You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 132 Her Questioning

Freya screamed in terror.

“Help! Uh-uh-”

Her mouth was covered by someone, and she struggled frantically. However, the person behind her was too strong and dragged her into the carriage. In the midst of her resistance, she saw that Xander was actually driving. Her pupils shrank suddenly as she turned around to see Elijah.

How… how could it be him?

Shouldn’t he be with Elara Montague at the hotel right now?

She did see Elijah drink that glass of wine. He should have been drugged by now.

Freya stopped struggling and spoke cautiously. “You…”

The colorful neon lights outside the car window flickered rapidly, passing by in clusters. Elijah hid in the darkness with a gloomy expression. “Freya, did you give me to another woman?”

His voice was deep like a dry well, echoing darkly and coldly.

Freya’s heart skipped a beat from his tone. “I didn’t mean to!”

Elijah wasn’t in any mood to listen to her explanations.

Elijah didn’t respond; Freya felt uneasy inside herself. “I…”

At this moment, Xander drove into an underground parking lot at their company building and got out of the car before leaving.

The garage was very dark; pitch black even.

“How did you find out?” Freya asked nervously.

Elijah remained silent but could hear her breathing clearly through his calm breaths.

Knowing Elijah’s temper well enough already made Freya realize that he must be angry right now but his breathing sounded so calm, which made it hard for her to determine if he had drunk that glass of wine or not.

“You didn’t drink that wine did you?” She asked him directly

“Freya, you wanted me to sleep with another woman so badly? Were you afraid I wouldn’t agree? So you drugged me ?”

In darkness where they stood face-to-face, Freya looked at him intently. “Do you believe me when I say I never wanted this?” asked she.

His laughter grew colder as it sank deeper within his throat. “Freya, do you think I’ll believe you?”

Immediately, his hands pinned down on top of hers while hovering over her body; there wasn’t any warmth left within his eyes staring down upon hers anymore.

It wasn’t just anger nor annoyance, but pure rage burning inside them.

“You don’t need drugs! You can seduce me without them!” As soon as these words fell from his lips, Freya’s neckline got ripped open forcefully under pressure from one hand alone.

The carriage became stuffy all around them, she couldn’t feel anything except heavy breathing filling up every inch surrounding them both. Her throat felt tight, sore, and swollen. She tried speaking again but only managed hoarse whispers, “Please don’t do this…”

“I shouldn’t do what?” He laughed mockingly again…

It was a smile, and Freya couldn’t even see his face clearly, but she could feel the coldness in his words.

“I’ll give you one chance. Tell me, why did you do this?”

Freya’s mind raced. If things didn’t go well this time, her child might be in danger. Jack Silverton was determined to make her leave Elijah. He had already taken her child as a hostage. What would he do if she continued to cling to Elijah? She didn’t dare think about it.

“I have nothing to explain. Everything was planned by me. You don’t know yet, but I even went to grandfather and asked him for help with our divorce…”

Her words were cut off as Elijah grabbed her by the neck and tore off all of her clothes. He pinned her down on the seat of the car and twisted her body into shameful positions just to humiliate her.

She didn’t resist anymore. She only moaned when she couldn’t stand the pain in her body.

The window glass was covered with thick water vapor. Both of them were sweating all over their bodies. Freya’s damp hair was all over her face.

Freya endured silently through each painful moment until she finally cried out in despair.

“Will you only let me go when I’m dead?”

Suddenly she began laughing hysterically – a laugh that sounded both sad and crazy at once.

Elijah wrapped his arm around her neck from behind, gripping onto her chin tightly, “What are you laughing at?”

He leaned close enough for his lips almost touching Freya’s earlobe. “Do you remember the man who slept with you on our wedding night?”

Freya remembered; trembling slightly as tears welled up in eyes before speaking hoarsely, “How could I forget… He was my first man… On our wedding night… I cheated on you.”

“It was me,” said Elijah pulling back some of Freya’s hair so that she could look directly at him. Her eyes was filled with disbelief as Freya was left no room for any thoughts or emotions other than confusion.

