The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 538

Terrified, Carlos kept backing away and yelled at his men, "Let's get him! He can't take us all on by himself. No way one guy with a blade can handle 70 of us."

Everyone came to a standstill, holding their steel pipes tightly and staring at Matthew. One person stepped out from the group.

"He definitely wasn't putting on any defense. I'll focus entirely on him. With all of us around, there's no way I can't block his attack."

They felt a boost of confidence when they saw Rickey walk out. The latter used to be the best in military combat and had even gone up against ten opponents barehanded.

Carlos braced himself and quickly rallied everyone to attack together. "Stick with Rickey, everyone. Keep up and don't fall behind."

The moment Matthew saw Rickey, he immediately went on high alert.

Rickey walked at a strange pace. Every step he took splashed the rainwater up to the same level. He landed each step with an amazing amount of force, just like the last one.

Matthew realized he was dealing with a cultivator, so he sharpened his focus and kept his eyes glued to his every move.

Holding a steel pipe, Ricky inched closer and remarked, "You're quick with your blade, but speed alone won't cut it. You need some power behind it, but your strength is lacking."

Matthew stayed silent. He fixed his gaze on Rickey without blinking. As Rickey spoke, he picked up his pace, closing the gap between himself and Matthew.

With only two more steps to reach the striking distance, Rickey darted forward like a shadow, charging at Matthew. He swung his steel pipe at Matthew's head, swooshing through the air.

As the steel pipe came crashing down, Rickey didn't even need to look to know that this blow would leave Matthew bloodied and bruised. But... why didn't the steel pipe bounce back when it hit?

Sensing that something was off, Rickey raised his head and looked at Matthew. The latter was surprisingly unscathed. How could this happen?

Rickey then looked at his hand. Apparently, his hand and steel pipe were long gone. He had lost his forearm, and blood gushed out from the severed part.

With a splash, a hand holding a steel pipe dropped from the air, crashing into the water below and splattering water everywhere.

Rickey held his severed arm, fighting through the excruciating pain. "H-how can you be so fast?"

He never imagined there'd be

anyone in the world who could swing a blade that quickly. It was so fast that he didn't feel the pain before his hand was gone.

Matthew sneered. "I thought you were a big deal, but it turns out you're just a loser."

Rickey greeted his teeth in anger. "How dare you insult me? I'll—"

With a swish, a cold gleam flashed. Rickey felt like he was taking flight. In the pouring rain, he was getting farther and farther from the ground.

Looking down, he saw a headless body gushing blood. The body was missing a forearm and a hand.

It suddenly dawned on him that it was his body. Then, his eyes were wide open, showing nothing but fear and terror.

After a thud, the head hit the ground, rolling in the rain until it came to a stop at Carlos' feet.

Matthew sprang into action like a phantom, darting through the wind and rain.

The wind howled, and the rain came down

was arrows. Matthew's bladenoveldrama

was like a scythe in the field, cutting down his enemies as if they were mere weeds.

As one body fell after another, blood blended with rainwater and flowed into the drain.
