Chapter 232 In His Bed
Stay away!
Ronan screamed in his mind.
Freya vomited.
She vomited all over him!
Freya herself felt disgusted and rushed to the bathroom to continue vomiting. There were no words to describe Ronan’s feelings at this moment.
This was the first time he had been vomited on in his life. And it was the kind of anger that couldn’t be vented. Could he really argue with a drunk woman? She was already drunk. Wouldn’t it make him look petty to argue with her?
Fortunately, he had a room here. He went to take a shower and asked the staff to buy him a clean set of clothes. After cleaning up and returning to the private room, Freya was sleeping on the couch. Ronan glanced at the time. It was almost midnight. He sighed and carried her back to the room. He placed her on the bed and covered her with a blanket.
Ronan stood by the bed, looking at her. Freya, in her quiet state, was truly beautiful. She was a natural beauty, without the need for makeup to showcase her charm.
Ronan smirked, “If Elijah knew that you are now in the same room with me, lying unconscious on my bed, would he be infuriated?”
He really wanted to capture this scene and send it to Elijah.
“Do I really want to do this?” He asked.
How could Freya possibly answer him? Ronan was just hesitating, whether to do it or not. Thinking about what Elijah had done to him before, he decided to annoy that stingy and cunning man.
…
Airport.
Elijah got into the car, and Evan handled the luggage.
“It’s really unlucky this time, so many delays.” Evan complained.
Elijah remained expressionless throughout the journey, even a little cold.
Evan cautiously said, “Now that the identification results are out, we can confirm her identity. I think this trip was worth it.”
Elijah suddenly went abroad because Jack gave him a photo. The woman in the photo looked a lot like his mother. But his memories of his mother were somewhat blurred, and the person in the photo had aged. Nevertheless, he was still shocked by her appearance.
Jack had said at the time, “Gideon gave me this photo. He had seen your mother before. One time, by accident, he saw this woman and took the photo. If you agree to spare Thorne and the company, I will give you this photo and tell you where she is now.”
Gideon Montague had come back this time to collect Elara Montague’s body. Although he was angry and furious, Elara was already dead, and even if he argued with Jack, it would be useless. Moreover, Jack told him that the killer who killed Elara would surely die, which calmed his anger a bit.
After a pause, Jack continued, “Your mother had no sisters. Since her parents passed away, there are no relatives left on that side. It’s impossible for there to be someone who looks like your mother. Maybe your mother is still alive.”
Elijah didn’t hesitate and agreed immediately. After obtaining the photo and address, he immediately went abroad. He had been investigating this woman for the past few days, even getting a strand of her hair for a paternity test with Elijah. The results would be out soon.
In Evan’s opinion, this trip was worthwhile, and the exchange with Jack was worth it too. If Elijah’s mother was truly alive, that would be a good thing. It would make Elijah happier than seeking revenge on Thorne Silverton’s family, he thought. The only regret was that Freya didn’t come along. Elijah seemed to be in a bad mood because of her, never showing a smile from beginning to end.
They arrived at the residence quickly. The car stopped. Elijah got out of the car and glanced at Evan, saying calmly, “Go back earlier.”
“Yes.”
Elijah entered the house. Linda was still awake because Freya hadn’t returned yet. She was waiting for her.
“Mr Silverton,” Linda was surprised.
Elijah adjusted his collar and asked, “Where is she?”© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
Linda quickly understood and replied, “Ms Stone hasn’t come back yet.”
Linda used to call Freya “Madam,” but now that Elijah and the Silverton family had fallen out, Linda changed her way of addressing her.
“She hasn’t come back yet?”
Elijah lifted his hand and checked the time. What time was it already?
At that moment, his phone rang.
