Chapter 126
Skipped Your Medication
Harper hurriedly woke Benjamin up and gave him antipyretic medicine.
She asked, "Shall I take you to the hospital?"
"No."
"Your repeated fevers can cause infection. Go to the hospital and see if you can get better faster by getting an IV drip."
"Are you unwilling to take care of me? Are you anxious to drive me out of here?"
Benjamin frowned. His voice was extremely hoarse, and his tone sounded a little aggrieved. Unsure whether it was an illusion or not, Harper always felt the tears welling up in his deep eyes.
She felt a bit taken aback. Despite her reluctance to let him reside there, she had never considered not taking care of him.
However, Harper didn't answer his questions. With her eyes on him, she said calmly, "If you don't go to the hospital, ask a doctor to come and give you a drip. Otherwise, persistent fever will cause lung inflammation."
"Call Yinson over."
With that said, he closed his eyes again.
Harper walked out of the bedroom and called Yinson. He arrived in about half an hour.
Lying on the bed, Benjamin was listless. Yinson gave him a simple examination and then said, "Have more rest and drink more water."
"Is he all right? Will he get better soon?" Harper asked with concern.
Yinson nodded and looked at Benjamin. "Get up and eat something. Otherwise, an IV drip will be necessary if you have no immunity."
Benjamin didn't move, but glanced at Yinson and said angrily, "Yinson, do you think I am fine? This is the second time I have had a fever since last night."
Benjamin was in a bad mood.
Harper said, "Yinson, please don't be annoyed. The illness upsets Benjamin."
"It doesn't matter." Yinson, having witnessed Benjamin's growth, naturally understood the meaning behind his expression. Turning to Harper, he instructed, "Get him a glass of water for his medication." "Okay." Harper cast a glance at Benjamin before going out to pour some water.
After she disappeared from the bedroom, Yinson asked, "Benjamin, what are your plans?"
"What?"
"Your grandfather mentioned his desire to pair Harper off with Harry. I haven't discussed this with Harry yet, but you know how compliant he's been since childhood. If I bring it up, he'll think about it." With a straight face, Benjamin said, "Harper and I have not divorced yet. If you are not concerned about Harry getting involved in others' marriages, feel free to tell him."
Yinson smiled, "Benjamin, you don't plan to divorce now. So you deliberately skipped your medication to gain Harper's care and attention."This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"I don't understand what you're talking about."
"Okay, you don't understand. I'm too talkative. But, whatever your thoughts may be, you must consider your grandfather's health. He is aged and isn't as robust as before. Although there is no big problem now, you should be careful."
After Yinson finished speaking, Harper came in with a water glass.
Yinson looked at Harper and said, "Help Benjamin take his medicine. It's getting late, so I'll go back. You only have to get him to take his medicine on time."
"I'll see you off."
Harper quickly put down the water glass.
Yinson waved his hand. "No need. Look after Benjamin."
After he left, the apartment fell back into silence.
Benjamin leaned against the bed, his handsome face devoid of expression or emotion, his eyes deep and inscrutable.
Harper lowered her eyes, stared at him, and said, "Take your medicine."
After a while, Benjamin reached out to take it. "I'm hungry."
"Well, I brought the takeout from the Silver. Do you want to eat it now? Should I bring it in, or do you go out to eat?" "I'll eat here."
"Okay."
Harper left the bedroom again.
