Serenity and Zachary York

Chapter 3318

Audrey called Patrick "Uncle True", so her sister Lisa followed suit. They were the only ones who called him that, and every time, he would respond with a smile. In Audrey's blurry memories, her parents and Uncle True were always very busy and her mother was not in good health, so she often delegated to Belinda.

Now that Audrey thought about it, it was likely Belinda's desire to seize power arose from Tiara's bad health and constant need for Belinda's help in managing the company and family matters. Belinda must have felt indignant that despite doing so much for them, everyone was still in favor of Tiara, so Belinda wanted to take Tiara's place, thinking that only by becoming the matriarch would everyone favor her completely.

When Audrey called Patrick "Uncle True", he responded with a tearful exclamation. Neither had a strong impression of the other anymore, but Audrey had taken very good care of herself and looked like both her parents. When Patrick looked at her, he felt like he could see Tiara and her husband.

With Silver's repeated confirmations as well as Dr. Carden and Suzy's affirmations, Patrick learned long ago that Mrs. Stone was indeed Tiara's eldest daughter, Audrey, while Lisa had passed away in a car accident more than ten years ago. Luckily, she left behind two daughters, and Audrey herself now had children and grandchildren too. Tiara's line would continue.

Patrick was so excited that he took Audrey's hand and opened his mouth to speak several times but could not get any words out. It was like his throat had been blocked, while tears kept streaming down his face. Perhaps due to overexcitement, old age, and also ill health, Patrick's world went black and he fainted.

"Uncle True!" Audrey supported Patrick's limp body, pale with shock as she yelled, "Clive, quick! Call 911!"

"There's no need to send him to the hospital. Old Pat's just too excited and had too many fluctuations in his emotions. He's the oldest of us all and can't take that kind of stress."

After Doc checked Patrick's condition, he signaled for Audrey and the rest to support Patrick to the sofa, laid him down, and just waited for a few moments for him to slowly come around.

Elisa brought over a glass of water. Audrey took the glass from Elisa and slowly fed it to Patrick. After a few sips of water, Patrick made to get up but Audrey hurriedly stopped him.

"Uncle True, you're not feeling well. You should stay lying down. Don't get up. Uncle True, I didn't think we'd be able to meet again. You have to take care of yourself. Let's all not get too excited, okay? Your health comes first," Audrey tearily but warmly advised Patrick.noveldrama

She understood how he was feeling and knew that Patrick had a lot to say to her, but it was their reunion after decades. Even if they had a thousand things to talk about, they could not say a single world right now. The current priority was to calm Patrick down before they could slowly get into it. He nodded slightly before tightly grasping Audrey's hand again.

Audrey patted the back of his hand as she said gently, "I won't leave, Uncle True. Don't worry."

"Old Pat, if you don't get a handle on yourself and we have a repeat of last year, even if I put all my life's learning into it, I won't be able to save you from the grim reaper," Doc commented.

Everyone called him the genius doctor, but he was not a god. He was just an ordinary mortal and did not have any divine power. If not for his and his disciple's excellent medical skills and the numerous precious medicinal herbs they planted, Patrick would definitely not have lived to this day. When they first saved Patrick back then, he had basically been at death's door.
