You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 52 A Bite on His Neck

Elijah winced in pain, his brows furrowing, but he didn’t push her away. The woman’s entire body was now pressed against him. The fragile and boneless figure seemed capable of easily arousing his desire, making Elijah feel like a pervert.

Facing a sick woman, he found himself having inappropriate thoughts. He struggled to suppress the restlessness within him, maintaining an appearance of calm and composure. However, his body was secretly savoring the sensations she brought him.

Soon, Freya’s grip on him loosened.

Elijah also felt the force behind her bite diminish. Freya’s hand slowly slipped from his collar, and she slumped down. Elijah, quick to react, circled her waist, holding her against him. “Freya…”

His voice carried a hint of panic.

Freya didn’t respond. She had passed out. Elijah lifted her up, carried her, and walked briskly outside. Meanwhile, he instructed the driver to prepare the car.

Orion suggested, “You can take my car. I’ll start it now.”

With that, he ran outside to start the car parked in the front yard. Linda also joined to help open the car door. Elijah carried Freya into the car, and once the door closed, Orion immediately drove away, straight to the hospital.

The atmosphere in the car during this process was extremely heavy.

Orion broke the silence, “She probably fainted due to low blood sugar from not eating for a long time. It shouldn’t be a big deal…”Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

As he spoke, he glanced at the rear-view mirror.

The distinct bite mark on Elijah’s neck was glaring. No matter how you looked at it, it gave off a sense of ambiguity. Orion cleared his throat and averted his gaze.

Elijah felt uneasy, his face cold, urging, “Faster!”

Orion pressed down on the accelerator. The car sped up to seventy or eighty kilometers per hour even within the city.

In no time, they arrived at the hospital.

Elijah carried Freya out of the car. Orion ran ahead to arrange for the doctor to examine Freya. Being a doctor at this hospital had its conveniences. After the examination, it was confirmed that Freya had fainted due to a lack of nutrition for an extended period. They administered glucose and some nutrient-infused water.

Freya lay on the hospital bed with an IV drip. She was still unconscious. Orion stood aside, unable to resist asking, “Do you know now?”

In Orion’s perception, Elijah must be aware of Freya’s pregnancy. Why else would he be so furious?

Elijah slowly raised his eyelids, staring at him. “You knew she wanted to escape?”

Orion hesitated.

Freya wanted to escape?

He didn’t know about that.

“So you locked her up, because she wanted to run away?” Orion frowned.

“Otherwise?” Elijah responded.

Orion quickly forced a smile. He glanced at Freya lying on the bed, thinking, was escaping really the solution? It might be better to confess everything to Elijah. But no, Orion soon realized that confessing to Elijah might lead to more torture for her. He worried about her future.

At this moment, Orion’s phone suddenly rang. He answered the call, and it was from his family, asking him to come back. After hanging up, he asked, “Do you need me to arrange for a nurse?”

“No,” Elijah replied, indicating that he would stay.

After a brief hesitation, Orion said, “Then I’ll leave first?”

Elijah nodded faintly.

Orion exited the room and gently closed the door behind him. He sighed deeply, realizing that Elijah’s attitude towards Freya was indeed different today. It seemed he finally understood why Elijah refused to divorce Freya. However, Freya was carrying another man’s child! Elijah was definitely not the kind of man who could be a stepfather.

Orion could only pray that Freya would find a way to survive.

In the room, the clock ticked away, and the darkness outside deepened. The dim light in the room cast faint shadows. Freya’s IV had finished dripping, and she was now in a state of drowsiness.

Elijah sat on the sofa near the window. His suit jacket was loosely draped over him as he leaned back. The shadows concealed his face, making it impossible to discern his expression.

Close to midnight, Freya slowly woke up. The room was dimly lit, and she quickly adjusted to it. Although still weak, she looked much better after receiving the nutrients. She uncovered herself from the blanket and got out of bed. Walking to the table, she poured a full glass of water and drank it in one go.

Freya had drunk too much water. She burped. Her stomach was already a bit bloated, but her mouth still craved more. Perhaps it was because of extreme thirst.

She picked up the water jug again. Pouring a full glass, she only managed to drink half of it this time. She couldn’t force more down. Turning around to return to the bed, she noticed someone on the sofa. Moving closer, she realized it was Elijah. His eyes were cold and distant.

Clasping her hands tightly into fists at her side, she struggled to suppress the urge to pounce on him and strangle him!

“Are you very angry?” Elijah slowly raised his eyelids. He hadn’t slept the entire time, and even with his eyes closed, he could feel Freya’s anger.

Before Freya could reply, he chuckled softly, “You said you wanted to drag me to hell, but it seems you want to take advantage of me.”

While saying this, he adjusted his collar and lightly touched the marks on his neck left by her bite.

Freya sneered and said, “I would rather take advantage of a beast than you.”

She now harbored nothing but hatred for Elijah. If her child suffered because of this, she would never let Elijah off the hook!

Elijah’s expression darkened gradually, cold and piercing. He suddenly stood up, casting a shadow over Freya like a giant, fierce beast.

Freya instinctively took two steps back, hands protecting her abdomen. Forcibly maintaining her composure, she glared at him. “What do you want?”

Elijah gritted his teeth. This woman seemed to be deliberately provoking him at every turn.

In the end, he managed to restrain himself.

“So, your lover is nothing more than a beast. Your taste seems to be a bit heavy.” He raised an eyebrow, his lips forming a sly and chilling smile. Bending down to her ear, he whispered, “What can you do? You hate me but can’t defeat me. You can only let me toy with you.”

Freya trembled with anger.

Thinking of her child in her belly, she made a great effort to remain calm and not let her emotions fluctuate too much.

“You despicable, shameless scoundrel!”

A deep, low laughter escaped Elijah’s throat. He leaned closer to Freya’s ear, “Thank you for the compliment.”

The warmth of his breath fell on her neck, making her feel tingling sensations. Freya quickly regained her composure. She stepped aside, trying to create some distance, but in the process, she accidentally twisted her foot.

“Ah…”
