Chapter 545
Brad's expression went dark. He had a high status, so it had been a long time
since anyone ever spoke to him that way. But he understood where Matthew was coming from.
Allowing Horace to leave was pretty much the same as allowing a murderer to roam free. Yet, another issue had unraveled itself.
Brad pondered for a moment before he said, "I truly never expected this to happen-they move way too quickly.
"But I promise you that I won't allow Horace to step foot into Lambda City! I can also guarantee that the soldiers will never use their guns within the country! Your family will definitely be safe!"
Matthew could tell that Brad had only said that to give him peace of mind, but how could there be such a thing as definite and guaranteed safety?
Now that Horace had been rescued, he was sure to carry out his revenge in a frenzied manner. What would happen to his parents then? And what about Lorraine's safety?
Matthew was so mad that he exited the car and took a few steps forward. After having stood still for a while, he slowly turned around.
Matthew was bursting with a chilly sense of ruthlessness. There was a murderous and bloodthirsty intent that hung in the air around him, which contributed to the heavy tension felt in the atmosphere.
Matthew resembled a bloodthirsty slaughterer, and the gaze he directed at Brad could send shivers down one's spine.
The moment Brad locked his eyes with Matthew's, he felt as if he had been brought back to the battlefield several decades ago, where corpses piled up into mountains over the bloody fields.
Brad felt a tingle sent down his spine as he looked at Matthew's eyes. He hadn't seen a pair of eyes holding so much thirst for murder in a very long time.
Afterward, Brad took a deep breath and regained his composure before he explained, "I didn't think it would happen either."
Upon hearing that, Matthew said slowly, "Brad, you set Horace free, and he would definitely take his revenge.
"By then, if anyone threatens my family, I'll go on a massacre. I don't know how many people would die then, but you should stand by and get ready to clean up the corpses!"
His words were as biting as the crisp and icy breeze that blew across snowy plains, and it brought about an endless chill.
After he had finished speaking,
Matthew turned to leave. Brad then let out a horrified expression.
Matthew had been going on a killing
spree these few days... and he had killed quite a number of people.
As such, Brad couldn't imagine how many more were to die if Matthew was to go
on a massacre. He could only hope that Horace wouldn't return for revenge.
Matthew returned to the basement's first floor, and Sebastian walked up to him. "Mr. Grant..."
After calling out for Matthew, Sebastian didn't know what else to say. He was far too shocked by the events today-witnessing Matthew's murderous intentions, and the arrival of Horace, Brad, and Hugh. His brain was in turmoil.
Reak
Matthew glanced at Theo, who was lying on the bed, and went over to check on him. "His body is too and he has sustained a lot of injuries, But they're not life-threatening, so take him, and make sure he recovers properly."
home
When Sebastian heard that he could go home, he snapped out of his daze and said, "Our house got demolished.
"But even if it weren't destroyed, I dare not take my father home. I'm afraid that Red Wolves will come knocking on our door."noveldrama
Because Matthew had been so busy thinking about the matters regarding Horace,
he had forgotten about this. "Why don't I find a place for you?"
But Sebastian felt a little embarrassed and said, "You've helped me out a lot already. I feel bad for troubling you even more."
Matthew then smiled and said, "You don't have to treat me as an outsider. I'll drive you to Opulent Club-it's very safe there.
Since Sebastian couldn't come up with a better idea, he followed suit and helped
to lift Theo's bedboard out of the basement's first floor with Matthew.
After they put Theo into the car, they searched through the hospital and finally found a statue in Dallas' office.
It was the same statue-a childlike statue with a potbelly, stout arms and legs, and an exaggerated smile. Beneath the statue was a name list, and there were around 30 names on it.
Matthew took the namelist and started the car as they prepared to leave.
What do you think?
