You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 114 In Danger Again

Freya obediently followed. The more compliant she appeared, the less the dark, slender man paid attention to her.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Not far away, a muscular man lit a cigarette and urged, “Jude, hurry up, I’m still waiting.”

Jude was in a good mood and retorted, “You keep saying I’m fast. For the sake of face, I need a bit more time!”

The muscular man mercilessly taunted, “I’d like to see how long you can endure.”

Jude was confident. While unbuckling his belt, he said, “Hurry up, undress!”

Freya complied with a sluggish pace, undressing while scanning for anything that could serve as a weapon.

It wasn’t a place with tall grass or loose stones, but she spotted a sharp-edged piece suitable for a weapon. Stepping on the ground with her foot, she suggested, “It won’t be uncomfortable.”

Jude, unsuspecting, praised her for having a sense of humor.

With a sly smile, Freya said, “Or you can take off your clothes and lay them on the ground.”

“Sure.”

Since he was going to undress anyway, and the beautiful woman suggested it, Jude was naturally thrilled.

Taking advantage of Jude undressing, Freya bent down, picked up the sharp stone, and clenched it in her hand. Approaching Jude, catching him off guard, she forcefully struck his carotid artery, and blood instantly spurted out.

Jude howled like a wolf, covering his neck and cursing, “You wicked woman, how dare you hurt me!”

He attempted to grab Freya’s hair in retaliation, but she was prepared, dodging his attack and sprinting away. Hearing the commotion, the muscular man rushed over. Freya could swim, and she had planned her escape route. She ran towards the sea.

Yolanda, upon learning Freya’s escape, joined the pursuit. While chasing, she commanded the two men, “Catch her, don’t let her get away!”

Freya ran faster, but her legs felt a stabbing pain from a previous injury. She gritted her teeth and ran with all her might. Even if her legs suffered lasting consequences, it was better than being caught and mistreated. At the end was a small cliff, not too high, with the sea below.

Because it was dark, illuminated only by moonlight, she couldn’t discern the depth or presence of hidden rocks. By now, Yolanda and the two men had caught up. Especially Jude, with a distorted face and a fierce look, declared, “We must catch this wicked woman. I’ll torture her, how dare she deceive me and attack me. I’ll make her pay!”

The muscular man, viciously, added, “Daring to harm my brother, you’re tired of living.”

Yolanda thought both men were foolish and ordered, “Hurry and catch her; don’t let her escape!”

Closing in from three directions, Freya had no chance against the three of them. She clenched her teeth, thankful for her swimming skills. Without hesitating, she leaped into the sea.

“Damn!” Jude exclaimed, “It’s the sea down there.”

Yolanda reached the cliff’s edge to check. Not seeing Freya’s body, she became anxious and ordered the men, “Go down and find her, don’t let her escape!”

“We can’t swim,” the two men said.

Yolanda threatened, “If you don’t find her, do you not want the money?”

The two men exchanged glances and said, “There’s a path over there, we’ll go down and search.”

“Hurry up,” Yolanda urged.

By the time they reached the seaside through the small path, Freya had vanished without a trace. They had no idea whether she was alive or dead.

As night fell and unable to swim, they merely dampened their clothes, pretending to have entered the water. Jude, holding his bleeding neck, was in a dizzy state. “I need to go to the hospital, if the blood keeps flowing, I’ll die.”

The muscular man considered and said, “Let’s stick to the same story, we say she’s dead, and we take the money. Our main goal is to get the cash.”

“Understood,” Jude agreed.

They were never in it for a fight; they were after the money.

Their sole purpose was the cash!

Returning drenched, they informed Yolanda they had seen a body in the sea. “We tossed her in, and with so many carnivorous sharks in the ocean, there won’t be a trace in a day.”

Yolanda, half believing, asked, “Really?”

“How dare we lie to you? If you don’t believe, we’ll take you to see.” The two men declared confidently.

Seeing their willingness to take her, Yolanda concluded they weren’t lying.

Freya fell from that height. Even if she didn’t die from the fall, she must have been drowned.

“Alright.” Yolanda chose to trust them. She kept her promise and handed them the money.

Satisfied, she drove back. Thinking that her son had become the sole heir and the entire Stone family fortune was now in her hands, she was in a great mood.

Little did she know, Freya was still alive.

The water where she jumped was deep enough for a cushioned impact. Freya, having learned swimming from a young age, had excellent water skills. Unfamiliar with the surroundings, she wanted to get ashore quickly but dared not do so nearby, fearing Yolanda hadn’t left.

Now, the sky was beginning to brighten.

Suddenly, a light shone on her accompanied by a voice, “There’s someone here.”

Freya was startled-could it be Yolanda who had found her?

She swam desperately, but no matter how fast she swam, the boat was faster. Rylan shouted, “Liora? Is that you?”

Soon, the light illuminated Freya’s face-it wasn’t Liora. Rylan frowned, a bit disappointed. Xander had already left with his men, and they hadn’t found Liora all night. The odds were she didn’t make it. Rylan searched everywhere but found no trace. The hope of finding her alive was bleak. He felt despondent.

“Are you swimming here?” Rylan asked, puzzled. There was no shoreline here; it wasn’t suitable for swimming. How did she end up in the water?

Freya floated in the sea, revealing only her head. She looked at Rylan on the boat. Did he mistake her for Liora? Was he searching for Liora Valentine?

Thinking about what Elijah had said, that Liora wanted to escape overseas, and now Rylan was searching the sea, had Liora met a tragic end?

Someone whispered to Rylan, “She’s Elijah’s woman.”

Rylan suddenly realized. Liora had mentioned a woman named Freya Stone by Elijah’s side.

Could it be her?

Thinking about Elijah driving Liora to her death, he directed all his resentment towards Freya. Therefore, he ordered his men to bring Freya on board.

Freya tried to swim away quickly, but she had little strength left. Swimming slowly, she gave up struggling. Soaking in the water for too long, she felt cold and weak, even if she had the will. Moreover, she didn’t think this man who had no grudge with her would harm her.

Freya didn’t resist as she came aboard, and Rylan scrutinized her from top to bottom. She was already soaked, and though her clothes weren’t thin, the wet fabric clung to her body, outlining her curves clearly. She stood behind a box, intentionally blocking Rylan’s view.

She asked, “Are you going ashore?”

“Of course, we have to go ashore,” Rylan said. “We’re not fishermen; we don’t live on the sea.”

After a pause, he asked, “Do you have a relationship with Elijah?”

Freya didn’t answer immediately, unsure of the purpose behind his sudden question.

She remained silent.

Rylan sneered, “You don’t have to say it because I know about your relationship with Elijah.”

Freya quickly reacted, “Do you have a grudge against him?”

Otherwise, why the hostility in his words?

“He drove Liora to jump into the sea, and now she’s missing, probably dead. He forced my woman to her death. Do you think we’re on good terms?” He smirked, “It’s karma. He just harmed my woman, and now his woman falls into my hands. Isn’t that fair play?”

Freya was shocked. Did she put herself in danger again?

“If you have a score to settle with him, go find him. I’m not acquainted with him.” She tried to distance herself.

“I already know. It’s too late for denials,” Rylan said.

As the boat approached the shore, Rylan commanded, “Tie her up and take her below.”

Freya thought, “Why am I so unlucky?”

She gripped the railing, fingers tightening one by one. After a night of struggle, she was now exhausted. Escaping by jumping into the sea was no longer possible-they had a boat and could catch up anytime.

She attempted to negotiate with Rylan, “If you want revenge on Elijah, I can help you.”

Using a delaying tactic, she tried to break free first.
