A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Adrian was completely stunned.

Theo pursed as his expression darkened. Suddenly, he recalled that day at the hospital when he had told Aunt Jemima that he had someone he had liked for a long time and was pursuing her.

Could it be that Sierra overheard that conversation and misunderstood-thinking he was talking about another woman? That would explain why she had been so defensive earlier.

Janice and Felicia were just returning from lunch when they spotted him standing there.

"Benson? What are you doing here?" Janice asked, frowning as she walked over. "Waiting for someone," he replied flatly, barely sparing her a glance.

Her eyes flicked to the bouquet of red roses in his hand. The arrangement was elegant, carefully wrapped-clearly meant for someone special.

A mocking smile tugged at her lips. "You're waiting for Sierra, aren't you? Didn't she dump you?"

Benson furrowed, his voice turning colder. "Who told you we broke up?"

"Sierra did," Janice shot back, looking him straight in the eye.

His frown deepened as his tone dropped. "We just had a misunderstanding. We never broke up."

Janice's expression instantly darkened. Fury flashed across her face as she glared at him.

"I don't care what's going on between you two, but don't drag my mom and this school into your game. If you want to be with her so badly, take her and leave! I don't want to see either of you here."

With that, she spun on her heel and stormed off.

Felicia, however, saw an opportunity and stepped closer to Benson, her voice laced with feigned concern.

"Sierra barely got back to school, and she's already throwing herself at Cayden," she commented, observing him. "Benson, the girl you like isn't exactly loyal."

"I dare you to say it again," he warned, grabbing Felicia's wrist with enough force to make her wince.

"I'm not making it up!" She quickly defended herself. "She's been following Cayden around since she got back asking him to coach her on the piano, spending the whole morning alone with him in the practice room.

"Then, she invited him to lunch. They were sitting together, laughing like nothing

else in the world mattered. Everyone saw it."

Benson's expression grew even darker. "Where is she?" he demanded.

"A man took her," Felicia said, feigning innocence. "I think he's some kind of relative."

Relative?

Benson looked stormy... but wait a minute. He had run into Adrian, who informed him that Theo had come to see Jemima instead. So, why was Theo suddenly with Sierra?

Without another word, he shoved Felicia's hand away and walked off.

She stumbled slightly, nearly falling from the force, but watching him leave in a fury sent a thrill of satisfaction.

If Sierra dared to flirt with Cayden, she would ensure that Sierra would not have it easy.

If she pissed off Benson, there was no way she would make it into the top three in the Marisol Cup.

Sierra had gone to the restroom to fix her hair, which had been a mess from earlier. However, as soon as she stepped out, she ran right into the last person she wanted to see Benson.

Her expression shifted instantly, and without a second thought, she turned on her heel, trying to head in the opposite direction.

Yet, Benson was faster. He strode forward and grabbed her wrist before she could escape. "Sierra, why are you hiding from me?"

His voice was tense, laced with frustration as he stared at her.

Sierra pulled her hand free, stepping back to create some distance. "I'm not hiding. I just don't want to see you."

Her words were short and straightforward, completely emotionless, which made Benson's face dark.

"Then, who do you want to see?" he asked, stepping closer to her. His voice was full of fury, each word sharp and deliberate. "Is it Cayden? Or Theo?"
