Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3298

Trenton would take his driver's license exam during his next summer vacation. Now, whenever he went out, he would either take a taxi or get his family's driver to drop him off.

Camryn arranged for the driver to send Trenton to see Carrie. Once they left, Camryn arranged for someone to secretly follow her brother and find out exactly where Carrie was living. Camryn did not believe Carrie did not have a permanent residence. If she really were doing that badly, she would have come to make a fuss a long time ago.

Even if Camryn was not in Wiltspoon, with Carrie's temperament, she definitely would have gone to make a fuss at Wildridge Manor. There was no way she would stay quiet.

Half an hour later, Trenton arrived at the bustling street by Grand Wiltspoon Square. It was a popular place for a walk after dinner, which made the already busy street even livelier. The driver stopped in front of Starbucks.

As Trenton got out, he said to the driver, "I'll get myself home. You don't have to wait for me."

"Ms. Camryn asked me to pick you up. You can call me when you feel like going home. I'll be nearby and will be right over to pick you up." "No need. I still want to go shopping."

The driver did not insist when he saw Trenton really did not want him to follow. After Trenton entered Starbucks, the driver called Camryn to inform her before leaving.

Carrie was sitting in the corner, waiting for Trenton. She was dressed very warmly in the same clothes as before. Apart from her branded clothing, there were no branded handbags or jewelry. Even her high heels had been swapped out for white flats.

When she saw Trenton walk in, she stood up to wave and called out to him. Trenton hurried toward her.

"Hey, Carrie." Trenton appraised Carrie as he sat down and when he saw the pallor on her face, he asked in concern, "Are you alright, Carrie? The last time you said you had to go for some kind of surgery, did you do it? You don't look too well."

"You're still worried about me? I thought you wouldn't care even if I died.”

Trenton pursed his lips and said, "I always worry about you, Carrie. You're the one who always rebuffs me, scolds me, and asks me for money. You're young and abled.

"Can't you rely on yourself to earn money? Do you plan on being a freeloader your entire life? Carrie, Dad and Mom can't shelter us anymore. Wake up," Trenton said bitterly.

He took Camryn's side and did not give Carrie so much money because he hoped Carrie would stand on her own two feet instead of staying a mooch. Their parents could no longer watch over them and Carrie was no longer the Newman princess as she was in the past. If she continued as she was, she would only harm herself.noveldrama

Carrie said angrily, "It's all because you're heartless! You believed Camryn and took her side instead of helping me. You've given all of our parents' assets to Camryn, haven't you?

“Would I be living this miserably if you shared it with me equally? Look at me. I can't even wear a pair of high heels now. I didn't have enough money for the surgery and had to sell my handbags and jewelry to pay for it. Whatever was left was spent on the hospital stay and a nurse to take care of me."

Trenton argued, "I told you I would come back to take care of you and be by your side through it, but you wouldn't let me. Where did you have your surgery?"

Camryn said she checked all the hospitals in Wiltspoon and still could not find where Carrie was admitted. There was no way Camryn would lie to him, so Carrie had to be the one lying. However, Carrie was pale and appeared to have been ill.

"You're a man. How are you supposed to take care of me? I asked you to give me money, but you listened to that blind bitch and refused to, so all I could do was sell off my jewelry. You're probably still thinking I'm lying to you, aren't you? Just look at my face. Isn't it a little pale? That's because I haven't fully recovered from the surgery."
