CHAPTER 30
Traizle
“Why is that?” I asked, confused at her answer.
“He is outside-waiting for you, maybe?” she said before answering a call.
Is he really outside? I still don’t want to talk to him. His confession is the first reason I should avoid him.
I stopped thinking when my phone vibrated. As I get my phone, I immediately see if it is important.
“I think it’s urgent-not so very important as it seems.” I said, looking at the name who messaged me.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
I intended not to read his message, but he showed himself at the door, waving and smiling at me, showing his big smile and white teeth.
I was about to avoid his path and pretend I didn’t notice him, but the owner’s expression tells me to go out and talk to him.
“I need to work, Boss. Talking to him would lose me a fortune in just an hour.” I reasoned, stating the fact as well.
“You told me to ask for money and think of it as your other sideline.” the owner replied, getting back what I had told her a while ago.
I sighed in defeat. I think I have to talk to him, so that this will end early. Making him wait will make this situation longer and I don’t want that.
“I will be back in an hour.” I told the owner.
“Take your time, don’t worry too much.” The boss answered and smiled sweetly at me.
If she is a different kind of an owner, I think I am fired already.
Heading out of the Snack Bar, I can see Zarsuelo looking my way.
“What do you want?” I asked as soon as I went out the door.
“That’s mean,” he said grumpily. “The first thing you said in the morning to me is what do I want?” He added.
“I need to work, so tell me quickly what you want to say.” I told him.
“Spare your time with me for a while, can you?” He asked, sounding as if he was pleading already. “I wanted to explain everything.” he added.
I guess we really have to talk. So that we can end the things we need to end.
“Where?” I asked.
“Let’s talk at the cafe nearby.” Zarsuelo replied, pointing his hands to the right side.
I followed him to the cafe nearby that he was referring to. We ordered a coffee and, surprisingly, there was a bun with chocolate filling inside.
“You didn’t take your breakfast right?” Zarsuelo asked as he was sitting in front of me.
“Yeah, how did you know?” I asked back.
“It is just you who are still ignoring me. Lyndon told me, you didn’t eat one,” he answered, putting the coffee in front of me. “Here, eat this too. I just knew this place because of this.” he added, pertaining to the coffee and chocolate filled buns.
I quietly drink my coffee and eat the buns.
“You still mad at me?” He asked, starting to open up the main topic. “I also know what I did last night.” he added.
“So, what about it?” I asked and drank my coffee.
“It is true that I like y-are you okay?” He worriedly asked.
I choked. “Why are you going into that topic already?” I asked, growling quietly just for him to hear me.
“Because I feel like I need to explain that one early,” he answered, getting a tissue beside the table and helping me to clean up the mess I made. “I am really sorry for what happened. I didn’t want to offend you in any way. It is just, that is how I feel about you.” he added.
“You are confusing me too much. How and when did you start liking me? It’s been a month since we met. We don’t know each other that much, so why and how?” I asked continuously.
He smiled. “Let’s just say that you are amazing and I find everything about you cool. I started to like you not in a romantic way, then situations occurred and I couldn’t help but be amazed by you, ending up liking you in a romantic way,” he explained. “That is why I started to claim you, calling you endearments that you hate and ending up resigning.” he added, pouting at me.
Is this oddball serious?
Is he joking or not?
But I can’t see the expression that he is just tricking me.
“When I start to like something or someone, I will make sure to get their full attention. That’s why I’m bothering you in any way I can. But won’t you like to come back to the Grand Finance?” he asked. “I’m not going to call you any endearments again, and I’m going to behave myself, unlike before.” he added.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t think properly now.” I answered. “I am still confused and trying to absorb everything.” I added.
“I have been drinking for straight days now, you should get worried about me. I thought you wouldn’t talk to me and just avoid me. I guess you are an odd woman. That is what makes you more attractive.” he shared.
Wait? What?
I am an odd woman?
Coming from the oddball one?
Do I deserve to be called an oddball by someone who is a real oddball?
“I want to talk to you so that I can say what I wanted to tell you,” he added. “I will earn your forgiveness, I can wait and be patient. Since you know that I like you already, I will show you how I feel more obviously, but since I have to respect your decision, I decided to do it just in front of you and for the others who don’t know us yet.”
Am I hearing things clearly?
He doesn’t sound like he is sorry at all. It’s more like he is indicating what he will do soon.
Is this what they call a front attack? Direct attack?
“I don’t think I will agree with that, Zarsuelo.” I answered, trying to object.
“I told you already that when I started to like something or someone, I would make sure to get their full attention. Let just say that I am close to being obsessed. You have to make me unlike you if you want me to stop.” he replied, showing his wide smile.
He tricked me a while ago with his apologetic look!
“I am too stressed lately because you are avoiding me. You are not even working with me as well. So I drank for days. I need to make you like me back. That is the only option I have.”
