Chapter 305 Meet Him by Chance
Not allowing Cordelia to inquire further, Milo hung up the phone on the pretext that he had something to
deal with.
Cordelia put down her phone, rested her chin on one hand, and looked out the window, carefully
thinking about what Milo meant.
Finally, she came to the conclusion that he didn't let her go back to Beilve City.
Perhaps Milo was protecting her.
Now that Beilve City was not peaceful, Milo didn't want her to be involved in trouble.
Therefore, Cordelia listened to Milo, stayed in Grant City with peace of mind, and treated Jayden
responsibly.
Since she moved out of Eason's apartment, they hadn't seen each other again. But Eason would still
call her to discuss business and would ask about her recent situation discreetly.
Cordelia was not opposed to that. She just wanted not to be entangled by men and could live freely. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
"Okay. Bye."
Eason hung up the phone and kept looking out the window intently, thinking about something.
Imogen was playing on her phone on the sofa, glancing at Eason from time to time and then secretly
winking at Adam.
Finally, Adam cleared his throat, breaking the silence in the living room.
"Eason, Imogen, and I haven't seen Cordelia for several days. What she has been up to?"
Eason came to his senses and said, "She is quiet by nature, and she just broke up, so she wants to be
alone."
"Is everything between you two okay?" Imogen asked cautiously.
"Yes." Eason turned around calmly, facing away from them.
After all, he couldn't remain at ease after telling a lie.
When Imogen returned to the room, Adam came to Eason and asked, "Eason, have you already
spoken to Cordelia about your feelings?"
"Yes, I confessed my love to her, but she refused," Eason still said calmly.
The most uncomfortable days had passed. Now, he could only comfort himself with the reason that he
didn't keep his first love to himself.
At least, he expressed it.
"How did you put it?" Adam asked curiously, "Did you just tell her that you like her?"
"No."
Then, he told Adam what had happened that night.
Adam was shocked. He didn't expect that Eason would finally choose such a time to confess.
And Adam didn't want to call it a confession.
He really couldn't imagine that Eason, who was so bold in the business world, could be so reserved
when it came to relationships.
"Eason, let's see if I got this right. You seem to have confessed your love to Cordelia, but you still left
yourself a way out, and you have not shown how determined you are to be with her at all!" Adam
carefully helped Eason analyze it.
Eason shook his head.
"The fundamental problem is that Cordelia has no feelings for me. Otherwise, she wouldn't have
rejected me so firmly." Eason had everything clear in his mind.
Adam sighed and said, "Yeah! Cordelia seems to be close to us, but she is never willing to take
advantage of us. Every time she asks us for help, she will give us equal or more rewards. She seems
easygoing. But actually, she's so inaccessible."
Eason nodded and said nothing.
He was very jealous of Elijah because he was the only one who could make Cordelia open her mind.
But he failed Cordelia!
"Damn it!" Eason cursed inwardly.
Early this morning, Cordelia arrived at Jayden's home on time as usual.
After Cordelia's treatment, Jayden looked much younger, and his body gradually improved with some
vigor.
Therefore, Cordelia now called him "Mr. Gudwin" more often than "the older Mr. Gudwin".
Today, however, Jayden had a guest.
When Cordelia walked into the living room and saw that person, she was slightly taken aback.
It was Elijah!
