My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2584

Tremaine smiled gently.

He said, "I don't need you to bake it for me. I just need your recipe."

The old man was shocked.

After collecting himself the old man asked, "Sir, you are the president of a country. Why would you need a recipe for bread?"

Tremaine looked at him with a rather gloomy expression.

He said, "It's for an old friend."

"Well, this old friend must be very important to you." The old man replied.

Why else would the president of a country throw his pride away like this?

"Yes." Tremaine added, "If you give me your recipe, I'll grant any request you have."

The old man smiled.

The wrinkles on the old man's face relaxed as he said, "Sir, there's hardly anything I could ask for at my age. But, your sincerity has touched me, and so I will give you my recipe." "I'm but a humble craftsman. You are the president of a country, yet are humble enough to be patient with this old man's antics. I cannot refuse such sincerity, good sir."

The old man gave Tremaine his recipe.

This was a recipe that he had developed after an entire lifetime of work and research.

"Sir, this recipe is very important to me. I would never have given this to anyone else so easily." The old man explained, "That's why I refused you repeatedly."

Tremaine said earnestly, "Thank you very much, sir."

A couple of days later.

During the weekend.

Montez asked Sheldon to take him on his usual trip to Agaphen City.

Sheldon agreed to do so.

Sheldon handed a piece of paper to Montez.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

The piece of paper had a recipe for bread on it.

Montez looked at it for a moment and asked, "Mr. Hawls, what's this for?"

Sheldon replied, "Wasn't Miss Cowell looking for a recipe that is tasty and light on calories? This is the recipe for it."

Montez smiled.

"Oh Mr. Hawls, I appreciate your offer, but I don't think it would be of any help to Yesseca. She's very talented at baking and even she couldn't figure it out. I don't think you could."

Sheldon laughed out loud.

He explained, "I didn't write that recipe. Your father sought out a retired master baker and got that recipe from him."

Sheldon was shocked at what he had just said.

"Darn it! Me and my stupid mouth!"

Montez was very surprised.

"Daddy, did this?"

He then looked at Sheldon suspiciously, "Mr. Hawls, how did my father find out?"

Since he had been found, it was best to come clean.

Sheldon bit the bullet and told him. "I told your father."

"Oh." Montez replied.

Sheldon was very eager to move on from this subject and said, "When you give that to Miss Cowell, make sure to leave out the fact that your father got it for her. Don't want her getting ideas."

Tremaine had expressly ordered this.

Yesseca must not know.

He had already made a huge blunder.

He had been so focused on not telling Yesseca, he didn't realize that he had to keep quiet about it with Montes as well.

Montez was still keeping quiet.

Sheldon looked at him and said, "Mr.

Montez, your father has expressly

ordered this. No one can ever tell

Miss Cowell that he did this for her."

"Oh," Montez replied.

They both didn't say anything throughout their journey.

They soon arrived at Agaphen City.

As they were driving up to Yesseca's bakery, Montez suddenly asked, "Mr. Hawls, does my father still have feelings for Yesseca?"

Sheldon sighed.

This wasn't a question anymore, more of an obvious fact.

Of course he still has feelings for Yesseca!

But he couldn't say that to Montez, so he simply said, "No, there's nothing going on between them. Your father just happened to hear about it and happened to know someone."
