Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon)

Chapter 128

After Terry learned about Shirley's existence, he had been wanting to meet her. However, her true identity remained a mystery, carefully hidden by the International Crochet Union.

Barbara could hardly contain her excitement. "Are you absolutely certain that Ms. Smith, Shirley, and Edward's girlfriend, Janice, are all the same person?"

"I heard her admit it myself," Calvin replied. "She even showed me her certificate. Edward and Matilda have known for a while."

At that moment, Terry quickly grabbed his phone and sent Edward a message on WhatsApp.

Terry: "Edward, is your girlfriend really Shirley?"

Edward: "Yes."

Terry let out a long breath.

After a moment's thought, he typed again.

"Would you be open to having a meal together? Bring Ms. Smith along."noveldrama

Edward turned to Janice. "Do you want to go?"

He knew Terry wasn't the type to invite someone to dinner without a specific purpose. He was always busy with important matters.

Janice had already pieced it together. "Mr. Gallagher wants to talk to me about something, doesn't he?" "Most likely. Otherwise, he wouldn't have specifically asked you to come along."

Spotting a shopping mall outside, Edward signaled to the driver. "Pull in here."

With that, the driver turned into the underground parking lot.

As Janice stepped into the elevator behind Edward, she asked, "Are we here to shop?"

Edward replied casually, "I want to buy you some clothes."

Thinking about the house he had already set up for her, Janice remarked, "You've already bought me so many clothes."

"But I haven't seen you wear any of them."

To Edward, that only suggested one thing—she didn't like them. If that was true, he figured it would be better for her to choose something herself this time. Ignoring her reluctance, he took her hand and led her straight to the women's fashion floor.

Edward selected a few outfits and handed them to her. "Go try these on."

Matilda, who had been quietly following them, finally put her phone down after finishing some work.

As Janice entered the fitting room, Matilda turned to Edward and asked, "Edward, do you really like Janice?"

She had always believed there were no secrets between them, but the swift progression of the two's relationship made her feel a bit uneasy.

Edward sat down to wait as the store attendants brought over drinks. They then quietly stepped aside while whispering to each other.

"Mr. Moore seems to really care for Ms. Smith," one of them observed. "He picked out all the outfits for her himself. Most wealthy men would just let their partner choose.

"Exactly. They look great together, and Ms. Smith doesn't seem the least bit arrogant—nothing like what the rumors say."

"Well, you never truly know someone. Appearances can be deceiving."

"She's coming out!"

At that moment, Janice stepped out of the fitting room while draped in a coat. The store attendants

immediately rushed forward, their voices laced with admiration

"Miss, your figure is simply breathtaking. This coat complements you perfectly, accentuating your elegance and grace."

Without answering Matilda's question, Edward stood up and walked toward Janice.

In the mirror, he looked handsome in

a dark gray coat over a black suit

His broad shoulders and long legs gave him the air of a steady, unshakable figure.

Meanwhile, Janice was also trying on a long dark gray coat. Standing together, they almost looked like they were dressed in matching outfits.

The store attendants smiled brightly. "These coats seem like the perfect couple's set!"

Edward's gaze dropped slightly at the remark. Without hesitation, he signaled to the attendants. "Wrap this one up."

"Of course, Mr. Moore!"

The store attendants couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy.

Edward had purchased a coat worth tens of thousands without a second thought. Having a wealthy boyfriend was truly a dream come true.

Edward turned to Janice and said, "Go try on those shoes next."

"Edward, you do know couples aren't supposed to give each other shoes, right? They say it leads to separation," Matilda teased.

To her surprise, Edward instantly reached out and grasped Janice's wrist just as she was about to turn away.

Janice looked back at him. "What?"
