Chapter 3301
"You should buy nutritious food with the money I gave you to maintain your health."
Trenton felt terrible for Carrie.
However, he could not give her too much money.
Carrie would spend them all indiscriminately. Moreover, she was not that bright and was easily influenced by two of their aunts.
Therefore, Trenton had to control her spending and provide her with only enough money. He would not give her an extra penny even if she scolded her.
Their parents had also told him not to give Carrie too much.
They knew her better than he did.
"I know. Do you think I don't know how to care for my own body?"
Carrie added, annoyed, "You should treat me to a good meal."
"Where do you want to eat?"
"Since you're in-laws with the Yorks, why don't you take me to Wiltspoon Hotel? Will it be on the house?"
Trenton said, "It'll probably be on the house if I tell Callum, but I don't want to do that. I can treat you to a meal without taking advantage of Callum.
"I'm not sure if there are seats if we head to Wiltspoon Hotel now. I guess it's better to find a nearby restaurant."
Trenton feared Carrie would make a scene at the York family's territory.
He knew she despised Camryn and Serenity.
Hence, he wanted to avoid taking her to Wiltspoon Hotel.
Carrie pouted and said, "Fine. By the way, why hasn't that blind girl gotten pregnant? Is she infertile?"
Trenton's expression darkened. "Camryn is no longer blind. Don't keep calling her that. She's perfectly healthy and just wants to spend more time with Callum. They aren't in a rush to have children."
It was true that Camryn was unable to get pregnant yet, and it was all his mother's fault.
Carrie snickered and said, "I guess she's indeed infertile. Mom said that..."
She left it at that.
Trenton changed the topic. "I'm going to visit Mom and Dad tomorrow. Do you want to come?"
Carrie replied begrudgingly, "Mom and Dad are clearly playing favorites. They gave all the inheritance to you and left nothing for me. They even told you to give me a meager monthly allowance, as if they were dismissing a beggar. I don't want to visit them. I'll only remember how I had been deceived for over twenty years if I see them."
She had always thought that their parents loved her the most.
She never had to spend the night outside and had a driver at her beck and call every day. Sometimes, her parents would even drive her around themselves.
On the other hand, Trenton was sent to a boarding school when he started first grade and lived in the dormitory.
Their parents did not love Camryn. Therefore, Carrie was the one enjoying their full attention.
However, when Mr. and Mrs. Newman got into trouble, it was Trenton who received all their assets.
Only then did Carrie realize that her parents' love for her was shallow. They had never viewed her as an heir. Even though Trenton had gone to the boarding school since he was young, he was their only son. They had decided to leave everything to their son.
Carrie was mad about it.noveldrama
She refused to visit her parents ever since she got out of prison.
Even if she went, she would be blaming them, and they would simply explain and nag at her.
Carrie had no patience to listen to what they had to say, so she decided not to visit them.
Besides, she had been in prison before and never wanted to return there again, even if it was for visitation.
Trenton said, "Mom and Dad are doing this for your own good. It isn't because they favor me over you. You'll be able to get what belongs to you after you've turned over a new leaf."
He would never have thought Carrie resented even their parents.
If they knew her resentment for them, they would probably die of anger.
What do you think?
