You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 93 Resemblance

Orion Russo couldn’t shake off his unease, but Elijah’s lack of further questioning held him back, visibly displaying his discontent, a cloud of dejection surrounding him.

Elijah sensed that Orion Russo’s presence was hindering Freya Stone’s recovery. He declared, “Come with me.”

Reluctantly, Orion Russo followed suit.

Elijah furrowed his brow and handed his phone to Orion Russo. “Look at yourself; you seem utterly lost.”

Without much contemplation, Orion Russo retorted, “You’re the determined one. Just because Freya ran off, there’s no need to search for her everywhere. Plenty of women on the streets, many like you. Why act like you can’t live without her?”

Before Orion could finish his complaints, he felt a chilling presence, and his words abruptly stopped. Elijah had intended to inform him that the communication records on his phone could be restored, even if deleted. However, Orion Russo seemed oblivious to his good intentions and chose to expose his vulnerability.

Elijah put away his phone, uttered a cold remark, and dismissed him, “You’re not a gynecologist, and you’re useless here. Get lost.”

With that, Elijah turned to head back inside.

Orion realized he had stirred him up and hastily explained, “My bad, I was just anxious. Don’t be mad at me. But I want to ask you something. Where did you find Freya Stone?”

Ignoring him, Elijah opened the door in haste. In his urgency, Orion grabbed his clothes. Elijah’s face darkened, and he coldly said, “Let go!”

Reluctantly, Orion Russo released his grip and tried to put on a conciliatory smile. “Please, don’t hold a grudge against me, let’s not argue. I just want to ask you, where did you find Freya?”

He knew there weren’t many people Freya could turn to for help. The place Freya was hiding might be the same place Luna Ann was hiding, considering their close relationship in the past.

Elijah closed the door and walked toward the window at the end of the corridor, with Orion Russo following closely.

“You’ve known Freya Stone for a while. Tell me about her,” Elijah faced the window, hand in his pocket. His figure exuded elegance, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a graceful silhouette. Even the shadow on the ground was remarkably pleasing.

Orion thought Freya and Elijah would make a splendid pair if they clicked. A perfect fusion of beauty and talent. After a moment of contemplation, he asked, “What aspect of her do you want to know?”

“All of it.”

Orion Russo organized his words, “She excelled academically, outstanding throughout her school years. Post-graduation, her work has been exceptional. The director of Grace Hospital admires her a lot. In her personal life, she’s pure…” He paused.

“Freya used to be a good girl. During her school days, she never had a boyfriend. Many boys liked her; she received numerous love letters but rejected them all outright. However…”

He hesitated, deciding to reveal the truth to spare Elijah constant heartache. “Things are different now. She had a man, even got pregnant. Can you accept a girl like that? Why not let her go?”

Elijah’s back remained turned. No one could decipher his expression. Only the silhouette of a magnificent figure, his tone devoid of emotion, “She had twins?”

Orion Russo nodded, “Yes, but she lost one. She tried her best to save the other. By the timeline, she should have given birth, right? Oh, speaking of that, where’s her child?” Orion Russo inquired.

Elijah’s body trembled slightly. His straight back bent a little as he leaned against the glass window with one hand.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?” Orion approached to check on him.

Elijah waved him off, signaling him not to come closer. He was just heartbroken over losing his own child. The woman he used to consider dirty, the woman he used to humiliate, had become the woman etched into his heart. Throughout his life, he hadn’t done anything he regretted. But in the matter of Freya Stone, he regretted. The cost was too high and unbearable for him.

“Her child has gone. Don’t bring up anything about the child in front of her in the future, to avoid reopening old wounds,” Elijah’s voice was deliberately low, concealing a faint, husky tremor.

Orion wasn’t particularly surprised.

He sighed faintly, “One of the twins was lost, and the other was already challenging to keep. Although she fought hard to save it, the risk of infection was significant. Even the best obstetrician couldn’t guarantee no damage to the uterus during a miscarriage. It’s normal not to have saved it. It’s for the best; I had advised her not to keep it. After all, she didn’t even know who the child’s father was, yet she insisted on giving birth and raising it on her own. I don’t know what she was thinking.”

Elijah felt a pang in his heart. Even in the face of his disdain, she still wanted to keep the child. It spoke volumes about her determination and courage.

“By the way, since I’ve spilled everything, can you tell me where you found Freya?” Orion Russo couldn’t forget his original goal.

Elijah stayed silent for a moment. After composing himself, he handed Orion his phone, “Recover the call log. You’ll find the number Freya just dialed.”

Orion was thrilled, his eyes gleaming. He quickly manipulated the settings and soon recovered the call log. When he found the number and was about to dial, he hesitated. His breathing became uneven.

Taking a deep breath, he dialed the number.

On the other end, Luna Ann and Freya Stone were deep in conversation when they heard Orion Russo’s voice. Luna Ann’s expression registered extreme confusion, lingering in a daze long after the call ended.

The baby on the bed suddenly cried. She snapped out of her trance and hastily picked up the baby. Elowen Noir prepared the milk powder, saying, “He might be hungry.”

“I’ll feed him,” Luna reached for the bottle. She dropped a drop of milk on her hand, felt the temperature, and then fed it to the baby.

“Have you decided on a name for the baby?” Luna asked.

“Just a nickname. We call him Kai.”

Luna commented, “Freya is excellent in medicine, but naming isn’t her forte. But for a nickname, it doesn’t matter. You can choose a good formal name later.”

Elowen laughed, her gaze tenderly fixed on the little infant cradled in Luna’s arms. Though still tiny with a wrinkled face that hadn’t fully unfolded, Elowen found the baby charming. “Does this child take after Freya?”

“At this age, how can you tell who they resemble?” Luna lowered her head to get a closer look at the baby.

Elowen replied, “Regardless of the resemblance, he’ll carry Freya’s last name anyway.”

Luna didn’t argue.

“Freya went through a lot of hardship to give birth. The little boy should carry her last name anyway.”

Luna’s phone suddenly rang.

Elowen held the baby and said, “Answer the call.”

Luna took the phone, and on the screen was the number Freya had used.

“It must be Freya.” She muttered. She pressed the answer button, put the phone to her ear, and smiled, saying, “Freya…”
