Chapter 120
Late at Night
It had already passed midnight. A quiet stillness enveloped the surroundings.
Larry and the driver helped Benjamin out of the car, supporting him as they slowly made their way into the elevator.
Benjamin, feeling dizzy, hoarsely muttered, "This isn't Pineview Villa."
Larry chuckled, "Are you planning to go back for a lonely night?"
Benjamin frowned and replied, "Your business?"
"Fine, it's not my business. Should I take you back?" Larry pressed the elevator button. He had already checked the floor and apartment number on the way. It was Room 101 on the 18th floor.
Half a minute later, the elevator doors opened, and Larry assisted Benjamin to the door. He pressed the doorbell and glanced at Benjamin, saying, "The fate between the two of you depends on whether she opens the door."
The next second, the door swung open.
Drowsy Harper stared at the two men before her.
Larry spoke first. "Harper, sorry to disturb you at this late hour. Benjamin had a bit too much to drink and kept insisting on seeing you. So, I had no choice but to bring him here."
Benjamin leaned on him, silent and unresponsive.
Harper furrowed her brow. "We're living separately now. Didn't he tell you?"
Perhaps hearing her voice, Benjamin subconsciously opened his eyes and stared at her.
Larry, with a casual tone, said, "Harper, it's late, and I'm tired. Let him stay here for the night. He can go back on his own tomorrow, okay?"
Without waiting for Harper's response, he entered the room.
Harper instinctively moved aside, protecting her belly, worried about her unborn child.
Larry quickly placed Benjamin on the sofa, where he lay motionless.NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
Larry said, "Harper, I'll leave you to it. I won't disturb your rest."
"You..." 'Harper's words were cut short as Larry left, closing the door behind him.
Harper looked down at the man lying on the sofa, her voice calm. "Benjamin, are you asleep?"
He replied in a low, hoarse voice, "Hmm?"
Harper approached, crouching beside him, and whispered, "Should I call Curtis to pick you up?"
Although they were a married couple, they were on the brink of divorce.
Once a decision had been made, it was best not to waver.
Harper feared that his presence would unsettle her and cause her resolve to falter.

Despite the late hour, Curtis answered promptly.
"Hey Curtis, it's Harper. Can you come over to my apartment? Benjamin had a bit too much to drink, you take him back to..."

"What are you doing?" Benjamin retorted.
He was half lying on the sofa, squinting his eyes, with a drunken expression and a strong smell of alcohol around him.
