Last year, Patrick was at death's door again. He did his best to calm himself. He nodded at his friends before saying to Audrey, "Missy Drey, I'll do my best to stay alive until you guys have avenged Ms. Tiara and punished Ms. Belinda. I wouldn't be able to rest in peace otherwise. I'm useless. It's been so many years, but I still wasn't able to avenge Ms. Tiara or find you and your sister."

If he had managed to find news of Audrey and Lisa earlier, Lisa might not have died young. He had failed to protect Tiara and even her two daughters. He felt guilty toward Tiara. Having undergone special training before going to Tiara's side and doing many things for her, he had failed to carry out the last two most important duties. He was too ashamed to meet Tiara in the afterlife.

The camp where he was trained immediately arranged for a new assistant for Belinda when she succeeded the matriarchy after Tiara's death, who then took over thework he used before. Thework he built himself, however, did not betray him, but for the sake of protecting him when Belinda went after him, they all died, one by one.

Belinda had planned on eliminating them all. If she was willing to kill her sisters and was merciless toward her two nieces, how could she possibly leave them alive? Even if he ran, he would be pursued, but he would have a chance of surviving at least. If he did not run, death was certain.

Belinda also held a grudge against him for rejecting her when she confessed her feelings for him. He was Tiara's assistant and was sworn not to marry for the rest of his life unless he was marrying Tiara, but Tiara had someone she loved and had two daughters with.

When Tiara got married, he knew he would only be her assistant for the rest of his life, but he was content and happy enough to stay by her side and witness her happiness. If it had not been for that seemingly accidental car crash... everything would have been so wonderful.

"It's not your fault, Uncle True. That woman's just too vicious. She probably planned it all early on. My mom trusted her so much and she was even raised by my mom. My mom did her best by her, but she took her life instead."

As well as Tiara's husband and in-laws' lives. That car crash Belinda orchestrated orphaned Audrey and her sister. When they were transferred to the orphanage, they already knew how good and cruel the world could be at the same time.

At the orphanage, they were bullied. Lisa was too young then and needed protection, so despite still being a child herself, Audrey had to act like an adult, take care of her, and protect her, often getting into fights with the other children for her sister's sake.

She had been both happy and sad that Lisa had the chance to be adopted by a good family. She was happy because Lisa could have a stable life with the love and care of her adoptive parents. She was also sad because she had no other family left. Once they parted, who knew if they would ever meet again in their lifetime?noveldrama

If Audrey knew how much Lisa would suffer after her adoption, she would not have agreed to it. By the time she grew up and had the ability to, she searched for her sister everywhere for many years only to find her tombstone. At the time, she did not remember much about her childhood and only had vague memories of her own background. All she felt was that her only family member was now gone.
