A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret

BOOK 2: CHAPTER 71

Rowan's POV

It wasn't as though I didn't want to believe Reina but it was almost impossible to believe. Who was I deceiving anyway? If the man could do what he did to me and still put up a front of being a morally upright man, what else couldn't he do?

The fact that he owes a pack was more astounding. A man who wasn't an alpha or even a beta was owing a pack. I can't imagine the look on my father's face when I tell him this.

"What are you thinking?" Reina asked, pulling me out of my train of thought.

"Nothing,"

I answered.

"You have a smug look on your face," She said, pointing at me.

I took her finger in my mouth and licked it. "That's dirty, RowanAll text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

"I love dirt as long as it's coming from you," I winked at her.

"So, what will you do now?" She asked regarding the document I was holding.

I shrugged. I had a lot of ideas in my head that I needed to think about before taking any unnecessary steps.

"Where is this pack of yours located?" I asked her.

I could see her reluctance as she stared at me with those beautiful eyes.

"Somewhere far away,"

“Are you hiding something from me?" I asked her. "Or are you reluctant about telling me where the pack is?"

Reina walked up to the map on the wall and circled a part of it.

"It should be somewhere around here. It's hidden behind lots of mountains so it's tricky knowing the way in," she explained. She had totally ignored my first question but that was fine. I wouldn't push further until she was ready.

"Do you want to go?" She suddenly asked me.

“I might if I'm tempted but first, I think we should talk to Mika about this,"

She intertwined our hands and I couldn't help the smile on my face. As we walked out of the Alpha's building and into the packhouse, all eyes were

on us.

Wasn't it already obvious? She was running around the pack with my mark on her neck yesterday? Shouldn't that have told the story of us being mates?

"Hello Luna," One bold girl waved at her and it took Reina several business days to wave back because of how surprised she

was.

I laughed.

When we finally arrived at Mika's, a very heated argument was going on between her and Alexander.

"You knew far too well what was going on with Rowan in the palace even before I knew and what did you do? You stood on the sideline and watched your brother getting

s entire life destroyed because your mother told you not to do anything about it," Mika yelled at the top of her voice.

"When you found out, what did you do? yo

packed your things and left without even a little confrontation with your father. don't stand there and be a fucking hypocrite,"

"Yes, I didn't do anything about it when I was supposed to but it doesn't make you any better than I am. Don't stand there and keep judging me for what is not,"

"You know what? It's hopeless trying to have this conversation with you. Even if I try to explain a million times, you would never get it," "What other explanation would you want to make? The fact that your mother controls your entirety. She rules your world and you let her,"

"At least she doesn't go around abusing kids,"

I didn't want to know what Mika or Ander Would

She raised an eyebrow and I faked a smile. I didn't want her to find out about what happened to me like that.

When the two of them went silent, I kicked the door open.

"Why don't you two stand in the pack's square so everyone could hear you?" I asked them.

"I'm sorry, Alpha Rowan," Mika quickly apologized.

"Rowan, listen," Alexander tried talking to me but I stopped him.

"Not now, Ander. Not now,"

I knew he was probably about to talk about the document he gave me and in all honesty, I wasn't ready to listen to him.

"We're here to see you, Mika. Both Reina and I,"

"What's going on?" She asked.

I opened the document on the table and Mika gave me a panicked look.

"That's my father, right?" She asked. It's been years since I told her to hide that file.

I shrugged. Why was it a question? Shouldn't she recognize her father more than the rest of us?

"Reina has something to tell you about him,"

I told her and urged Reina. I kept my hand on the small of her back for support.

"Come on,"

"This man in this picture is the Alpha of the pack where I come from. We call him Chief and he has a wife and a son called Luke,"

Reina looked at me and I nodded, telling her she did great.

Mika went silent for a while before she suddenly began laughing

"This must be a joke, right?" Mika asked.

Reina shook her head. She was looking so worried.

"If it isn't a joke, then you're making a mistake, Reina. You probably have him confused for someone else,"

"He has a tattoo of a wolf with a bead on his neck," Reina added out of nowhere.

That was the confirmation that Mika needed. Even I needed that confirmation.

"Whoever that man is isn't my father. My father might be everything else but he isn't a cheat"

"He's a fucking pedophile and that's okay but the moment he has another family, that isn't," Alexander suddenly asked her.

“No! No! That's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying my father would never lie to my mom,"

Mika yelled.

"Does that mean your mother was aware..."

"Shut up, Alexander," she spat.

Mika turned to Reina. "I don't know why you're lying like this, Harriette but no, this Chief or whoever it is you know is not my father,"

Reina suddenly grabbed Mika's hand. "Call me a liar or not, I don't care but don't you dare call me Harriette again. Don't call me by the same name

your father gave me,"
