Chapter 173 Helpless Teddy
Teddy had barely stepped into the house when Griffin started chasing him around.
Teddy was about to lose it. "Come on, Dad! I'm too old for this! Mom, Grandpa, help! Dad's trying to kill me!"
This was just how things went between Teddy and Griffin. Teddy had always been a troublemaker, causing chaos wherever he went. If he wasn't getting into fights and getting beaten up one day, he was picking fights and beating others the next. Griffin was constantly at his wit's end, getting called to school almost every day. Teddy was a constant source of embarrassment for him.
Aiden came out, clearly annoyed. "Griffin, knock it off!"
Aiden's arrival finally gave Teddy a break.
Jessa came downstairs, looking unimpressed. "Look at you! Are you sure you're not older than your uncle?"
Teddy sighed. Were these really his parents?
Ever since Alexander started dating Allison, Jessa had been worried about when Teddy would find a girlfriend.
"Mom, am I really your son?" Teddy asked with a wry smile.
Jessa ruffled his hair with a chuckle. "Go freshen up. Your uncle and his girlfriend will be back this afternoon. Make sure you look presentable."
Alexander had a girlfriend? Who on earth would fall for him?
Curious, Teddy went to shower and change. But by dinner time, Alexander and Allison still hadn't returned. Instead, James had packed their things and taken them to a hotel.noveldrama
"My uncle took his girlfriend to a hotel, and you're all just okay with that?" Teddy asked, incredulous.
"Mind your own business, kid. Eat your dinner. We have things to discuss afterward," Aiden said.
Teddy figured his family wanted to catch up on his adventures over the past few years.
However, when a thick stack of women's photos was placed in front of him, he tried to bolt.
Griffin held him down on the sofa. "So, how long is your break?" Griffin asked.
"Seven days. Just seven days. I have a competition on Wednesday. I really don't have time!" Teddy pleaded.
Aiden nodded and looked at Jessa. "Make the most of these days. Arrange as many dates as possible. Don't waste this opportunity."
"Don't worry, Dad. I'll make sure he goes on as many dates as possible," Jessa said, sealing Teddy's fate.
By the time Allison and Alexander arrived at the hotel, James had already picked up their guests from the airport.
Allison knew Felix and Sabrina were coming but was surprised to see Carl.
"Carl, what are you doing here?" Allison asked, smiling as she walked over to hug him. "Welcome to Skycrest. Is this your first time here?"
Carl nodded, his eyes narrowing as he noticed her injured arm. His gaze turned icy as he looked at Alexander.
Sabrina and Felix were also concerned for Allison, glaring at Alexander. How could he have let her get hurt?
"Let's go to the room and rest," Carl said, reaching out to put his arm around Allison's shoulders.
Alexander quickly pulled her into his own embrace. "Let's go to the top floor. The rooms are ready."
Allison nodded, letting Alexander lead her away.
Carl's hand froze in midair as he watched them go, seething.
Alexander had booked the entire top floor, with two presidential suites for Allison and Carl, and business suites for Felix and Sabrina. Carl's bodyguards were also set up on the same floor.
Once they were settled, they gathered in Allison's suite for a meeting.
"Mr. Carter, you can leave. We have our own matters to discuss," Carl said bluntly.
Alexander clenched his jaw, feeling the urge to strangle him.
Allison was torn. If Alexander left, he'd feel humiliated, but if he stayed, they couldn't discuss certain things.
A thought struck Allison. "Alexander, why don't you work in the study while we use the living room?"
Alexander wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed her forehead. "I'll step out for a bit. Dinner will be ready soon. There's a restaurant down the hall. James will notify
you."
Allison nodded.
Alexander gave Carl a final glare before leaving.
In the hallway, Alexander and Carl faced off.
"Where's the person who hurt Allison?" Carl demanded.
"It was Allison's mother. I can't go too far," Alexander replied.
Carl, however, was unimpressed. Family or not, anyone who hurt Allison was on his hit list, including Alexander.
"Where's Cameron?" Carl asked.
He had come to deal with Cameron, and Alexander had handed that task over to him.

"Allison thinks Cameron has moved the service area here. He's got guts, I'll give him that," Alexander said.
Carl sneered. "If you want me to handle it, give me some territory."
Carl's demand was straightforward. Alexander smirked, "Planning to move the Hall family here?"
Carl rolled his eyes. "Allison's been deep into pharmaceutical research. There are some things she can only do in your country, so I'm planning to build her a factory and a lab."
Alexander raised an eyebrow. Talking about building a factory and lab for Allison right in front of him? Did Carl think he was invisible?
"Submit the proposal to James. You should stick to your own turf. Allison doesn't need
you meddling," Alexander said, walking away.
He headed straight back to the Carter Manor.
Seeing Teddy, Alexander couldn't help but sneer. "Did you crawl out of a cave or something? You look ancient."
Teddy was fuming, glaring at Alexander but not daring to hit him. Alexander had been
his childhood nightmare, constantly bullying him.
"Why are you back alone? Where's Allison?" Jessa asked.
Allison? Teddy looked at Alexander, then at the door. Was it the same Allison he knew, or just a namesake?
"Her friends are here. They're staying at a hotel. I came back to get her medicine," Alexander explained.
Jessa immediately fretted. "Why didn't you call? How could you leave Allison alone at the hotel? I'll get some food for her. She's injured and can't eat just anything."
Liliana joined in. "I'll pack some of the snacks I made this afternoon. And some fruit. Felicity, help me out."
The whole family sprang into action. Teddy, watching this scene, couldn't help but feel like the odd one out. Maybe he really was adopted.
