Triplets for the Billionaire novel (Oliver Gusto)

Chapter 31

Chapter 31

“I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it. I had no idea She was staying with you. Why do you ask?”

“You know, life happens even if we can’t help it. I just feel you both have things to talk about. I mean, a whole lot of things!”

Oliver frowned, wondering what it could be because as far as he remembered, he had no business or pending conversation with Katherine. They only had a nightstand and that was all.

“Can’t you tell me about it?”

Beatrice shook her head.

“I don’t think I’m in the position to say anything. Besides, some things are not just my story to speak of. And I trust the daughter I have, She would probably murder me if I said anything. Come to think of it, I’m still as confused as you are and I feel only you could get clarifications from her.”

“I hope this is not a plan between you and my Dad to trap me here or something?” Ollie looked at her suspiciously.

“No honey,”

“My daughter is just so secretive and I feel She has something to say to you.”

“I find that very strange since we never had any unfinished business but It’s cool, I’ll talk to her if you want me to.”

Beatrice and Oliver diverted into other lively conversations. They did that for almost forty minutes after which Beatrice decided to retire for the night.

“I need my beauty sleep so I don’t look like a tired bride.” She said as they walked side by side to the guest room.

“Isn’t it crazy that you still get excited by weddings even after being married five times?”

“It’s still my big day so I have to be excited about it..”

“Yeah! Congratulations and I can’t wait to see you in your beautiful dress tomorrow.”

“Oh, I can’t wait either. You’re going to be blown away.”

Ollie chuckled. “I think you should only be concerned about impressing your husband.” Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“Oh please! He knows he’s getting married to a very sexy wife so you all are free to stare as much as you want and also compliment.”

“Noted. I have no doubt you are going to be the most beautiful tomorrow.”

“Of course,” She blushed. She honestly couldn’t wait to show off her beautiful dresses in her sexy body.

They got to his room, he opened the door and they both entered.

“Thank you for honoring my invitation and I hope that you’re staying a few more days.”

“I didn’t promise anything.”

“You don’t want to break the bride’s heart now. Do you?”

“I’m sure the love of your life will be there to mend your heart regardless.”

Beatrice rolled her eyes.

“Good night, baby.” She hugged him

“Good night.” He returned the hug, kissing her on the cheek. Beatrice returned the loving gesture.

She took her gift from the table where she placed it earlier and exited the guest room.

Getting back to her room, Beatrice went straight to her closet and kept her gift in her safe after which she removed her jewelry, undressed, and then changed into her pajamas.

She was about to go into the bathroom for her skincare routine when she heard the sound of wheels screeching against the ground. Her windows were open so she was able to hear the sound of the car.

She made her way towards her window and saw that it was Katherine’s car.

Beatrice rolled her eyes, went to the other side of the bed, reached for her robe, and then made her way out of the room. She descended the stairs and went to wait at the back entrance.

“Fuck, Mom!!!! Do you want to send me to my early grave?” She voiced out, startled, and at the same time, being careful not to be too loud.

“At this point, you are the one who’s going to kill me before my time is up.”

Before Katherine knew what was happening, her mother reached for her hand and literally dragged her to the kitchen.

“What the hell, Mom? Let go of me.” She said, trying to let go of her hand but her mother wouldn’t bulge.

“What the hell, Katherine? What the actual hell?” Beatrice lost it the moment they got to the Kitchen and she released her hand.

“What has gotten into you? Why the hell are you yelling at me?”

“Is it because I abandoned you at the bridal shop?”

“Fine, I’m sorry. I had an emergency to attend to. So can I go now? I need my beauty sleep and I’m sure you need yours too.”

Katherine wasn’t one to give up when it came to arguing with her mother and neither was she one to apologize almost immediately. But She did all of that knowing She was avoiding a certain person and exchanging banters with her Mom would do no good to her.

“God knows I’m pissed about that but that’s not what I’m talking about. And No, you are not dismissed.”

“What do you want from me?”

“Holy shit, I feel like murdering you right now.”

Katherine frowned at her mother. She felt she should be the one saying that.

