The Reclaimed Rose (Annalise and Steven)

Chapter 624

Sasha nodded as she tallied the money she received. She added them to a new group chat. With a serious expression, she fell into deep thought.

Shane asked, "What's wrong?"

"I was expecting a small crowd, so I only booked a room," Sasha said before immediately calling the hotel.

When the hotel confirmed that a hall was available, Sasha booked it immediately. She outlined her

requirements to the hotel and requested that they set up for the event tomorrow. Once she confirmed the booking fees, Sasha immediately transferred the money to them.

Sasha stared wistfully at the remaining sum before sending it all to Zane.

In response, Zane sent her a question mark.

Reluctantly parting ways with the money, Sasha replied, "After hearing that you're going to be there, everyone's bringing more people to the class."

When Zane read that, he felt baffled.

Sasha continued and wrote, "I sent you the remaining sum from the hotel fees. I didn't pocket any portion of it."

Shortly after Sasha's text, Zane sent her money.

Sasha asked, "What is this for?"

"Consider it a commission. But remember, this will be the last time," Zane wrote.

Zane was wealthy enough to not care about that money. After all, he had never been fond of events like these. If Annalise hadn't encouraged him, he wouldn't have agreed to join-it was too much of a hassle. Sasha replied, "Got it."

The sunlight streaming through the window bathed the living room in warmth. I had been thinking of Sasha, who had just left.

! peered out the window with a smile and said, "Lately, we've been focusing on Willow, and she's been improving just as we hoped.

"Her autism has greatly improved.

She never wanted to speak, but now, she can perform on stage. She could even travel by herself with her grandparents. She's like any@ther normal child now," I said.

Then, I noted, "Perhaps it's because I've been so focused on Willow, but I belatedly realized that the people around us have been growing, too."

"Hmm?"

Zane had been so immersed in his work that he never noticed those things either.

I chuckled and said, "In the past, Sasha was an arrogant, extravagant, and dreamy. young woman who only thought about romantic novels and love. When a man caught her attention, she'd relentlessly cling to him, hoping he would eventually fall inlove with her."

But the truth was that Zane had many people in his life. If Zane were the kind to fall for someone over

time, he would have already fallen for many other people.

importantly, she's starting her own business now. Who knows? It may not take long for her to be a successful female entrepreneur."

As I said that, I sounded more hopeful.

Zane lightly patted my hand and said, "You're only talking about her and not about yourself."

I said, "Me? When I first divorced, I had nothing. Now, I have a loving daughter, a doting boyfriend, and a

healthy savings account. These are all positive changes.

"But most importantly, I found a career I love and am passionate about."
