You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 118 I’m Married

Having gotten this off her chest, Leo figured that Freya would find it hard to refuse his request to take care of Zane Stone in the future. Leo had already planned everything in his mind. The distribution of the Stone family’s wealth had been decided in his will, and there was no way for Yolanda to contest it.

Yolanda, however, didn’t expect Leo to be so indifferent and ruthless, threatening her with the inheritance for the sake of Freya.

“I’ve been with you for almost twenty years. Do you have no trust in me at all? I’ve said it, I didn’t…”

“Just tell me, will you turn yourself in or not?” Leo interrupted, not in the mood for her excuses.

Yolanda stood, trembling all over, and although they were not deeply in love during their time together, the sudden coldness and ruthlessness from Leo caught her by surprise.

“I’ve given birth to your son!” she shouted.

Facing her loss of control and rage, Leo remained calm. “I haven’t denied that.”

“Then why are you treating me like this?” Yolanda couldn’t believe that Leo’s coldness was for the sake of Freya.

Indeed, the reality was right in front of her.

“So, you still love your ex-wife and your daughter. Both Zane and I are superfluous. Since that’s the case, I’ll take Zane with me!” She was still hoping that Leo would consider their years together and ask her and Zane to stay.

However, Leo didn’t stop her, for which her heart turned even colder. After so many years together, even though they weren’t a couple, they were like a married couple. Yet, Leo treated her with such indifference and ruthlessness. Yolanda’s heart also turned ruthless. When she left, she cast a meaningful glance at Leo.

“Dad…” Freya spoke, and Leo’s attitude towards Yolanda exceeded her expectations.

“Don’t worry, I’ll handle this matter for you!” Leo said.

With Leo’s attitude, Freya couldn’t say anything more.

“In that case, I’ll leave first.” Said Freya, and she turned around.

Leo called her, “Your mom… Can I see her?”

“I told my mom about you, and she doesn’t want to see you.” Freya replied without looking back.

She left the hospital, standing on the steps, and called Luna. Luckily, Luna was available, and they agreed to meet at a tea house.

Coincidentally, when Freya arrived, she encountered Orion at the entrance. During this period, he had been drinking excessively, appearing less vibrant than before.

“Freya, are you here for tea too?” he asked.

Thinking about her meeting with Luna, Freya felt a bit uneasy, “I… sort of.”

“Then let’s go together, I am too,” Orion said, his expression lacking energy.

Freya felt sorry for him. She wanted to tell him that Luna’s departure wasn’t due to a change of heart but she was still an outsider.

“Are you here for tea alone?” Freya asked, finding it strange as Orion wasn’t a tea enthusiast. She and Luna chose this place for its quietness.

“Blind date,” Orion said, pulling Freya inside, “Can you do me a favor? I’m not sure how to refuse.”

Freya pushed him away, “You want to use me as a shield? That’s not okay.”

“Why?” Orion thought it was a simple matter. If the girl saw him with another woman, the blind date would naturally be canceled. It would save him from the hassle.

“I have other things to do…” Freya began, taking out her phone to call Luna to change the meeting place. However, before she dialed, Luna arrived and, without noticing Orion, exclaimed, “Freya…”

Freya stiffly turned, realizing she was a step too late.

“What’s wrong? Why do you look a bit pale?” Luna asked.

Freya glanced to the side and said, “I caught a cold.”

“Did you take medicine?” Luna showed concern.

Freya remained silent.

Luna found her expression strange today, “What’s going on with you…”Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“Luna.”

As Orion suddenly turned around, Luna froze at this moment. She was surprised, astonished and there was a moment of joy at seeing him. But soon she regained her composure, her expression controlled and her tone devoid of warmth, “Why are you with Freya?”

Orion fixedly stared at her. He noticed there was no caring or greetings from her. Instead, there were accusations.

Freya hurriedly explained, “We ran into each other at the entrance. I was just about to call you, and you arrived.”

Seeing the phone in Freya Stone’s hand matching her story, Luna believed her.

“Let’s go somewhere else,” Luna suggested.

Freya agreed, walking over to join Luna. However, Orion tightly pursed his lips. He took big strides, grabbed Luna’s wrist, and pulled her inside. Passing by Freya, he said, “I need to talk to her. Don’t interfere.”

“Let go of me. I have nothing to say to you. I’m married.” Luna protested.

Orion hugged her and kissed her, silencing her words.

Freya stood aside, thinking that they should have a conversation. She silently turned and left. Originally planning to take a cab back home, she changed her mind and decided to find Elijah, explaining the situation. Thinking that Elijah might have cooled down by now and be willing to listen.

In the car, she told the driver to Headence Group.

At Headence Group, she met Xander.

“Mr Silverton isn’t here, went to the old mansion.” Xander said.

Freya asked, “Is there something at the old mansion?”

Xander answered, “I’m not sure, but Deck personally came to find Mr Silverton. I think it’s something important.”

Understanding, Freya nodded. Since she couldn’t find Elijah, she had to go back first.

The old mansion.

Elijah looked impatient.

Jack Silverton continued playing chess, motioning for someone to come over but not saying a word.

“Grandpa, if you have something to say, just say it,” Elijah interrupted the old man immersed in the chess game.

Jack Silverton seemed to recall why he called him, smiling brightly, “Look at my forgetfulness, called you here, got absorbed in the chess game.”

He had Deck pour two cups of tea. After a few sips, he slowly said, “Actually, there’s nothing specific in calling you. Just that I have a friend coming over for dinner today. It’s just me at home, and it seemed impolite. I asked you to come and greet them on my behalf.”

Elijah frowned, “For such things, calling your son would be more appropriate.”

He was visibly displeased.

Jack’s face turned slightly pale. He had two sons; Elijah’s father was his elder son, who was no longer alive. By saying this, Elijah was clearly referring to his second son. And he was well aware of what his second son had done. Though Jack was the elder, he lacked confidence in front of Elijah.

After all, he had entrusted the entire Silverton family to Elijah, not only because he had the ability to make it better but also as a form of reparation.

“Your uncle is soft-hearted and incapable of big things,” Jack said, shifting all responsibility onto his second son’s wife.

In the future, when he was gone, Elijah wouldn’t hesitate to deal with his uncle, considering their family ties. If he wanted to vent his anger, he could go to his uncle’s wife, Arwen Silverton.

“Sir, the guests have arrived.” Deck approached.

Jack said, “Quickly, bring them in!”

Deck went to usher the guests in.

“Old man, long time no see.”

The newcomer was about the same age as Jack, but he appeared more robust.

“You’ve been living abroad for many years, and our chances of meeting are indeed rare,” Jack greeted warmly.

Elijah sat in his chair without moving, lifting his eyelids slightly. When he saw the woman beside the elder, his brow unconsciously furrowed.
