You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 155 We Break Up

“Wait a moment.” When Elijah was about to get up, Freya moved the mouse and said, “Know your enemy, and you shall win 100 battles without loss.”

She looked at the information about that woman.

Elijah watched Freya’s profile, a faint smile playing on his lips as he appreciated her attention to detail. After Freya finished reading the woman’s information, she said, “Getting close to her shouldn’t be difficult.”

“Why do you say that?” Elijah asked.

Freya explained, “Look, she works in dance rating, meaning she understands dance. Coincidentally, I know a bit about it. Can’t this be considered an advantage?”

Elijah looked at her with a gleam in his eyes.

Yes, Freya knew a lot of things.

She could play the piano, paint, dance, and even had medical skills.

“By the way.” She suddenly remembered someone. “She might know him.”

She took a photo of the woman’s profile with her phone and pulled Elijah along. “Do you remember Mr Greyson from Racom Pharmaceutical?”

Elijah followed her, saying, “I remember, we had business dealings.”

“His wife runs a dance studio, and their students need ratings. Maybe she knows her,” Freya said excitedly.

Fortunately, his wife hadn’t forgotten Freya.

“You haven’t come over since you left. What brings you here today?” Freya found Verity Quinn in the dance studio, and the enthusiastic woman invited Freya to her office, complaining while pouring her water.

Freya explained, “I had some things to deal with, so I didn’t have time to come. But I haven’t forgotten you.”

“Here’s some water for you.” Verity smiled as she handed Freya the glass.

Freya took it but didn’t drink. Instead, she placed it on the table and took out her phone to show her the photo. “Do you know her?”

Verity looked closely and said, “Yes, I know her. Isn’t she Calista Winters?”

Freya brightened. “Do you know her well?”

Verity shook her head. “We’re acquainted, but we haven’t had much contact privately.”

They were quite familiar because of their work-related interactions. Verity had many students every year who needed ratings, so they became acquainted through frequent encounters.

“I want to get to know her. Can you help me with an introduction? Also, do you know her preferences?” Freya asked eagerly.

“I heard she likes watching plays.” Verity looked at Freya. “Why are you inquiring about her? What’s going on?”This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

“I just want to be friends with her.” Freya smiled.

Verity was a smart woman, and it was clear that becoming friends wasn’t Freya’s sole intention. However, Freya didn’t elaborate, and Verity didn’t press further.

“How about I arrange for you two to have dinner? I’ll introduce you.” Verity suggested.

Freya considered it for a moment, thinking that arranging a meeting through work would be more appropriate and less likely to arouse suspicion.

“That sounds good.”

Verity smiled and went to her desk to pick up the well-organized documents. She handed them to Freya. “Could you take these evaluation lists for me? After you submit them, they’ll call me directly if there’s any issue with the certificates. If you’re busy, you don’t need to come back to tell me.”

Freya thanked Verity for her consideration. “I do have some things to attend to. If there’s a chance, I’ll treat you to a meal.”

Verity agreed, and Freya left with the documents. Elijah was waiting for her in the car at the entrance.

“I’m going to the cultural center. I can take a taxi; you can go if you’re busy,” Freya said, standing by the driver’s side window.

Elijah said, “Come up, I’ll take you.”

She fastened her seatbelt.

“Are you sure?” Elijah asked.

“Rest assured, I won’t cause trouble for you. I can take care of myself. My goal is to save Kai, not to put myself in danger. Besides, I don’t think my approach will reveal any flaws,” Freya confidently stated.

Elijah knew she was intelligent, but she was still a woman. Against brute force, she wouldn’t stand a chance.

“Don’t be careless.”

“Got it.” Freya replied.

After that, the car fell into silence. Freya wanted to say something, but she found herself speechless. Soon, the car arrived at the cultural center. Freya got out, saying, “Drive safely.”

Elijah looked at her and said, “Okay.”

Freya went inside. She wasn’t familiar with the place, so she had to ask around to find the department for submitting materials. Luckily, she found Calista Winters working there.

She knocked on the open door, catching Calista Winters’ attention. “Hello, I’m here to submit the evaluation list.”

“Give it to me.” Calista Winters was sitting at her computer.

Today, she had a subtle and elegant makeup look, different from the day she appeared at the hospital. On that day, she had just finished a play, and her makeup was heavier. Without removing it, she went to the hospital at Thorne’s request to undergo a checkup in case she was pregnant.

Freya handed the list to her. Just as she was about to strike up a conversation, Calista Winters’ phone rang.

Holding the list, Calista Winters answered the call and walked outside. Seeing that she hadn’t left yet, Freya pretended to leave, discreetly following her.

Calista Winters opened the back door and saw Thorne standing there.

“You came over.” She walked over to him.

“We should break up.” Thorne said directly.

Calista Winters was caught off guard. Her mind went blank.

“Why? I haven’t gotten pregnant, right? Why do you want to break up with me?” When they were together, he mentioned not liking children.

Calista Winters was obedient, and she didn’t want children herself. She wanted to enjoy a few more years of their two-person world before considering children. However, she didn’t know that Thorne didn’t want children because she wasn’t the chosen one.

Thorne didn’t want complications, so he claimed he didn’t like children.

“No reason, I’m just bored.” Thorne said indifferently.

Calista Winters genuinely liked him. “Thorne, I’ll listen to you…”

“I don’t like being entangled.” After uttering those words, Thorne walked toward the car parked by the roadside. Calista Winters hurriedly reached out, grabbing his arm, her voice choked, “Thorne, if I did something wrong, just tell me. Don’t treat me like this.”

Thorne impatiently shook off her hand.

“I told you, don’t bother me. Can’t you understand?” he snapped.

“Thorne,” Calista Winters wanted to approach, but Thorne Silverton forcefully pushed her away, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground.

She lifted her head, tears swirling in her eyes. “Are you really breaking up with me?”

Thorne coldly replied, “Yes.”

As he got into the car, he received a call. “Is it reliable? Are you sure she’s a woman who has had a child?”

At the mention of a child, Freya’s attention was immediately piqued.
