I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 114

Why Are You Here?

Larry said bluntly, "Harper, I just saw you coming out of the gynecology department."

Harper's heart skipped a beat. She remained composed, glanced at her phone for the time, and then sent a message to Julie while responding, "Really? I wasn't feeling well, so I thought I'd get it checked." "Is everything okay?"

"It's nothing, just a minor issue."

"That's good. If you're not feeling well, why not have Benjamin come pick you up?"

Larry was struggling to find topics, silently praying for Benjamin to arrive soon to avoid annoying Harper.

Harper, with a calm expression, replied, "No need. I've moved out of Pineview Villa. We both need some time to cool off, so we shouldn't meet for now."

"You moved out?" Larry exclaimed as if uncovering a massive secret. Controlling his surprise in this public setting, he quickly asked, "Did Benjamin upset you? If he did something wrong, tell me. I'll straighten him out."

Harper chuckled.

It was clear she didn't quite believe him.

Larry hurriedly continued, "Although Benjamin can be domineering, we're still buddies. It's not just me. There's Harry and Felix too, the three of us can talk some sense into him. After all, you two have just made your relationship public. Isn't this supposed to be a sweet time?"

Larry rambled on, and Harper quietly listened.

When he finally fell silent, Harper spoke. "Thank you for your concern, but the situation between Benjamin and me can't be summed up in a few words. It's probably best for both of us to take a step back and cool off."

Larry nodded.

Harper looked at him and asked, "Larry, is there anything else you need?"

"Nothing."NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

"All right, then I'll head off?"

"Mmm..." Larry glanced at his wristwatch, then called out. "Harper."

"Yes?"

"It's nothing, I just wanted to tell you that Benjamin still cares about you. Otherwise, he wouldn't have revealed this year-long hidden relationship. Don't you thin

Harper was briefly taken aback, then casually replied, "Perhaps."

She certainly wouldn't air Benjamin's faults in front of his friends. Thei relationship wasn't about right or wrong. It was simply a marriage at the wrong time, leading to everything being mismatched.

Harper glanced at Larry before saying, "I have plans with a friend. Let's catch up another day?"

Larry didn't respond, but he couldn't find any more topics to discuss. It wouldn't be right to keep holding onto someone who wanted to leave. Harper added, "I'll head off now. Goodbye!"

As Harper prepared to leave, Larry was unsure of what to do. At that moment, a deep, cold voice came from behind. "Where are you going?" Benjamin approached them, his face stern, his icy gaze fixed on Harper since he entered.

Harper instinctively looked at Larry, finally understanding.

Larry quickly explained, "Harper, sorry, I couldn't figure out why were at the hospital, so I had

inform Benjamin. You two sheet

talk things out."

With that, Larry turned and left.

Benjamin's gaze bore into her, his eyes revealing a complex emotion. "Harper, why are you at the hospital?"
