The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 533

A few cars drove on the main road in the southern suburbs, making their way to Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital.

In the back seat of the first car, Leo was on the phone with Greg Norris, his grandfather. "Hi, Grandpa. I'm currently on a mission."

Greg chuckled. "How's your mission coming along?"

Leo didn't know what to say, so he casually replied, "All good."

Greg remarked with a smile, "That's great to hear. When I'm still around, make sure you take this chance to shine and rack up some merits. A Medal of Honor is out of the question, but you've still got a shot for a Silver Star or Bronze Star."

Upon hearing Greg's words, Leo couldn't help but smile bitterly. His primary task now was cleaning. Leo could forget about the Bronze Star since he couldn't even get verbal recognition.

"Don't worry, Grandpa. I'll work harder."

Greg added with a grin, "Don't take it lightly. You need to keep it in mind. You'll need to write a detailed report on the highlights, lessons learned, and any insights from this operation. Make it detailed and turn it in when you're done."

Leo's expression darkened. All he did was haul bodies, clean the blood on the floor, and sweep the place clean. What were the highlights? Did Leo learn any lessons? Were there any insights to gain?

"I'll pass on writing a report this time. I'm just not feeling it."

Greg furiously glared. "How can you not take this seriously at all? If you don't have any takeaways, just make something up. Even if your mind is blank, you still have to write down some insights. How do you expect me to pull strings for you? Do you want that promotion or not?"

Leo sighed. "I honestly have no takeaways. There's just nothing for me to write."

Greg felt frustrated like he wanted to knock some sense into Leo. "How can you be so bad at this? Fine then. Just tell me what you've done in your mission. I'll have someone write it up. All you need to do is sign it."

Leo furrowed his brow and stayed quiet on the line. After thinking for a while, he sighed, "There's really nothing to write about this time."

Noticing Leo's reluctance, Greg started to worry. "How's there nothing worth mentioning? Tell me what you've done. I'm sure we can come up with something."

Faced with Greg's insistence, Leo reluctantly opened up. "It was mostly just cleaning duties."

What? Cleaning duties? Greg was in disbelief. Don't they have janitors for that? Why on earth would they need a military officer like you to clean? What are you talking about?"

IMS

Leo explained, "By cleaning, I meant dealing with bodies and cleaning up blood."

Greg was startled. It was a time of peace, and Leo had only been sent to Lambda City.

Feeling perplexed, Greg asked, "Where are all these bodies coming from? What exactly is your mission?"

Leo scratched his head. "You'll probably know the details of the mission soon enough. Things are getting pretty serious."

Greg got even more upset. "Isn't this the perfect chance to make a name for yourself? Cleaning up the battlefield ranks below the kitchen crew.

"Who assigned you this? How dare he ask you to do the cleaning? Is he out of his mind? Tell him who it was. I'll call him right now."

Without hesitation, Leo said, "Matthew."

Greg went silent, appearing to mull over the name. After a while, he remarked, "Who the hell is Matthew? Never heard of him. Does he knownoveldrama

I'm your grandpa? What makes him think he can make you clean

Leo thought for a moment before responding, "Do you know Horace, Grandpa?"

Horace? Mr. Wood? Greg was shocked. "Of course, I know Mr. Wood. Are you saying he's working for Horace?"

Leo continued, "Have you heard about Isaac, Horace's grandson?"

Greg was confused, not knowing how the conversation had led to this. "Yes. I know that Isaac is Horace's favorite grandson. He's also the future successor of the Wood

elne

family. He's brightest young, talent among the kids from the military families."

Leo nonchalantly stated, "Matthew killed Isaac."

The line fell silent. After what felt like ages, Greg finally spoke. "Is Mr. Miles aware of this?"

Leo responded, "Yes."

Greg earnestly instructed, "I understand. Make sure you do a good job with the cleanup then. Whatever Matthew tells you to do, you must follow his orders."
