Chapter 128 Get Married
Gently speaking, Sierra comforted Jemima, "Ms. Anderson, I'm fine. Honestly, Janice wasn't wrong. I was blinded by love before."
Jemima pressed her lips together before speaking seriously. "Sierra, I've never been against you being in a relationship. If you still want to be with Benson, I won't be upset. As long as you're truly committed to learning piano again, I'll give you another chance."
Sierra shook her head, her voice soft but firm. "There's no future for me and Benson. We see the world too differently-we were never meant to last."
Jemima studied her for a moment before nodding slightly.
She could tell Sierra had let go this time.
She had always known that Sierra was stubborn-once she made up her mind, it was hard to change it. It seemed that this time, Benson had broken her heart.
She gently patted Sierra's shoulder and said softly, "Don't be discouraged. You'll meet someone better in the future."
Sierra smiled, mentioning, "Right now, I just want to focus on playing the piano well and doing my best in the Marisol Cup competition."
Jemima, recalling Theo, looked up at Sierra and asked, "Sierra, did you see Theo today?"
Sierra paused for a moment, her eyes flickering, and nodded. "Yes, I saw him."
"Did he say anything to you?"
Thinking back to the ambiguous moment in the car, Sierra felt her earlobes warm up. Keeping calm, she answered, "He only said a few words."
Jemima frowned slightly.
Theo really was good at keeping his composure.
"Ms. Anderson, is something wrong?" Sierra raised an eyebrow, asking in confusion.
"No, it's nothing. I was just asking," Jemima quickly changed the topic. "Let me take you to the school nurse."
Jemima glanced at Sierra's swollen forehead, her voice filled with concern. "Your forehead is swollen. That Janice... Let me take you to the hospital."
Sierra touched her forehead and smiled, assuring her, "It's fine. I can go by myself. Just putting some ice on it will make it better. Janice didn't mean it, so don't be upset, Ms. Anderson." noveldrama
Jemima let out a deep sigh, her expression turning serious. "She really needs to improve her temper. If she keeps acting this impulsive, she's going to land herself in real trouble one day."
Later that night at Gray Manor...
"Benson, you called us all here to your grandpa's place. What's going on?"
Liam and Janet walked into the Gray Manor, and she looked at her son, asking in confusion.
She usually hated coming to the Gray Manor because Edward didn't really like her. She felt he was biased and too strict, so she never wanted to come unless there was something important.
Benson sat on the couch, glancing at the dark sky outside. He didn't answer Janet's question. Instead, he looked at Edward, asking, "Where's Uncle Theo? Didn't you call him, Grandpa Edward?"
"Your Uncle Theo has a social event tonight, he's not coming tonight. If you have something to say, go ahead," Edward responded, taking a small sip of his drink and speaking calmly.
Benson straightened his posture, took a deep breath, and insisted, "Grandpa Edward, I've been with Sierra for three years. I think it's time we get married."
Janet's expression changed when she heard this. Before Edward could speak, she quickly responded, "Benson, didn't you say you're stiff
young and want to focus on your career for a few more years before getting married?"
She had never liked Sierra. Besides her looks, there was nothing else about her
that could help Benson with his career.
In addition to that, Benson also said not too long ago that he wasn't in a rush to settle down. Now, he changed his mind out of nowhere.
There was no doubt in Janet's mind-Sierra must have manipulated him into this. She was probably pressuring him into marriage!
What do you think?
