"You don't scare me Yesseca! I, Yuliana Fernandez, am innocent! Don't even think of threatening me again!"

Yuliana then turned around and walked away angrily.

When Yuliana was gone, Montez ran over.

Montez looked at Yesseca worriedly, "Yesseca, are you okay?"

Yesseca replied gently, "Yes, I'm fine."

Montez looked in the direction Yuliana had stomped off at and asked, "Did... Did my aunt say something mean to you?"

Yesseca could tell how nervous and worried Montez was from his voice.

She knew that he was aware of her strained relationship with Yuliana.

Yesseca consoled Montez and told him that everything was fine.

Even though Yesseca consoled him, Montez still felt uneasy.

He then asked, "Yesseca, does my auntie know why you are here today?"

Yesseca knew that she couldn't hide this from Montez and said, "Yes, she does. But it's okay. If she knows, she knows. She can't do anything about it anyway."

Montez bit down on his lip.

He fussed with the corner of his shirt and asked, "Yesseca, now that my aunt knows, is she going to get you in trouble?"

Yesseca was surprised.

She thought that Montez was uncomfortable because he was worried about getting in trouble, but as it turns out, he was worried about her.

Yesseca felt warm inside.

This little boy loved her with his heart and soul.

"No, that won't happen." Yesseca held Montez's hand and said, "I won't get into any trouble. You can rest assured with that. I don't live in Nashatand anymore, so they have

Yuliana returned to the Quartley Palace.

Although she was scared of Yesseca's threat, Yuliana couldn't just let things be.

She couldn't take on Yesseca by herself, but she could get Madam Quartley to take care of her!

The old woman had been slowly turning senile lately, which made things a lot easier for her.

When she found Madam Quartley, Yuliana told her everything that happened at the school.

Madam Quartley was appalled, "What?! Yesseca went to the school and pretended to be Montez's mother?!"

"That's not all madam! You had

asked me to stand in for Montez's mother today, but she went and took that from me! You should have seen how smug Yesseca was! She even threatened me! She told me not to tell anyone about this or she would come after me!"

Yuliana wiped her eyes as she said, "Oh poor me! I'm but a humble lady of the Quartley Palace. I'm simply Zorion's wife, nothing more! Why would she even need to threaten me for?!"

"Why did she even threaten me?! She must still be going after Tremaine! She probably did this to weasel her way back into Tremaine's good graces! Even though Tremaine has cut at ties with her! How could she treat me like this?!"

Yuliana said this in her most pitiful and aggrieved voice.

Noticing how quiet Madam Quartley was, Yuliana quickly added, "Madam Quartley, do you know why Yesseca came back to Nashaland?! She knows she's failed with Tremaine, so she's going after

Montez!" "See what a scheming woman she is?! She couldn't fool an adult, so now she's preying on sweet innocent Montez! A young boy like him is sure to fall for her tricks!"

The longer Yuliana went on, the angrier she sounded. Madam Quartley however, remained calm aside from her initial shock.

This was because way too many shocking things had taken place in the Quartley Palace recently, Madam Quartley had learned not to react strongly to disturbing news.
