Chapter 1941
“Hannah!”
Grace caught up to her, concern evident in her eyes.
“What’s wrong? Why are you leaving so suddenly? You need to tell me what’s going on so I can explain it to my brother.
”
Glancing at Dotson, Hannah gestured to him to bring the car around.
Once she was alone with Grace, Hannah said lowly, “Something serious has happened to the Compton family.
I have to return immediately, or…”
She paused, worry etched on her face.
“I’m afraid my father might not make it out of the hospital.
”
Grace gasped and instinctively covered her mouth, her eyes wide with concern.
Nodding slightly, she said, “I understand.

I’ll inform my brother.
Please take care, Hannah.
”
Smiling, Hannah gently ruffled Grace’s hair and said, “If anyone bothers you at school, don’t hesitate to let us know.
Even if I’m not here, your brother will always have your back.
”
Grace clung to Hannah’s arm, smiling, “I’ll miss you, Hannah.
”
As they spoke, Dotson pulled the car up to the house entrance.
Hannah gently tapped Grace’s head and said, “I’ll be back soon, and I’ll bring you a gift when I return.
”
Just as she finished speaking, Dotson rolled down the window.
“Boss, the next flight leaves in two hours.
If we leave now, we’ll make it!” he informed her.
“Understood,” Hannah replied.
She then turned to Grace and said, “Go back and keep Mr.
Mitchell company.
I’ll get in touch with you and Bryson once I land.
”
Grace nodded and muttered, “Okay.

After securing her seatbelt in the car, Hannah gave Dotson a slight nod, and the car sped off.
A short while later, Dotson cleared his throat and said, “Boss, you must’ve heard that the head of the Compton family was poisoned and hospitalized.
Dilan and others who’ve infiltrated the family know who did it, but the culprit took his own life before they could question him.
They still haven’t identified who was behind culprit, and… Dilan said you could punish them however you see fit.
He admitted it was their fault for not securing the house better.
”
“It wasn’t their fault.
There are too many people who want Wallace dead.
It’s impossible to guard against them all,” Hannah said and looked out of the window.
There was only one name that came to her mind-Remington.
She pulled up Remington’s number on her phone but didn’t dial.
A call now might tip off their enemies, putting Wallace at greater risk, even though he was well-guarded in the hospital.
After hesitating for a moment, she locked her phone.
“When we arrive, we won’t head straight to the Compton estate.
Contact Dilan and have them keep monitoring the situation.
We’ll go to the hospital first.