“When the hell were you going to tell me?”

“Tell you what?”

“Don’t you dare tease me, young woman,” Beatrice said with gritted teeth.

At this point, Kathie started to get nervous but showing her weakness to her mother was something she would never do. She wondered what had gotten her mother so cranked up. She didn’t even react this way when she abandoned her at the bridal shop.

“Just go straight to the point because I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.”

“How come the older version of Sammy and Sebby is what I see in Oliver??”

“OHHHHH!!!” Katherine voiced out before She could even stop herself. She had seen recent pictures of Oliver so she knew about the striking resemblance but with how messed up and unaware the whole situation was, her mother’s reaction about everything didn’t cross her mind or the fact that She needed to give her mother a heads up.

“OHHHHHH!!!! That’s the reasonable answer I deserve?”

“Please don’t make a big deal out of this, Mom. If you had paid more attention to me or If you had been more interested in my life, then you would have known before now.”

“Spare me that cock and bull story and stop trying to justify your nasty attitude. No matter how irresponsible I’ve been, I deserve to know everything. You tell Magda everything and you tell me nothing. What the hell?”

“I hate it so much when you try to pretend to be a good person, knowing deep down that you’re a very terrible person.” Katherine raised her voice not giving a damn if they were heard by a third party.

“Spare me that bullshit! You’ve done nothing but shut me out when I try to involve myself.”

“You fucking had sex with your stepbrother and I asked you about it, trying to talk about it with you like any reasonable mother would do. But you shut me out, telling me to forget about it, that you guys were careful and you made use of protection.”

“I went on a healing vacation for a year a few weeks after that. I told you to come with me, but you refused, saying you were tired of moving from one country to another. You told me to give you enough money and get you a well-furnished apartment that you would be fine; which I did, only to come back fourteen months later to you, Magda and three little humans.”

“I never judged you about all of it because you were an adult. I ignored the fact that I was pained that I never knew anything. I asked about their father and you told me you guys were no more and no matter how much I pushed, you never mentioned anything to me. What more did you want from me?”

“You made me look like a fool when I set my eyes on Ollie. Gosh, the resemblance was so much that at some point, I thought I was hallucinating. It all made sense now. Your reason for running away from the bridal shop. You came here to get rid of those kids.”

“Wait, If I hadn’t invited him over, what would have happened? Because I know for sure that you never intend to tell him about it. It all makes sense to me why you were all over the place when I told you that Oliver was going to attend my wedding.”

“You kept them a secret for seven good years! Girllll, how cruel can you be? I’m so disappointed in you right now. You’re well educated, You’ve got manners, and I’ve always admired you for having it all together but this is a NO for me.”

“You know what? I hope Oliver sues your ass for keeping his kids away from him when he eventually finds out.”

“Perfect!!!” Katherine clapped a little.

“You’ve made a perfect speech and I’m sure you’re so proud of yourself. Where the hell were you when I needed you most? You were abroad with your loser friends having the time of your life.”

“Before you traveled, I was ill and you wouldn’t even come to the hospital with me. Where the hell were you when I needed you most?”

“ I said I wanted to stay back home without you and you simply accepted without bothering to ask what was wrong. It would have been a different thing if I made the decision while being happy.

When you went on vacation, how many times did you call to check on your daughter that you left back home and you still have the guts to blame me for not carrying you along?”

“What would you even have done differently if I had told you that I was pregnant and that Oliver was the father? How many times did you visit after you found out I had three babies? Did you help in any way? Instead, you were busy looking for the next man to get married to.”

“I didn’t see you doing anything reasonable for me so I had nothing to lose not telling you about it.”

“Don’t think I’ll be moved by those fake tears in your eyes because you honestly deserve all the hurt that is coming to you,” Katherine said when she saw Beatrice starting to tear up.

“And I hope you didn’t say anything to him because it’s really none of your fucking business!!!”

Katherine was about to say something else when she mistakenly looked up towards the entrance of the kitchen and her gaze met with the last person in the world that she wanted to see.

She froze.
