Chapter 112
Child's Play
"Harper, are you planning to ignore me until I leave, or are you still in shock from Benjamin announcing your marriage as a surprise?"
Isaac expressed his dissatisfaction coolly.
"I wasn't ignoring you. I've just been swamped these past few days. I was just finishing up moving. Are you planning to leave soon?" Harper replied.
"Moving? Where to?"
"I moved out to live on my own."
Harper didn't hide the truth from Isaac.
Isaac was taken aback. "Why? Did you have a fight with Benjamin?"
"It's not really a fight. We just needed some time to cool off."
"Harper, you're lying. If all you needed was some space, couldn't you have found that while staying with Benjamin? Did you really need to move out to get it?"
Isaac's piercing words left Harper with no excuses.
With a calm tone, Harper said, "I want a divorce."
"Because of Lauren?"
"Not exactly. It just seems like a divorce would be better for both of us."
"Harper, marriage isn't a child's play. Think carefully before making any decisions, and try to make them when you're calm, okay?"
Isaac urged her to calm down before making any rash decisions. But Harper was already calm, calmer than she had ever been. Her decision wasn't born out of spite or stubbornness. It was the culmination of deep thought and careful consideration. Given that Lauren had been a constant obstacle in their already fragile marriage, a perfect outcome was never a possibility. What would happen next was yet another difficult test.
Benjamin didn't find out that Harper had moved out until he returned to Pineview Villa that evening. Draven said, "Harper left this morning with a suitcase, mentioning she needed some time away. Did you guys fight?"
Benjamin kept a straight face, showing no clear emotion, and simply responded, "I see."
Then, he went upstairs.
In the bedroom, Harper's belongings were still there. She hadn't taken everything. Even in the wardrobe, she had only taken a few sets of

She had moved out without saying a word. She pointed out that he hadn't consulted her before deciding to have children. And now, she hadn't consulted him before deciding to move out. She had only mentioned it last night, and without waiting for his agreement, she went ahead and did it.
She was quick.
Even after she had moved out, the air still carried her lingering scent.
Benjamin stood somberly in the middle of the bedroom, and his face darkened and sullen. After a long silence, he turned and walked to the study.
"If she wanted to move out, then so be it," Benjamin thought.
From that day on, neither of them initiated contact.
News of Harper moving out reached the Martin Manor almost immediately, but Paul showed no reaction.
Lily, frustrated and anxious, stamped her foot. "Paul, what should we do?"
"Let them handle it themselves," Paul said calmly, "Interfering too much would only do more harm."From NôvelDrama.Org.
Lily's voice trembled with concern as she spoke. "But Harper has already moved out. They're living separately now, and the longer this goes on, the more distant they'll become. How are we supposed to fix this then?"
