"We should return to Wildridge Manor and inform Nana of this, Seren. She probably wishes to meet the masters."

Upon recalling that Serenity had woken up early, Zachary changed his mind. He said, "You can go back and rest. I'll go to the manor. If Nana wants to come, I'll drive her over."

Serenity replied, "I'm not tired. I'll go with you.

"We haven't gone back for some time anyway. We can stay there with Sonny for the weekend. We should also tell them that I'll be taking him to Annenburg when winter break starts next week."

Zachary asked worriedly, "Will it be exhausting for you? Get some rest if you feel tired. Don't overdo it."

Serenity straightened her back and patted her bump. "The baby isn't that big yet. I won't get tired that easily." "Don't pat your bump. The baby might've woken up from his sleep because of that."

Zachary caressed Serenity's baby bump after speaking.

Whenever he returned home early, he liked to lay beside Serenity after Sonny slept and stare at her bump.

Zachary had seen the baby when the doctor placed the ultrasound probe on Serenity's bump during a nuchal translucency scan.

He would look at the sonogram he got from the scan before heading out every morning.

The baby was the crystallization of his and Serenity's love.

The fetus was developing well.

It could only be referred to as an embryo previously but was now considered a fetus when it had started growing.

Zachary opened the car door and let Serenity in before hopping into the car himself.

After settling down in the car, Serenity said, "The baby is asleep most of the time. He's not old enough yet. Even after he's born, he'll be sleeping a lot. Sometimes, babies might even have opposite sleep schedules. He'll refuse to sleep when you're asleep, and vice versa.

"Don't worry. I'll take a month off work after you give birth to stay by your side and care for the baby. You just have to rest and recover.

"You can choose to stay at home or go to a postpartum care center."

Zachary said, "I've bought many books about pregnancy and parenting. I'll be able to apply what I've learned after the baby is born. When that time comes, you can observe how I'm doing.

“I'll sign up for a first-time dad training session next year. While I can't get pregnant for us, and have no choice but to let you suffer alone, I can look after our little ones after they're born.

"Alex will be able to work starting next year. My time will be freed up after delegating some work to my brothers."

Before Zachary married Serenity, he had been a responsible eldest brother and cousin. He took on all the tiring and heavy responsibilities so that his younger brothers could relax and live a carefree life.

He had never complained or was jealous of them because he was the eldest.

Ever since he was young, his parents had told him that he was to be the successor and future head of the family. Therefore, he had to be more capable than the rest to protect the York family's legacy.

A family had to have outstanding and qualified successors in every generation to flourish for a long time.

Zachary was the successor trained by the family.

He was used to the training despite being young back then because he had always known he was going to be the head of the family.

Those days continued until he married Serenity all of a sudden and fell in love with her. His life and perspective had totally changed since then. He would start wishing he could get off work early to accompany his wife or get some rest.
