You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 135

“I know your child has been taken by someone. Is there anything I can do to help?” Zane Stone didn’t let go of her.

Freya said, “No, just focus on studying how to manage the company.”

“Freya, Kai is also my nephew. Whether you admit it or not, I am Kai’s uncle. I am worried about him being taken and want to help you.” His tone was sincere and Freya couldn’t keep refusing his kindness.

She patiently replied, “The best way you can help me is by focusing on learning how to run the company.”

Zane looked at her with a different emotion in his eyes. “I will try my best.”

“I have urgent matters now, let go.” Freya said anxiously.

Zane slowly released his hand.

Freya hurriedly walked out but suddenly stopped and turned around to look at Zane. “Dad didn’t leave the company directly to you because he knew that you were not mature enough yet to take over the company. He entrusted it first with me because he loves and cares for you too much. As for your mother’s situation, she did make a lot of mistakes but I hope that you can let go of your hatred towards me and focus on learning.”

“What are you talking about?” Zane smiled,”Of course I know that my mom brought this upon herself…”

“What you think in your heart is clear only to yourself but others are not fools,” she finished speaking before quickly leaving.

Every time he was in front of her, Zane acted obediently even going as far as insulting his mother just so he could get closer to Freya, who controlled their father’s business empire.

But she wasn’t stupid, she understood that Zane was deliberately getting close for control over their father’s business empire. She had told him all those things earlier just so she could tell him that sooner or later, the business would be under his control. She had no intention of coveting it.

She also didn’t want him holding a grudge against her secretly because of Yolanda ending up behind bars. She was already tired enough without having another enemy. Hopefully, Zane still valued family ties and would change his mind.

However, Zane remained stunned where he stood. Yolanda was his mother, the person who treated him the best. How could he remain indifferent when seeing her behind bars?

He did want Freya’s trust first before taking over the company then finding a way.

He collected his thoughts and walked into the house, seeing Elowen sitting on the couch. He walked over to comfort her, saying, “Freya will bring Kai back safely. You don’t have to worry.”

Elowen’s attitude towards him was neither good nor bad. Leo Stone had entrusted all of his assets to her and Freya, as well as sending Yolanda Steele in with the purpose of having them take care of Zane Stone. Since he was Leo Stone’s only son, Elowen did not give him a hard time. After all, adult matters do not involve children. Moreover, Leo Stone had already passed away. Any grievances or hatreds disappeared with his death.

“I understand. You should go rest early,” said Elowen.

Zane said, “Okay. If there is anything you need me for just let me know.”

Elowen nodded her head.

Zane went upstairs while Elowen emained sitting on the couch in the living room unable to sleep. If she could protect Kai from being caught then her daughter would not be threatened.

Freya rushed over to Jack’s old mansion but Jack had not returned yet so she waited in the living room for a while. It wasn’t until dawn that Jack Silverton finally returned home. Freya took two steps forward to greet him but stopped when she saw Deck being brought back by force.

Jack Silverton looked very tired; after all he was getting old and after a night of chaos he was mentally exhausted. He reached out his hand and Freya helped support him.

“I’ve checked it out, it wasn’t done by my second son,” he breathed a sigh of relief at this news.

He had been afraid that once his second son’s family didn’t behave themselves, he could not even protect them from Elijah.

“Do you know Ronan Vega?” He asked FreyaContent © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

Freya nodded her head, “Yes I know him, Elijah has also had some conflicts with him.”

“Oh… so this time he came for Elijah?” Jack asked.

“I don’t know.”

Ronan Vega did tell her that but Freya had no idea of his true intention.

Jack sighed heavily, “It’s my fault too, I didn’t notice anything wrong with Deck. Otherwise something like this wouldn’t have happened.”

“Deck was bought off?” asked Freya.

