Chapter 2364
Dawn shook her head. "I think I need to do this on my own, since your medicine doesn't work!"
As she finished, her pupils constricted as she started foaming at the mouth. Soon, she collapsed on the couch, convulsing as she saw stars.
Frank promptly resuscitated her and infused her with the power of the spiritron vein. She soon regained consciousness, exclaiming in shock, "W-What just happened? I-I almost died there!"
"You're fine!" Frank assured her. "It's alright. Your brain must have overloaded and frozen for a moment like a computer. You'll be fine after some rest."
Dawn nodded. "Well, at least it wasn't fruitless. Guess what, I remembered something else! There's this girl called Skai Veeka who keeps addressing me as her superior!"
Frank frowned. "Skai Veeka?"
Could that be a misunderstanding and the misreading of the title Sky Vicar?noveldrama
Considering where he found Dawn, he wondered for a second if she was a reincarnated deity.
Still, he soon shook his head and banished those weird thoughts.
After all, that was too otherworldly, and Frank was not a believer of the paranormal. Even the spiritron vein confessed that science could understand it, and divine beings were hardly what the myths claim.
Sighing, Frank told Dawn, "Get some rest."
Dawn walked away but wobbled in a couple of steps, and Frank quickly caught her. Helping her to his private lounge, he brewed a cup of tea and left it in front of her. "You don't have to push yourself-take it slow if you can't remember."
"Okay," Dawn said, but she did not agree inwardly.
She was freeloading off Frank-how could she keep troubling him?
Jouri Yelin arrived in the afternoon, shrugging, "Sorry, Mr. Frankton. I couldn't find the person you asked for! It's curious, but all the hits are either geezers in their eighties or infants. Forget anyone in their thirties-none of them are teenages of in their forties.
"Also, all of them have fully intact body parts, without scars on their faces or missing ears!"
Frank smiled and nodded.
It was understandable-if Monte
Petale really had something that deterred the power of the spiritron vein, he must know it. As such, there would be plenty of people out to find him, so he would be hiding himself well.
"Try searching among the deceased, Frank suggested. "Also, there's another person I need you to find: Skai Veeka. I have nothing to offer but the name, so give me all the data you can get."
"Skai Veeka? Who?" Jouri asked, curious.
Frank shrugged. "According to Dawn, that's her servant who often followed her around."
Jouri laughed. "Don't tell me... Is she actually the Sky Vicar? That pun is so dumb that I want to fine you for it."
Frank was not in the mood for jokes, however, and chased her away.
"Fine, whatever!" Jouri groaned. "Also, Callie Wright wants a meet!"
"Callie Wright?" Frank's eyes lit up.
Callie was with BM Group, and while she could be unpredictable, she always followed his orders.
And this meant that BM Group was willing to sit down with him.
"They're asking to meet in Yellowrun. Should I send someone to check out the place, in case it's a trap?"
Frank waved her off. "Nope. I could use this opportunity to put my foot down!" After seeing off Jouri, Frank got Moxxi and told her about the meeting with Callie.
What do you think?
