiled in wry amusement as she watched, surprised the girlboss was such a maiden inside.

Talk about some serious contrast...

"Be good. Maybe we will do it some other time." Frank chuckled.

Seeing that Frank had put it that way, Jada knew that there was no chance even though she was drunk.

Sighing, she turned and said, "Ms. Wal? Could you help me to my car?"

Sylvie was surprised to see Jada suddenly speaking as if she were sober.

Still, despite suspecting Jada for pretending, she went up and lent her a helping hand. "You're really something else, Ms. Turin."

Jada said nothing as she kept pouting grumpily.

Whitney was the driver, since she did not drink. Still, she was slightly unaccustomed to the length of the Rolls-Royce and worried about messing things up for Frank so she drove really slowly.

"You can go faster, Ms. Chandler," Jada urged as she rode shotgun. "The sun's going to be up soon."

Then, realizing that she might have been threatening and giving Whitney the wrong idea, she added, "Don't worry, I can afford a new one even if you wreck this one."

Whitney nodded but remained at cruising speed, as if she was not in a hurry.

Sylvie was in the backseat, fiddling with Frank's phone, when a suddenly glaring light flared from behind the car. "What the heck?!"

She turned to find three MPVs streaking toward them, two of which quickly pincered the Rolls-Royce and were ready to crash into them!

Terrified, Whitney jammed her foot on the gas pedal, and the car shot forward, while the two MPVs missed them and crashed into each other!

"Whoa! Even a Rolls-Royce shouldn't handle this well!" Whitney exclaimed, as she had been going at cruising

speed for so long that a ssing t

Jada laughed. "You wouldn't have known, but this one was specifically calibrated to be quicker than most other cars. Just accelerate, and we'd leave them far behind."

Whitney certainly did not care now if she wrecked the Rolls-Royce now, as someone was trying to hurt them.

She floored the gas pedal, swiftly

getting away from the three MPVs and soon entered an apartment compound, where she finally sighed in relief I didn't think the city was that bad... Like people trying to kill us in the dead of night? That's scary."

"Don't worry. We'll make them pay soon." Jada cracked her knuckles.

Everyone got off, but just as they were ready to head upstairs, a group of thugs strode toward them, and it was none other than Urich Hampton leading them.

"Good. you spared me the effort of looking for you." Jada smirked as she flexed her limbs, but she wobbled a little as she could not fight off her drunkenness completely.

Sylvie rushed up and stopped her. "Hold it, Ms. Turin—you're not the only one who can kick ass around here. Let me have this one, to repay your boss for throwing me so many artifacts."

Jada nodded. "Okay! I still have a bottle of Dom Perignon back home-let's pop it open later!"
