You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 126 Whose Child Is It?

As they spoke, she noticed Freya holding a tiny baby in her arms. She walked over quickly and asked, “Where did this little baby come from?”

Without waiting for Freya to respond, she guessed, “Is it Miss Ann’s?”

Luna looked at Freya, her lips curling slightly with a hint of softness. “I wish, but I’m not that fortunate.”

Now Linda was puzzled, “Then whose is it?”

“Mine,” Freya said.

Linda widened her eyes, “Madam… What do you mean? Whose child is this?”

After a short while, Linda asked again, “Is the baby Mr Silverton’s?”

“No.” Freya shook her head.

“What?!” Linda was not calm anymore. “Not Mr Silverton’s? Whose child is it? Did you have a child with another man?”

Freya did not deny it, “Yes.”

“Freya,” a low, angry voice came from behind her.

Freya turned around to see Jack Silverton leaning on a cane, standing on the steps at the doorway. He seemed to have heard Linda’s words and his face was now grim. He spoke sternly, “Come with me.”

After saying that, he walked in and headed towards Elijah’s study. Deck glanced at Freya, his eyes cold as if he thought Freya was ungrateful. Previously, Jack had a high regard for Freya and had great expectations for her. Never did he think Freya could be so disgraceful as to have another man’s child.

Freya handed the baby to Luna and whispered, “Go back to your room.”

Luna understood and carefully took Kai into the room.

Linda looked worriedly at Freya, “Madam…”

Freya had to face it; Jack knowing about it was inevitable. She took a deep breath and went into the study, with Deck closing the door behind her.

“Come here,” Jack commanded.

Freya walked to the desk.

“Did you really cheat on Elijah?” Jack asked.

Although he already knew about this, seeing it now made him angrier. After all, Freya was arranged for Elijah, and this was the result. How could he face his eldest son and Elijah?

Freya remained silent, which was equivalent to admitting it.

Jack slammed the table angrily with a loud bang. Freya trembled in fear. This was the first time she had seen Jack so furious. He used to be kind to her before. Now, seeing him like this, Freya knew it was her own fault.

“I’m sorry…”

“Sorry? What’s the use!” Jack was breathing heavily with anger.

Deck came over to pat his back and calm him down, saying, “Sir, you already knew about this. Why get so angry and harm yourself again?”

Despite knowing the matter beforehand, Jack was infuriated at the time. Now seeing Freya holding a living child, it was not just an embarrassment to Elijah but also a betrayal to him. He had trusted Freya so much, even helping her mother with treatment. In the end, this was how she repaid him.

“You are far from being like your grandfather!” Jack still remembered when her grandfather had saved him. Otherwise, he would not be so polite now.

“Now, you are no longer suitable to stay by Elijah’s side,” Jack said.

Freya knew it too. But now, her feelings for Elijah were no longer just a matter of necessity; they had developed into something more.

“Grandfather…”

“Don’t call me grandfather,” Jack interrupted her. “I agreed to this marriage from the beginning, and now I will end it!”

Freya felt like something was grabbing her chest, making it hard to breathe.

“You won’t object, right?” Jack saw her unpleasant expression. “Do you want a bastard to call Elijah ‘Dad’? Do you think it’s possible? Can Elijah accept it? Can I accept it?”

Freya indeed didn’t consider it thoroughly. She had ignored a lot of external factors, thinking only about herself and Elijah. She neglected the potential harm to the child growing up in such a complicated family environment.

“I will leave,” she said, looking up.

Jack was satisfied with her attitude. “You are reasonable. I won’t make it difficult for you. I arranged the marriage certificate for you and Elijah, and I can arrange the divorce as well.”

“I’ll follow your arrangement.” Freya lowered her head. “You helped my mother, and I let you down. Please let me do one thing for you.”C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

“Don’t talk about it. The situation is already bad, and saying these things has no meaning. I don’t want to see that child in the Silverton family, and you have to do me a favor.”

Jack’s tone became less polite. He felt that Freya was at fault, so asking for her help was reasonable.

“You say,” Freya thought of Jack saving her mother and was willing to help him with one thing.

This way, she wouldn’t feel guilty.

“There’s a woman named Elara Montague around Elijah. I want her to replace you by his side. But now Elijah doesn’t want to divorce you. I hope you can take the initiative to make him disgusted with you.”

“Could you change another one?” she asked.

Even if she had to leave, she didn’t want to do it this way.

“It’s possible,” Jack agreed readily. “You can matchmake Elijah and Elara.”

Freya frowned; this was worse than the first one. How could she make the man she liked be with another woman?

“What? Can’t do it?” Jack said coldly, feeling that Freya was finding excuses.

“I think you should be very clear about Elijah’s temper. Do you think I have the ability to order Elijah around? I can only say I’ll try my best. If it doesn’t work, I hope you won’t blame me.” Freya knew she couldn’t keep evading. She had to repay Jack Silverton’s favor.

From now on, Jack wouldn’t use it against her.

Jack pondered for a moment, “Elijah’s temper is indeed not something others can control. Just do your best.”

“Also, Deck, inform others not to let this matter reach Elijah’s ears today,” Jack instructed.

Deck responded and left.

Jack looked at Freya, “I also don’t want you to tell Elijah about our conversation.”

“I see,” Freya responded.

Satisfied, Jack Silverton left.

Freya felt weak, leaning on the armrest as she walked down step by step. Luna, worried about Freya, immediately came over when Jack Silverton left and supported Freya. “Are you okay?”

Freya shook her head, “No.”

She tried her best to make herself look good, “Is Kai crying or not?”
