The Lycan's Soul Mate

chapter 14 Training Day

chapter 14 Training Day

Soccorah walked up to the Gymnasium after school where she met up with Luna and a few other girls

for a meeting scheduled by coach Lucian to participate in a meet against Athena’s Community college.

They were supposed to practice track. He led them to the field and had them begin running laps.

Coach was rough on the girls and had them pushing hard. He really wanted to win this meet.

They practiced javelin, shotput, long jump, high jumps and relays. Luna and Soccorah dominated

everything. They only had an hour to practice so after finishing all their challenges they sat on the

bench to cheer on the rest of the team. “Hey Luna, what do you think about coming over tonight for a

sleep over. No family thing happening this weekend” she smiled.

A week ago when Luna had offered to go over to Soccorah house she had shot her down to practice

some long anticipated magic so she didn’t want her friend to be too disappointed or to think her weird

and not help her as she really needed help with Anatomy and Chemistry. Soccorah had a natural

aversion to those subjects and needed to grasp them in order to succeed.

Luna agreed to spend the night but she just had to inform her parents. This shouldn’t be a problem.

She now knew what had been causing her so called somnambulism. It was her wolf wanting to come

out and her body fighting it. Now that she had shifted, she knew what to expect and she could just run

away if she felt a shift coming anyway.

It had been a long time since she had a friend let alone a sleepover. Haily had always invited her but

she later found out what a bitch she was. Hailey had been using her to gain points with her rich friends

as she desperately wanted to remain in their company. She’d made fun of Luna. But life has a way of

biting you in the back. Right now, Luna was living her best life and she really didn’t care what Hailey

was up too.

“Coach might as well relax. He knows that we could take home the trophy just us two. It’s the boys he

has to worry about.” Soccorah said to Luna. The two of them laughed at the reality of it.

Luna zoned out and drifted to the dream that she had of the beautiful black wolf with the full moon

tattoo on his chest. She was taken aback by what went on in her dreams. She could literally feel the

wolf’s fur brush against her skin. “What is happening to me” she thought to herself. “Luna! Luna! Hey

are you ok?” Soccorah called out to her. When Luna came back to reality, she noticed that everyone

was gone and Lucian was standing above her asking whether she was ok.

“Oh, my goodness did I just doze off? In the middle of practice? I am so sorry Coach. I honestly don’t

know what came over me.” Luna apologized. Coach Lucian smiled and simply said “Just don’t fall

asleep during the competition and we’ll be fine. Now go on and try to get some rest.” “Thanks coach”

they both muttered and walked toward the campus. “Let’s hit the showers”

Soccorah was still baffled at how it was possible for Luna to be so good at everything. She even

seemed to be faster than Luca. But that could not be determined as she was still not sure whether

Luna was keeping something from her or maybe she was just that good. But no human could outrun

Soccorah in track and yet still Luna did. No one could be stronger than her but apparently Luna

seemed to be. She secretly decided to test her with some herbs when she got to their house for the Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

sleepover later. “Luna! Are we still on for the sleepover later?” Soccorah asked. “Of course,” Luna

replied. “Just have to let my parents know and grab a change of clothes.” She smiled. Luna was very

excited as this meant a lot to her that someone actually wanted to spend time with her. She was not

used to this type of treatment but she somehow managed to secure a friendship without any effort in

spite of her peculiarities. She collected her stuff and headed home to get ready.
