You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 216 Deserved Punishment

Xander showed a small white bottle, a folded pocket knife, and a lighter. Although they were not large objects, they could still cause some harm when used on a person.

Arwen tried to stay calm. “This is a police station.”

Xander chuckled. “Of course, we know this is a police station. We wouldn’t dare to do anything reckless. It’s just that the guard in charge, I’m quite familiar with him, and he’s willing to give us a little convenience.”

Xander’s words were subtle, but Arwen understood. He was capable of doing anything to her.

Her face instantly turned pale.

Xander removed his tie and stuffed it into Arwen’s mouth.

Elijah stood up, picked up the folded knife from the table, and pressed the switch, causing the sharp blade to spring out.

“Let me handle this,” Xander stepped forward.

Elijah remained silent and approached Arwen. Although the knife was small, the blade was extremely sharp. He placed the blade against Arwen’s face. With just a little force, the knife could cut through her skin. Arwen could only make muffled sounds. Her pupils trembled, and her body stiffened. The feeling of being at someone’s mercy was more terrifying than death. At least with death, one would lose consciousness in an instant. But this mental torture made life worse than death.

“At my parents’ funeral, it was you who pushed me into the water,” Elijah spoke, and the tip of the knife had slid down from her face to her neck.

Arwen dared not move. Her body was tense and trembling. With a slight exertion of force, the knife cut through Arwen’s skin. But there was not much blood flowing as Elijah avoided hitting any major blood vessels. Moreover, this area was quite painful. He was able to be so accurate in his actions because Freya had many medical books, and he happened to see them when Freya was reading. The most vulnerable and painful area of the human body was precisely where he was aiming, and it also had fewer blood vessels.

The neck is a vulnerable part of the body, with many major arteries, but there’s a specific spot where you can avoid all the blood vessels. At the same time, the nerves are highly sensitive, making it the area that can transmit pain most directly.

Arwen’s forehead was covered in sweat, and her face turned pale. Her pupils contracted. The pain was close to death, yet her mind remained clear.

Xander stood by, watching nervously, afraid that Elijah might be too heavy-handed and accidentally slit Arwen’s throat. He stepped forward, “Mr Silverton, let me handle this. Torturing people is my specialty.”

Elijah looked at him expressionlessly. Xander continued, “This woman is so wicked. She’s not worth your personal involvement.”

But before he could finish his sentence, Elijah plunged the knife into the hollow of Arwen’s shoulder. He withdrew the knife and glanced at Xander. “Don’t disappoint me.”

Arwen let out a mournful cry, her features twisted with pain. Unconsciously, Xander shivered and took a sharp breath. Despite feeling disgusted and thinking she deserved it, he still put on a kind facade and said, “Oh, you poor thing. Let me apply some medicine for you.”

He picked up the small white bottle. Arwen, of course, knew he wouldn’t be so kind as to apply medicine. It was definitely something meant to torment her. She struggled with all her strength, but her body was tightly restrained and she couldn’t move. The feeling of being at someone’s mercy was agonizing and terrifying. Her trembling pupils were filled with fear.

While unscrewing the bottle cap, Xander explained to her, “This is concentrated sulfuric acid. I’ll pour it onto your wound to help it heal.”

“Ugh… ugh…”

Arwen wanted to scream in horror, but with her mouth gagged, all she could do was make muffled sounds.

Xander showed no sympathy because Arwen didn’t deserve any. She had poisoned Elijah’s parents in her quest to gain control over the Silverton family, and she even plotted to kill Elijah, who had just lost his parents. The extent of her maliciousness was indescribable. Now, whatever suffering she endured, she deserved it.

“Endure it, I’ll be done soon,” he whispered gently. Xander deliberately placed the bottle in front of her, but instead of quickly pouring the liquid inside onto her wound, he let it drip slowly, in small amounts.

Arwen’s eyes widened, bloodshot veins forming. As Xander continued to pour more, a burning smell filled the air.

“Ah…” Arwen’s mouth twitched in agony. After a few minutes of unbearable pain, she passed out.

Xander splashed her with water from the tea on the table to wake her up, then continued. He tortured Arwen repeatedly, pushing her to the brink of death. Finally, Xander stopped and put away his tools.

He said, “No one inside will care about her.”

The implication was that her injuries would go unnoticed and unattended. Elijah remained expressionless, unable to ease the pain in his heart no matter how much torture Arwen endured.

The gruesome death of his parents was the most painful memory of his life. It was more agonizing than being pushed into the water, nearly drowning, and facing the fear of death.

As he left the interrogation room, Elijah saw his grandfather. There was no expression on his face. His eyes were devoid of warmth.

“Shall we talk?” Jack said.

Elijah neither agreed nor refused, silently giving his consent. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Jack and Deck exchanged a glance, both relieved.

Was there still a chance to salvage the situation regarding the company?

Jack held onto hope. He held Deck’s hand, trying to catch up with Elijah’s steps as quickly as possible. Once they were outside, Jack spoke up, saying, “I can help you deal with Arwen.”

He was selling Elijah a favor, letting him know that he could assist in dealing with Arwen. Elijah understood his intentions and spoke in a cold tone, “If this was before, I might have accepted your offer. But now, she is entangled in legal troubles and trapped. How can you help me?”

Jack was at a loss for words. In truth, he had always protected Colton’s family. He didn’t know the mistakes they had made. He just couldn’t bear losing another son and wanted Elijah to let go of his hatred.

But…

“She deserves to die. Colton has also been punished, and he may spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. But Thorne knows nothing, didn’t participate. Can you…”

“No.” Elijah replied directly. His tone was firm, his attitude clear. Elijah didn’t directly confront Jack, this was already his final mercy towards the Silverton family.

At that moment, Xander finished handling things inside and came out. Elijah got into the car without a word, and Xander started the car. Jack had many things he wanted to say to Elijah and even wanted to play the emotional card, after all, he had raised Elijah. But before he could say anything, Elijah had already made his stance clear. That left Jack unable to say anything, overwhelmed by his own emotions. In a moment of panic, his anger overwhelmed him, and Jack collapsed.

“Sir, Mr Silverton fainted.” Deck held onto Jack.

“Master Elijah, the master fainted.” Deck called out to Elijah.

Xander, about to step on the accelerator, stopped and turned to look at Elijah. “Mr Silverton.”

Elijah stared straight ahead, his dark pupils flickering briefly before returning to calm. “Let’s go.”

Xander didn’t say anything more, immediately stepping on the gas and leaving the scene.

Back at their residence, Elijah entered the study. Xander didn’t dare to follow. It was apparent that Elijah’s emotions were not in a good place. Sure enough, sounds of things being thrown could be heard from the study.
