Chapter 375 The Clever Son
Sebastian couldn't hear what the person on the other end was saying, but judging by
the expressions of the two men in black, his guess was correct.
He slightly curled his lips and watched the two men leave with the items.
Joyce, curiously asked, "What evidence did you leave them?"
Sebastian smiled and brushed her hair, "The less you know, the better."
"Sebastian."
Hearing this, Joyce felt something was wrong and immediately asked, "Is the person behind this very dangerous?"
"Yes," Sebastian confirmed.
Joyce's expression grew more tense, "You'd better not get hurt, or I'll never forgive you."
Hearing this, Sebastian smiled reassuringly.
He bent down and kissed Joyce on the forehead, "Don't worry, I have a wife and son. I will come back to see you all alive. You stay with Paxon, and I'll make dinner for you." Sebastian led Joyce into the living room and placed Paxon on the sofa.
He squatted beside Paxon, looking at him tenderly, "Paxon, does it still hurt?"
Paxon shook his head, "It doesn't hurt after taking the medicine. Dad, I want to eat the steak you make."
"Okay, I'll make it for you."
"Mom likes shrimp, can you make some for her, too?"
Seeing how considerate he was, Sebastian smiled and ruffled his hair, "Okay, be a good boy."
He handed a box to Paxon, "This is a watch I bought for you. It can make calls, take photos, and also GPS on it. With this, we can always know where you are, and you won't get lost again."
Paxon's eyes widened instantly when he saw the box, "I can finally use a watch to make calls like my classmates! Thank you, Dad."
With that, Paxon took the watch out of the box and started playing it.
Only Joyce and Paxon were left in the living room.
Holding her lost child in her arms again, Joyce felt like she was dreaming.
Her bright eyes were fixed on Paxon, unwilling to look away for even a second.
This face had appeared in her dreams countless times, always as her baby.
But she had simply thought it was her longing for her child, transferring those feelings to Paxon.
She had never doubted that Paxon was Alissa's child.
She also firmly believed that Sebastian wouldn't be so cruel to her.
Their child was clearly alive, yet Sebastian had told her he was dead.
And the whole family had agreed on this.
They were all her relatives, yet they had cruelly deceived her for her and Paxon's safety.
Joyce couldn't imagine if Sebastian had told her their child was still alive, would she have agreed to separate from him?
Would she have agreed to let their child be fostered by Alissa?
She thought she wouldn't have agreed.
And that was precisely why Sebastian had to deceive her.
Joyce stared at Paxon's innocent face and couldn't help but kiss him.
The joy of regaining what was lost was indescribable.
held Paxon tightly, unwilling to
go for even a moment.
Even during meals, she insisted on feeding him herself.
Paxon blinked his bright eyes, "Mom, I'm already two years old. I can eat by myself."
Joyce speared a piece of meat and brought it to his mouth, saying softly, "I want to feed you. I want to make up for the past two years."
Paxon was naturally very happy and opened his mouth, waiting for Joyce to feed him.
Throughout the meal, Joyce didn't eat much.
She was feeding Paxon throughout the meal.
She felt she owed him too much.noveldrama
She hadn't nursed him, didn't know when he first smiled or when he was able to speak.

The ages of 0-2 are the most important in a child's growth.
But she had missed it.
She only occasionally thought of Paxon and went to see him.
Thinking of this, Joyce was even more reluctant to let go of Paxon.
Seeing her like this, Sebastian felt a bit heartbroken.
"Joyce, we have plenty of time to spend with him in the future. Don't be like this, just
let things happen naturally."
"I just got my son back. Can't I be close to him for a couple of days?"
Joyce looked at him with a bit of anger, scaring Sebastian into silence.
He whispered in Paxon's ear, "Paxon, your mom is so fierce."
Paxon immediately hugged Joyce's neck and kissed her, "My mom is not fierce. You're
just jealous and don't want me to cling to her."
Sebastian was left speechless.
He smiled and ruffled Paxon's hair, "You figured it out. Since that's the case, let's divide the time. Before you fall asleep, your mom is yours. After you fall asleep, your mom is mine. How about that?"
Paxon pouted, "No way. My mom is mine alone. Don't think you can take her away while I'm asleep. I see everything."
Hearing this, Joyce and Sebastian were both shocked.
She asked nervously, "What did you see?"
"I saw you kissing Dad, and then you closed the door so I couldn't see. You think I
don't know what you're doing? I'm smart."
Joyce's eyes widened in shock.
What kind of smart kid was Paxon?
How did he know everything?
Sebastian laughed and kissed Paxon's belly, "You little rascal, spying on me kissing my wife."
Paxon giggled as it tickled, "Dad, don't forget, she's my mom, not your wife."

Joyce was even more surprised. He even knows that?
The two of them exchanged a glance.
Sebastian asked incredulously, "Why isn't she my wife?"
"Because you two got divorced. After the divorce, you're just my dad, not her husband.
My mom can marry a handsome uncle."
"Who told you that?"
"Brad in our class. His parents got divorced. His dad married a pretty aunt, and his mom called a handsome uncle her husband. If you don't behave, my mom can find a handsome uncle to be my dad."
Hearing this, Sebastian laughed proudly.
"Joyce, have you noticed that Paxon's logical ability is incredibly strong?"
Joyce smiled with satisfaction, "When I was pregnant with him, although I didn't go to court, I was always handling cases online. That must be the best prenatal education."
"So, if you had been going to court, would he be able to recite the law now?"
Joyce laughed, "Don't exaggerate."
Faced with such a smart Paxon, the two of them were thrilled.
After Paxon fell asleep, they lay on either side of the bed, staring at him.
Sebastian whispered, "Joyce."
Joyce raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"Have you noticed that Paxon's eyes and nose look like yours, but his mouth and face
shape look like mine?"
Joyce looked carefully at Paxon.
It was also why she had never doubted Paxon's parentage.
Because she and Alissa looked very similar, especially their eyes and nose.
So, she had always simply thought that Paxon looked like Alissa.
Seeing that Joyce had no intention of sleeping, Sebastian crawled over to her side from the other side of the bed.
He hugged her tightly, kissed the back of her neck, and whispered, "Joyce, when all this
is over, let's have a daughter. I heard daughters tend to look more like their dads."
What do you think?
