You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 151 A Bad Premonition

Freya looked dazed, a mix of pain and helplessness on her face. “I didn’t want to tell you. I wanted you to never know you had a child, as revenge for your infidelity.”

Elijah suddenly gripped her shoulders. “Is everything you said true?”

“Why would I lie to you?” She deflated like a balloon losing air, leaning against him, her lips trembling. “I was pregnant with twins. Liora Valentine did an amniocentesis, and I got infected. Even without the beatings, one child wouldn’t have survived, but I managed to save the other. Those months I disappeared were to give birth.”

Elijah’s heart pounded wildly.

Rhythm disrupted, breaths scattered, thoughts in chaos. He tried to lift his hand, but it felt powerless. His voice, hoarse, barely formed words. “Where is the child?”

Freya choked, “Taken by Ronan. He’s using the child to force me into marriage.”

Shock and joy faded from Elijah’s face almost instantly.

“What did you say?” His tone turned cold, his expression ominous.

“So release me. I need to find him…” Freya pleaded.

Elijah embraced her waist, flipping her onto the bed, swapping their positions.

“I’ll have my secretary bring you clothes. Leave the child to me.” Said he.

He spoke, rising to leave.

Freya stopped him, “Kai is young, don’t let him get hurt.”

She was afraid that Elijah might act recklessly and offend Ronan, potentially putting Kai in danger.

“I know.”

With that, Elijah left the room. He went straight to find Ronan, without any plan.

In the past, he would never have acted this way; he avoided uncertain actions. But this time was different. Perhaps it was concern causing disorder. Or maybe caring too much, hindering rational thinking.

Ronan had returned to Stratos City.

“We need to go now.”

“What?” Xander thought he misheard. He repeated, “Ronan is back in Stratos City. We need to go there?”

Elijah glanced at him, “Yes, right now.”

Xander didn’t dare question and hurried to arrange.

Elijah rushed to Stratos City overnight. During the journey, he regained some composure. Negotiating with Ronan hastily wasn’t wise. To make him release Freya, Elijah had to resort to some means.

Finally, he roughly captured Ronan, then, putting a sack over him, gave him a good beating.

Ronan cursed angrily, “Who the hell are you? Have the guts to face me directly… ouch!”

He received a kick. Pain curled him up. Recovering, he continued swearing, “Who the hell are you? Is this fair?”

“If you dare, take off the sack on my head!” Ronan sneered.

“I won’t.” Xander replied.This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Ronan found his voice was familiar.

“Xander? Let go of me!” Ronan fumed. “You’re crazy. I tell you, I’m not done with you.”

Elijah signaled Xander to remove the sack. Understanding, Xander reached for it. Seeing Elijah, Ronan’s expression turned uglier.

“Elijah, what do you mean?” He angrily questioned.

“Where is the child?” Elijah urgently asked.

Quick to react, Ronan thought of what Elijah referred to. He frowned, “Where’s the child? Ask your grandfather. Why bother asking me?”

“What nonsense is this?” Xander moved to kick him, but Elijah stopped him, icy eyes fixed on Ronan. “What do you mean?”

“What do I mean? What else could it mean? The child was taken by your grandfather.”

Elijah frowned. A bad premonition crept in. If the child was with Ronan, it might be safer than with his grandfather.

Jack had always supported his uncle’s family. If the child was known to his uncle… At the thought of this, Elijah’s mood grew anxious. Perhaps caring too much hindered rationality. He took out his phone to call Jack.

“My mom was abducted by your grandfather. He took the child as an exchange. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have given the child to him.” Ronan spoke, attempting to sit up, but being bound, he couldn’t. He looked at Xander, “Untie me!”

Xander knew the child wasn’t with him and felt uneasy.

He undid the bindings. Upon gaining freedom, Ronan threw a heavy punch at Xander. Caught off guard, Xander reeled, blood oozing from his lips.

“Were you the one kicking me just now?” Ronan sneered, features twisted. “Thinking I’m easy to bully?”

Another punch came.

Xander, still recovering, couldn’t evade. In pain, he spat blood on the ground. Lips moved, he wiped the bloody corner, not retaliating. Instead, he said to Ronan, “We’re even now.”

“Even? You kicked me a few times just now!” Ronan angrily questioned.

His stomach still hurt.

Xander, confused, didn’t recall how many times he kicked Ronan.

“Do you think I can’t beat you?” Xander wouldn’t let himself be beaten.

Ronan refrained from further struggle, shifting his gaze to Elijah. “Freya was taken by you, right?” Without waiting for Elijah to deny, he continued, “Don’t bother denying. I know. I won’t argue with you now, I’m busy.”

His mother kept a close eye on him, and he had been busy lately, no time to visit Urbora City.

Elijah glanced at him, indifferent. “Xander, let’s go.”

Although Elijah said nothing, Ronan was sure Freya was with him. Perhaps because Elijah didn’t deny.

Elijah came rushing, and now he was rushing back. Although the two cities were adjacent, it took a considerable amount of time. Back in Urbora City, he went directly to Jack’s old mansion. After continuous rushing, without changing his clothes, the suit was heavily wrinkled. However, it didn’t diminish his imposing aura.

“Grandfather.”

Entering, Jack was about to leave. Seeing Elijah, his flustered expression instinctively avoided eye contact. “Elijah?”

“Where is the child?” Elijah asked.

Jack frowned. How did he suddenly know and find out about the child’s whereabouts?

Or was he playing tricks?

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Jack wanted to conceal.

Not that he wanted to continue hiding.

“Grandfather, give me the child now.” Elijah demanded straightforwardly.

Jack wanted to pretend, directly seen through by Elijah.

“Do I need to call Ronan Vega to confront you?” asked Elijah.

Jack looked a bit flustered. “How did you know?”

“Where is the child?” Elijah ignored his question.

Jack evaded, making Elijah uneasy.

“Did the child disappear?”
