Chapter 21 The One She Likesnoveldrama
Madison nodded, letting out a quiet sigh. Dealing with Sierra's family, especially her father, would be no easy task.
Sierra said softly, "Maddy, I want to return to school and continue studying piano with Ms. Linden."
Madison's eyes brightened, and a smile spread across her face. "That's wonderful! Ms. Linden always thought so highly of you. If you go back, she'll definitely be thrilled."

However, Sierra's expression remained downcast. She lowered her gaze and said, "Ms. Linden was really upset and disappointed when I left. I don't even know how to face her now."
She had studied piano under Jemima for years, and Jemima had treated her like both a teacher and a mother. But when Sierra decided to leave to support Benson's startup, she let Jemima down.
"How will you know unless you try?" Madison encouraged her. "Cee, I'm sure if you sincerely apologize, Ms. Linden will forgive you. You were always her favorite and most valued student."
Sierra pressed her lips together and nodded.
"Whether or not she agrees to teach me again, I owe her an apology."
Sierra reached out to her former classmates to get in touch with Jemima, only to find out that she had fallen ill and was in the hospital.
Sierra immediately called for a taxi and rushed to the hospital.
“Aunt Jemima, how are you feeling today?" Theo walked into the hospital room with a gift and addressed Jemima, who was sitting on the bed reading a book.
Jemima adjusted her glasses and looked up at him. A warm, kind smile spread as she closed the book. "Oh, Theo, it's you. I'm feeling much better now. What brings you here today?"
"I had some free time, so I thought I'd come to check on you." After cleaning an apple, Theo sat down and started peeling it.
Jemima watched his focused demeanor and sighed. "You look more and more like your mother. I remember when your mother and I used to play piano together.
"We used to joke that when she had kids, she'd make sure they learned piano from a young age. Time flies, and now you've all grown up."
Jemima and Theo's mother, Renee Tate, had been the best of friends and as close as sisters. They grew up learning piano together and were inseparable. Renee's piano talent surpassed Jemima's, but she eventually chose family life. Tragically, her life was cut short in a car accident at a young age. Jemima had grieved deeply. She cried so much that she nearly lost her eyesight.
Theo had inherited Renee's piano talent. He studied for a few years when she was still alive and had already gained recognition in the piano community. But after her passing, he never touched a piano again.
Perhaps it was to avoid reopening old wounds.
A flicker of pain crossed Jemima's eyes.
“Aunt Jemima, the doctor advised you to avoid overthinking," Theo said calmly, handing her the peeled apple. Jemima accepted it and smiled faintly. "Now you're telling me what to do? Let's talk about you. You're already thirty, and you still don't have a girlfriend. Haven't you met someone you like?"
Theo's gaze flickered slightly at her words. He pressed his lips together and softly said, "Yes."
Jemima's eyes widened in surprise. She immediately asked, "Who is she? What's she like? How old is she? Is she pretty?"
Theo's lips curved into a faint smile as he replied, "I'll tell you after I win her over."
"Win her over? I can't believe there's a girl who isn't already smitten with you."
What do you think?
