You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 231

Chapter 231

When Skylar heard what Jayson said, his expression became even worse. "You believe in such a

thing?"

"No," Jayson denied.

"When I went to the club yesterday, I knew the manager was obviously lying, but I don't know who is

behind this," Skylar said.

Skylar would only believe in his own guess and judgment in this matter. He never gave others the

benefit of the doubt.

However, Jayson did not think so. "President Holland, even if Miss Chariott is still alive all these years,

and even if she's powerful, she'll never be able to manipulate the manager into lying for her. That

manager is not an ordinary person."

Jayson's analysis was reasonable, but Skylar was unwilling to believe it.

He was holding on to his belief. The person on that day was Coralie, and Marian was lying.

While they were discussing, Sabella Jakeman stood at the door for a long time.

When she met Skylar for the first time, she had decided to marry him. In order to marry him, Sabella

had investigated everything about Skylar, whether it be Valerie Rae or Coralie Chariott.

She was positive that Skylar loved Coralie.

In Sabella's opinion, she would never be able to surpass a dead person, but she could try to imitate

Coralie.

Sabella listened to them for a long time at the door. Knowing that the two of them were in a stalemate,

she pushed the door open and entered. She looked at Skylar and Jayson, then she smiled faintly and

said, "It seems that it's not the right time for me to come. I'll go out and wait for a while."

Skylar looked at the time and found that it was not the time to get off work yet.

Sabella knew what he was thinking, so she explained, "The auction is far from here. I'm worried that

we'll get caught in a traffic jam on the road, so I wanted to ask if you could leave earlier."

When Jayson saw Skylar talking to Sabella, he put a stop to his words and silently left the office.

Skylar remembered that he had promised to attend the auction with Sabella the previous day.

"Give me a moment," he said.

So far, his work today was almost done. He went to the changing room, switched into a more formal

coat, and then left with her.

Today, Sabella was wearing a beige dress with her long hair draped over her shoulders. Her outfit had

been adapted based off of Coralie's preferences in the past.

......

Today, Coralie also came to the auction with Xenia Lowell.

Originally, she had had no intention to come here. After all, staying with Hendric was more important

than such activities. However, Xenia had been persuading her and said, "At least we should see who's

going to get this today. If you regret it someday, you can also buy it back from the person, right?"

In the end, she dragged Coralie all the way here.

Coralie knew that with her financial ability, she would never be able to spend hundreds of thousands or

even millions of dollars to get this bracelet back.

That would just be reaching for the sky.

The people who attended the auction were dressed formally. The men were in suits, and the women

were in dresses. Coralie was dragged away by Xenia from the hospital. Thus, she was only wearing an

ordinary coat and linen pants, but that made her even more conspicuous in the crowd.

"I'd better leave."

As soon as Coralie entered the auction hall, she regretted it.

She did not fit in with the crowd.

"It's okay, it's okay, let's sit in the last row!"

Xenia pulled her to the last row.

The auction was held by the Lowell family, so they had their own entrance passes.

The two of them sat down. The usherette gave them a list of the items that would be auctioned tonight.

Coralie took a look at it. Although her emerald bracelet was one of a kind, it was very ordinary among

these auctioned items. It was arranged to the front of the list, as the third item. As the list stretched,

there were also some vases, valuable antiques, bronze statues, and so on, which looked luxurious at

first glance.

"What's on the second floor?"

Coralie pointed to a small compartment on the second floor and asked.

"It's a VIP box generally for the rich people," Xenia explained. "Do you want to go and take a look? I'll

ask if they're occupied. If we can get a seat there, we can go up too."

After all, she was the daughter of the Lowell family. She could go wherever her heart desired.

"No, you don't need to do that. I'm just asking."

Coralie quickly waved her hand and refused.

They came early. In the beginning, the seats were all empty. After waiting for about half an hour, the

hall was packed. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Soon, the auction began.

After the auction of the first two items, it was the turn for Coralie's emerald bracelet.

The deal price for the first two items were three hundred thousand and four hundred and fifty thousand

dollars respectively. Coralie thought that her bracelet would be valued at around a million dollars, if not

less.

Before the value of the emerald bracelet was announced, the host flashed a photo of the bracelet on

the big screen and introduced it in detail. After the introduction, the host began the bid with a price at

one hundred thousand dollars.

"One hundred thousand."

"Three hundred thousand."

Someone had offered three hundred thousand. Xenia and Coralie were sitting there. Coralie was very

nervous, hoping that the price would not be too high. In this way, it would be easier for her to reclaim it

if she really wanted to in the future.

The bids increased until it reached seven hundred thousand dollars.

After confirming that no one was willing to raise the price again, the auctioneer began to shout, "Seven

hundred thousand, going once."

"Eight hundred thousand!"

As soon as the auctioneer declared it for the first time, someone offered eight hundred thousand

dollars. The audience burst into an uproar. Coralie turned her head and found that it was Xenia who

offered the bid!

"Xenia! You don't have to bid for it!"

Coralie was anxious. She didn't expect that Xenia would buy her emerald bracelet.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm not lacking any money. When you have money in the future, you can just reclaim it

from me!"

Xenia stuck out her tongue and said to Coralie.

Listening to her words, Coralie was so grateful that no words could express her gratitude.

The auctioneer saw that someone offered eight hundred thousand dollars and said, "This lady offered

eight hundred thousand. Is there any higher price?"

After repeated confirmation, the auctioneer began to shout, "Eight hundred thousand, going once."

"Eight hundred thousand, going twice."

When the auctioneer was at the second shout, Coralie felt that her heart was going to jump out of her

throat.

As long as the auctioneer sealed the deal, this bracelet would belong to Xenia.

However, at this moment.

"No.1 VIP, two million."

In the speaker, the bidder of the VIP room suddenly announced the price.

All of a sudden, the crowd burst into an uproar again.

Everyone knew that although this bracelet was exquisite, it was definitely not worth two million dollars!

Xenia leapt to her feet in surprise and looked up to see who was the No.1 VIP that actually offered two

million.

"Who on earth is it? What the hell! Who's trying to take my stuff!"

Xenia didn't know who offered the price. She originally wanted to get it for Coralie, but now she couldn't

afford to pay two million dollars.

The VIP private room was covered with a one-way mirror. The person sitting inside could see through

the mirror but the person outside couldn't see who was inside the room. It served as privacy protection

for the VIP guests.

"Coralie, I'm sorry, I can't afford it now." Xenia sat down, turned around, and wanted to comfort Coralie

who was sitting next to her, but she found that the seat next to her was empty. Coralie had already

gotten up and left.

"Coralie!"

Xenia thought that Coralie was angry, so she quickly chased after her.

By the time she caught up with Coralie, she had already left the auction room. Xenia quickly said,

"Don't be angry. Since the bracelet is sold at a high price, I'll ask my grandfather to add up some

money for you."

Coralie shook her head and said, "There's no need. The person who bought the bracelet must be

Skylar."

At the moment when the speaker broadcasted that someone offered two million dollars, Coralie knew

that that guy must be Skylar.
