You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 133 Who Caught Kai?

Freya couldn’t believe it. Deck had clearly admitted to doing it himself. She tried to stay calm. “The child is Elijah’s. If you don’t believe me, you can do a DNA test.”

Jack Silverton frowned, seeming skeptical. “What are you saying?”

“The child is Elijah’s,” Freya repeated slowly.

Jack Silverton nearly lost his balance and would have fallen if the servant hadn’t caught him.

“Go and bring Deck to me!” The old man ordered sternly.

“Yes,” the servant helped the old man sit down before hurrying off to find Deck.

Now Freya was confused. “You really didn’t take my child?”

“I wouldn’t deceive you like that,” Jack Silverton replied earnestly. “I wanted you to help matchmake Elara and Elijah, but I truly didn’t know about the child. If I wanted your child, I would have taken them directly from your villa last time regardless of anything else. Besides, your grandfather saved my life; how could I forget that?”

“Then why did Deck take my child in your name?” Freya still had doubts.

At this moment, a servant came running over in a panic looking for Jack, “Sir! We can’t find Deck!”

“What?!” Jack Silverton was no longer calm as he stood up abruptly and said urgently, “Go look for him, NOW!”

Freya’s face turned pale in an instant; she was completely stunned by what she heard and took two steps back unsteadily almost falling over – did this mean her child was in danger?

No way – she had to go find her baby right now!

However, Jack Silverton stopped her, “You’re not thinking straight, where will you even start looking?”

Freya couldn’t help but roar out angrily, “Do nothing?! Wait here?!”

Although he was old, Jack wasn’t foolish enough not to believe that something must have happened with Deck – he wouldn’t betray him like this.

“Give me some time, I’ll send someone out.”

But Freya couldn’t stay calm or wait quietly here either – not when her baby might be missing or worse.

“I’m going out too!” She declared firmly while trying to push past the servants holding her back.

“You think just going outside will help?” Jack asked incredulously.

“Then what am I supposed to do?! Just sit here waiting?” Her eyes were red with tears as she spoke – there was no way she’d just let things be when it came down their own flesh and blood being at risk.

“I will make sure Deck is found and get to the bottom of what happened!” Jack Silverton tried to calm her down. “Your anxiety won’t help right now. Will it bring results? Just give me some time to find Deck, everything will be clear.”

Freya knew she was impulsive but couldn’t stay calm. After all, her child’s life was uncertain. She trembled and couldn’t stand still.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

“I promise you that I’ll find him,” Jack Silverton said. He knew everything about Deck since he had been with him for a long time. That was why he dared to say so.

Freya took a deep breath and tried to think calmly.

It was unexpected.

She looked at Jack Silverton, trying to see if he was lying or not.

So who ordered Deck?

Jack Silverton also thought of this question first.

He first thought of his second son since they had targeted Elijah before. Although he warned them to behave themselves, it didn’t rule out that they were doing something behind his back.

“Does Elijah know about the child?” Jack Silverton asked tentatively.

“No,” Freya replied.

She hadn’t told him yet.

“Don’t tell him for now,” Jack Silverton whispered. “If he knows that our child is missing, he’ll do something reckless. You don’t want anything dangerous happening.”

Freya pursed her lips in agreement; she knew Elijah’s temper well enough by now.

“Sir, no one from Deck’s family is here anymore, they probably moved out earlier.” The servant reported.

Jack Silverton looked serious as he stood up and said, “Come with me.”

He got up but remembered Freya before leaving, “Wait here for me.”

Freya didn’t respond; she wasn’t going anywhere until she found her son.

Jack Silverton went off in his car towards his son’s house while Freya stood at the door thinking about who else could have taken their child away from them.

Her phone suddenly rang. She answered it immediately when Elowen Noir spoke urgently on the other end.

“Freya, come back quickly.”

“What happened?” Freya asked anxiously,

“Someone has Kai,” Elowen replied hurriedly.

Upon hearing news of Kai’s whereabouts, Freya perked up and replied, “I’ll be back soon.”

She quickly hailed a cab on her phone. Just then, a car pulled up and Xander stepped out. His expression flickered upon seeing Freya. Wondering why he was there at this time, she asked him, “What are you here?”

Xander responded with honesty, “Mr Silverton sent me to pick something up.”

Freya didn’t press further. She had no energy to focus on anything else right now, all her attention was on her child. Nothing was more important than Kai.

Soon, Xander came out with a box in his hand.

Freya had seen that box before. She remembered that Jack Silverton had said that it was important to Elijah.

She asked curiously, “What are you doing with this?”

Xander truthfully said, “Mr Silverton asked me to come and pick it up to give to Elara Montague.”

Freya was taken aback by this answer.

“Isn’t this important to him?” Freya asked.

Xander didn’t dare to look at her eyes and said, “No matter how valuable it is, it’s just an object, Miss Stone. I may not have time to go to your company in the future. If you need help, you can ask someone else.”

With that, Xander got into the car.

Freya ran after him and asked, “Xander, explain it to me clearly, what do you mean by that?”

“Mr Silverton ordered me to do this, and I’m just following his orders. If you don’t understand something, you can just ask him.” Xander said as he started the car.

“Is Elijah making you do this?” she asked.

Xander sighed, “Mr Silverton treats you well, and he’s been the most patient and kind person I’ve ever seen since I followed him. But you keep running away and pushing him into another woman’s arms. I think he may have lost hope in you…”

“So now he’s trying to please Elara Montague and giving her the most precious thing he has?” Her voice was hoarse.

Xander said, “I’m not sure, I’m just following orders. I still say, if you have any questions, just ask Mr Silverton.”

With that he stepped on the gas and left.

Freya’s face turned pale.

Was Elijah really serious about divorcing her?

Could he have moved on so quickly to please another woman and give away something so precious?

She raised her lips, feeling bitter and difficult to bear. He had repeatedly said he liked her and yet he hadn’t given the precious thing to her.

Was Elara Montague more important?

As she thought about it, tears ran out of her eyes.

She wiped them away with force.

Men were fickle, especially Elijah Silverton. Perhaps he was tired of her already. And she had foolishly thought that they could still have a good future together.

Freya wiped away her tears with force and raised her head. This kind of man was not worth her sadness, and even less worthy of being the father of her child. She didn’t have time to cry over such a man. Finding her child quickly was the most important thing she needed to do now. She hailed a taxi and quickly got in to go home. As soon as she entered the house, she anxiously asked, “Who captured Kai?”

Elowen hadn’t had time to answer when the man in the living room stood up and said, “I did.”