“I took care of Liora Valentine because she told me it was her, on our wedding night.” Continued Elijah releasing his grip on her hair and continued, “I was always afraid that you would hate me for making you lose the child, so I didn’t dare to tell you, but you betrayed me again and again, Freya. Do you really think I can’t live without you? Do you want a divorce? I’ll grant it to you.”

He buttoned up his shirt. “You want a divorce? I will help you.”

With that, he got out of the car. The car door slammed shut.

Freya trembled.

“Elijah?”

It was him that night.

She dragged herself up with a sore body, opened the car door, and wanted to go after him, but realized she was naked. She grabbed a random shirt to cover her chest and shouted loudly, “Elijah, come back!”

The underground garage was too dark. Her shout echoed in the empty space, and the emergency lights came on, but she couldn’t see him.

He had left.

Freya smiled, laughing and crying at the same time. She wasn’t a loose woman. She only had one man. Elijah was the only man in her life. She liked him a little bit, wanted to be with him.

Freya took a deep breath. Without thinking about her physical pain, she quickly got dressed and got into the car to find Jack Silverton to tell him that the child wasn’t an illegitimate child, but belonged to Elijah.

As soon as she finished dressing and got out of the car, her feet weakened and nearly fell over as she caught the car door. She quickly tied her disheveled hair in a bun at the back of her head. The underground garage was quiet in the evening, and the sound of walking footsteps echoed in the empty space.

As she walked out of the garage, she went to hail a taxi on the roadside.

The top floor of the building, the CEO office.

Elijah stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, facing the riverbank with its strings of lights. The dim light reflected on his face and then reflected back again, casting his features into an indistinct shadow.

The door knocked.

“Come in.”

Xander walked in, saying, “Mr Silverton.”

Elijah withdrew one hand from his pocket and was tidying his collar with the other hand. “Go to the monitoring room, delete the underground garage’s surveillance footage, and don’t go to the Stones’ company anymore. Tell Linda to throw out all of Freya’s things. I don’t want to see any trace of her again.”

“Mr Silverton…” Xander lowered his head.

“Just do it,” Elijah didn’t want to hear any words of persuasion. Now he believed that Freya would never see his sincerity, no matter what he did.

“Is it because of Elara Montague?” Xander couldn’t help asking.

Elijah had ordered him to get rid of Elara Montague before, but now he had arranged for her to be admitted again. Elara Montague must be special to him, or he wouldn’t have made exceptions.

Elijah said, “Tomorrow, go to the old mansion and bring back the jade pendant that belonged to Elara Montague…”

“Mr Silverton, that jade pendant is very important to you.” Xander was feeling restless. He wondered if Elijah had fallen for someone else.

Had she grown tired of Freya?

And now had her eyes set on Elara Montague?

“It doesn’t matter anymore, it’s time to return it to its owner.” He said calmly.

Xander understood. “That jade pendant belongs to Elara Montague?”

Elijah didn’t say anything.

It was a tacit admission. He knew that Elara Montague was Jack Silverton’s deliberate arrangement, and everything about her appearance was Jack’s plan. However, he had not anticipated the jade pendant’s involvement, which was also Jack Silverton’s scheme.

Indeed, Deck had given a good idea.

At least in this matter, Elijah had not guessed their entire intention.

Freya got off the car and walked straight inside the old mansion of the Silverton family. Deck was not around today, so she went straight to Jack Silverton.

Jack hadn’t slept yet, he was studying his chess under the lamp.

Freya barged in suddenly, and he felt puzzled, “Why are you coming so late?”

“Return my child to me.” She went straight to the point.

Jack Silverton was completely taken aback by these words, “What did you say?”

“My child, who was kidnapped by you. You threatened me into giving Elijah drugs and facilitating his relationship with Elara Montague. Isn’t everything you did planned by you?” Her tone was cold, “That child is Elijah…”

“I never kidnapped your child.” Jack put down his chess piece.Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