Jack Silverton shook his head. “He has been with me for many years, and I trust him. Money cannot buy his loyalty. Ronan Vega captured his wife and threatened to harm her unless he whispered in my ear to get your divorce certificate from Elijah. He also kidnapped your child, forcing you to marry Ronan Vega. What do you think about this?”

Freya didn’t want anything to do with the Silverton family anymore, so she was fine with getting a divorce.

“You’re not satisfied with me anyway, Elijah is interested in Elara Montague now, so I don’t need to stay here anymore. As for the child, I will save him myself.” Her tone was calm without anger or annoyance.

Once she figured it out, she felt relieved.

“You said that your child is Elijah’s? Since he is a member of the Silverton family, we can’t just ignore him.”

“Elijah is alive and well; if you want great-grandchildren so badly, he can give them to you. As for Kai, he’s mine.”

Jack Silverton frowned. “Did Elijah accept Elara Montague?”

Freya smirked slightly. “He gave her something very precious, he must like her so much now.”

“What did he give her?”

“The thing that made him angry when I broke it last time, he gave it to Elara Montague because he likes her.” Freya explained calmly.

At this point, she had calmed down completely. Even if there was a hint of discomfort in her heart, she didn’t want others seeing it on display.

Jack Silverton understood that Elijah saw through his attempts at matchmaking between Elara Montague and him but failed even though Jack arranged their meeting by chance through the jade pendant.

“Freya…”

“I came here just wanted tell you that I know where Kai is now located, regarding what happened earlier today, what we talked about earlier. I’ll keep quiet about it all… and hope that Elijah keeps quiet too since there’s already another woman involved.” She paused before continuing, “So please keep quiet about Kai too.”

Jack furrowed his brow. “Kai is part of the Silverton family. How could we possibly ignore him?”

“So what do you plan on doing then?” Freya asked back coolly.

Jack fell silent for a moment before asking, “Why didn’t you tell me earlier that Kai was Elijah’s son? If only I knew sooner then maybe Elara wouldn’t have gotten close enough near Elijah.”

“I was lying to you, Elijah and Elara are doing well together,” she said, turning the conversation around. “What will you do with Deck?”

Jack Silverton looked at Freya, not believing that she had lied to him. After all, she had previously promised to take a paternity test. And he even thought that Freya was unhappy about the fact that Elijah was close to Elara.

With Deck causing trouble and making him confused, he even changed Freya and Elijah’s marriage certificate into a divorce certificate.

“Well then, if you need my help with anything in the future just come find me. As for Deck, he did have a chance to run away but he chose to come back and confess everything to me. I’ll go easy on him. What do you think?”

Freya wouldn’t influence Jack Silverton’s decision-making process; although she was angry with Deck for what he did but he was also being coerced into doing so against his will. Pursuing this matter too much would make her appear harsh which couldn’t change their current predicament.

“You can handle it however you want. I’m going back now.” She said before walking out of the room.

Jack Silverton called after her saying, “I misunderstood you.”

But now those things didn’t matter anymore for Freya. She waved her hand indicating that it didn’t matter before stepping out of the threshold door. She originally wanted to return home but remembered that there were still some things left behind in Elijah’s villa, so she took a taxi there instead. When getting off from the car intending on going inside, Freya saw luggage outside by the door. Linda hadn’t thrown away any of Freya’s belongings instead tidied them up neatly inside luggage bags placed outside by the entranceway.

Seeing Freya return Linda walked out saying, “Madam…”

She hesitated while speaking further

“The items in this suitcase aren’t mine right?” asked Freya looking at Linda who had always been kind towards her knowing full well that Linda wouldn’t throw away any of her belongings carelessly

Linda nodded silently.

“Elijah told you to do this?” asked Freya knowing how cold-hearted that man could be; changing his mind faster than flipping through pages of a book?

Lifting up her head slightly, Freya replied, “I see.”

“What happened between you and Mr Silverton, Madam?”

“Linda, you’re calling the wrong person, aren’t you?”
