Chapter 3334
"Nana, once we've had lunch and a bit of rest, we'll head back to pick Sonny up before heading over to my aunt's to eat."
Grandma May hummed in acknowledgment. "I'll get ready to go with you then. It's rare for those old fellows to come to Wiltspoon. I must play my part as the host. Then, I'll stay with you guys for a few days. What were you two talking about before I got back?"
She sped through the matters at hand. Serenity and the rest fell silent for a moment.
Then, Tania picked up the conversation. "Sonny's going to visit the Johnsons once his school lets out for the winter. Seren and Zack are both busy with work. I'm following Sonny to take care of him so they can work with peace of mind and finish up as soon as they can. Do you want to come with, Mother?"
"Of course I do. I miss my great-grand-goddaughter terribly. I'll go pick some jewelry from my stash later to bring with me and give it to her as part of her inheritance." Grandma May did not mean costume jewelry by that. She meant actual, real, precious stones.
Her immense adoration for Chloe had her self-declared the little girl as her great-grand-goddaughter-that and making up for her regret she had not had girls in the family for three generations following hers.
"Seren, Zack, you guys have to do your best. The psychic said it-you guys are meant to have a boy and a girl. Whether or not I'll be able to have a great-granddaughter of my own depends on you two." Grandma May dared not hope for her other grandsons and granddaughters-in-law. It was hard to break the York family's curse.
It would be a divine blessing if they managed to have even a single daughter in the next generation. How dare she expect God to give her a few all at once? Grandma May trusted that psychic very much because they were right that Zachary and Serenity were fated to be together, so she also trusted they would have both a boy and a girl.noveldrama
She felt very proud of herself whenever she saw how happy the young couple was. If it had not been for her little tricks, Zachary would still be single right now. After she got the biggest hurdle out of the way, the rest of her grandsons were much easier to deal with.
See? The results were starting to show. One by one, they had pursued their future wives according to her wishes. Callum was no longer single and already married in the eyes of the law. Kevin would be registering his marriage after Christmas, while Dylan... this one might suffer for a bit. Peter and Austin were both progressing steadily. At the thought that in a few more years she might have quite a few great-grandchildren, she was so happy she would even laugh in her sleep.
"Nana," Zachary called out sternly.
Grandma May immediately smiled sheepishly and changed the subject. She could not put pressure on Seren to give birth to a daughter because Zachary would get angry. Although he respected her the most, even she sometimes wanted to run when she saw Zachary's stern expression. She sighed internally. Sometimes, she also felt somewhat pressured to have taught her grandson too well.
