The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 178 Resetting the Password

Allison spotted Teddy but didn't bother to acknowledge him, which only made him more annoyed.

As the finals got closer, Yasmin was a bundle of nerves, while the rest of the team was buzzing with excitement.

Allison found Yasmin's anxiety kind of funny and shot a glance at Cameron, who gave her a smile from his seat.

"The final task will be drawn by lot. Team representatives, please come forward to draw your topics," the moderator announced.

Yasmin went up to draw the topic and handed it to the team, then quickly passed it to Allison.

Allison chuckled after reading it. "Piece of cake. Let's get to work!"

Cameron watched her closely.

When the timer started, everyone, including Yasmin, got busy. Even though she didn't like Allison, Yasmin followed her instructions, knowing that personal grudges had no place in the competition.

"Allison, there's an encryption program we can't crack!" a teammate called out. Perfect, the most critical part had appeared. Allison's lips curled into a sly smile. "An encryption? I have a decryption program. I'll send it to you," Allison said. She quickly inserted her own program into the computer and returned to her seat. Cameron, now at his computer, couldn't hide his excitement as he saw the decryption program begin its work.

Allison's programs were known for being super efficient and powerful.

Allison discreetly took out her phone and sent a message: [Felix, if you screw this up, I'll shave your head bald!]

Felix shuddered as he read the message. "Allison, you're ruthless!"

Despite his grumbling, Felix's fingers flew over his keyboard with excitement. He signaled to Sabrina. "Sabrina, it's go time!"

"Got it!" she replied.

Carl watched them, shaking his head in mild exasperation but kept his eyes on the

screen.

The decryption process was set for three minutes, a critical window where Felix and Sabrina would infiltrate the opposing server, using the decryption as a smokescreen to destroy the enemy's base.

Cameron's team, on the other hand, was relying on Allison's program to decrypt their nuclear code.

Both sides clashed in cyberspace, but Felix and Sabrina's speed gave them the edge. Within a minute, they had planted their program.

"Carl, it's all yours!" Felix shouted.

Carl, an expert in attacking financial systems, sprang into action. His skills were unmatched, even by Felix and Sabrina.

In the competition hall, Allison's phone buzzed with a notification. She glanced at the computer screen to see a bluebird icon appear.

"Decryption complete! Decryption complete!" her teammates cheered, ecstatic.

Cameron, on his phone, stepped aside to take a call.

Allison, meanwhile, rushed to the computer and began typing furiously.

"Allison, what are you doing? We just decrypted the code!" Yasmin tried to stop her but was pulled back by someone.

Teddy stood protectively behind Allison, making sure no one messed with her.

Allison's fingers flew over the keyboard, and in just thirty seconds, she reset the decrypted code.

Cameron's team, still celebrating, was hit with shock. "No way! This can't be happening!"

"Mr. Simmons, our server is under attack! The code's been reset!" a team member shouted.

Cameron stormed back into the hall, only to see Allison seated at the judges' table. "Let me introduce you all to the head of the competition's judging panel, Allison Bennett!" Teddy announced.

The hall erupted in gasps of surprise.

"But Dr. Carter, Ms. Bennett looks younger than you! And she's wearing a Willowbrook High School uniform. Isn't she a student?" someone questioned.

Yasmin glared at Allison, fists clenched in anger. "This has to be a lie! Allison, stop pretending. You're only eighteen. How can you be the head of the judging panel? You're making our school look bad!"

Others joined in, voicing their disbelief. "Yeah, if you're part of the panel, why are you competing? This is cheating!"

Allison stayed calm and smiled. "Actually, I'm an undercover judge. Although I'm part of Willowbrook's team, my classmates did all the work. I didn't set any of the tasks, so there's no cheating involved. However, through this process, I've identified some real talents."noveldrama

She handed a list to Teddy, who read out the names, including one from Willowbrook High School.

The students, thrilled, erupted in cheers.

"Jim, you got selected! This is amazing!"

"Luke, Cindy, you too!"

"Mike, you're on the list!"

"Zane, you did it! Even our school got someone in!"

Allison highlighted each student's strengths, and the five selected were admitted to the Academy of Sciences, a prestigious honor. Yasmin's accusations fell flat, making her look foolish.

Yasmin couldn't comprehend how Allison, who had been kicked out of her home at thirteen, could surpass her in every way. Her frustration was palpable, but there was nothing she could do.

Cameron knew he was defeated. As he turned to leave, he was intercepted by the police.

"Mr. Simmons, you're under arrest for endangering national security. Please come with us," an officer said, presenting the warrant.

Magnus, witnessing the scene, was stunned. National security? Cameron was so young, yet involved in something so serious?

"Mr. Callahan, thank you for your cooperation. Rest assured, this won't affect the school's activities," the officer assured Magnus.

Magnus nodded, relieved he had listened to Allison. If this had implicated the school, it would have been disastrous.

As Allison left the hall, Teddy followed closely. "Allison, you look exhausted. Let me take you home. Where do you live?"

Allison shook her head. "I need to stop by the hotel first. You handle things here, and we'll meet later."
