A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 127 Scolding Her

Janice's face twisted in disbelief as she turned toward her mother.

"Mom!" she snapped, frustrated. "Who doesn't know that Sierra was just Benson's simp? Whatever he told her to do, she did. In a few days, she'll probably be running back to him again. Do you really want to let her fool you one more time?"

"Janice," Jemima's expression grew serious. "How can you speak like that? Apologize to Sierra!"

"She's the one who did it, so why can't I say anything? She's just Benson's simp! A simp!"

Jemima's face flushed red with anger. She lifted her hand and was about to slap Janice. Sierra quickly stepped in to stop her, but Janice shoved her aside.

"I don't need your fake kindness!"

Sierra crashed into the piano, leaving a bump on her head that made her wince in pain.

Seeing this, Janice's expression shifted immediately, a flicker of panic flashing through her eyes.

"Are you okay, Sierra?"

Jemima quickly helped her up, her face filled with worry.

Sierra shook her head, gritting her teeth to hold back the pain. "I'm fine, Ms. Anderson."

Seeing the red mark on Sierra's forehead, Jemima turned to her daughter in exasperation. "Janice, you've gone too far! How could you push someone like that?!"

Janice clenched her jaw, biting her lip before snapping back, "She came at me first! She deserved it!"

"You-" Jemima's chest tightened with rage. "How did you become so spoiled and unreasonable? You make a mistake and still won't admit it!"

"Yes! In your eyes, Sierra is perfect! No matter how big of a mistake she makes, you'll forgive her, but no

matter what I do, you'll never like et

me! Fine, if that's how it is, just forget I'm your daughter! Let Sierra beyour daughter, and that way, you'll be happy!"

Janice shouted angrily. Then, she turned and stormed out, slamming the piano room door with force.

Jemima, shaking with anger, was left standing there. Sierra quickly rushed to help her sit down in a chair.

"That child..." Jemima spoke with her head lowered, a mix of anger and helplessness in her voice.

Sierra swiftly handed her a glass of water, her voice filled with guilt as she apologized, "I'm sorry, Ms. Anderson. If it hadn't been for me, you and Janice wouldn't be fighting."

"It's not your fault; Janice is the one with the issues," Jemima commented, taking a moment to calm down and slowly sitting up with a look of sadness.

"I'm also at fault. I divorced Janice's dad long ago, and she chose to stay with me. I have always felt guilty about that, so I allowed her to do whatever she wanted.

"I wanted her to learn the piano, but she never had the focus for it. I saw she didn't like it, so I didn't force her, letting her pursue her interests.

"But she's always been competitive.

When she saw how much I cared about you, she felt left out and, after hearing me praise you, jealousy started to build. That led to

"As time went on, those feelings only grew stronger. I've tried explaining things to her, but she won't listen. Sigh."

Jemima felt helpless.

On one side was her beloved daughter, and on the other, her respected student. It was like having both palms full-they were equally important to her.

However, of course, things weren't that simple Janice harbored a lot of resentment toward Sierra, and over the years, had given her a hard time. Yet, Sierra had never confronted her, enduring so much in silence

With a soft sigh, Jemima replied, "Sierra, Janice's has always been difficult, and I

know she's made things hard for you."
